I lived in MD until this year, and when I moved I was worried about finding a good place to satisfy all my nerdly needs. I could always switch to buying online, but then I wouldn’t really get that wonderful feeling that comes with the whole Comic Book Store experience. Within the first 48 hours, I was please to find Smash in our nearby mall. This is now 1 of 3 local comic book shops that I absolutely love! Smash is the shop that I frequent most often when looking for board game, card games, or rpg game supplies.

Awesome environment with a quite nerdy staff (the way I like it – *wink, snap fingers, point and give creepy smile (hahaha)) They definitely know their stuff. Feel free to spread your nerdy wings, wave your freak flag – have a 40 minute argument about which superhero would win in a fight or come dressed as Wonder Woman, Spiderman or paint yourself green for the Hulk — -you will not be judged here.
Definitely something for everyone – I love comic book stores-they’re a dying breed! The store has a massive selection and I’m really happy to watch it slowly but surely growing! David, the owner, is a pain in the @$$ sometimes but deep DEEEP down (really look hard) he’s a good guy.
If you’re a hardcore gamer they also do a lot of events on a weekly basis! Get off your nerdy butt and swing in… Or fly, whichever you prefer.
