Was told short staffed. Fifteen minute wait for table. More then half the tables were empty. Sagebrushs staffing is not the patrons problem. Never going there again.

I’ve only eaten in the bar area or at the bar. The tables are wobbly and the food is nothing special but the servers and everyone working are really nice. I’m staying at a hotel next door and after the second time coming the bartenders and some of the servers knew my name. Not to mention they pour a good drink. Since than I’ve been back over 10 times and the only thing I would like is the place to be open when I’m done work at 11.

Yeah not the greatest place. All 3 of our steaks were wrong and the waitress who we seen smoking outside prior to coming in never once washed het hands. And she was slow very very slow. Won’t be going back

Sat for 10 min before a waitress(not ours) approached us to ask if we had been helped. She took our drink and meal order and said our waitress would be with us shortly. A family sat across from us a few minutes after our order was taken and they got their drinks and a basket of rolls promptly. We still waited. Our waitress was no where to be found and no drinks after 20 min.

I got takeout and had to wait for over 20 minutes from the time I ordered. I was told it would take 10 – 15 minutes. The filet and sides were excellent though.

There’s really nothing wrong with this place as far as I can tell. I’d give it a basic 2.5 rating which is on par with most of your chain restaurants like Applebee’s, better than a Ruby Tuesday, but not quite a Lone Star. The chili, ribs, cole slaw, sweet potato, and their gooey, buttery bread that is served while you wait, is all good. I’ve had steak here and that was good too along with drinks from the bar. I wouldn’t stop by out of my way to eat here or anything, but it’s totally fine for a small town«steak house.»

Don’t come here. Save yourself the trouble! The management refused to accommodate my seafood allergy.

Saturday night in Sanford NC conducting training at a local customer. Sagebrush was a convenient stroll across the parking lot from the Holiday Inn. Sat at the bar, ordered a Jack and Diet Pepsi while narrowing down my selection for dinner. Bartender was nice, friendly and prompt. Decided on 8 Oz Prime Rib med, mashed potatoes and Mac & Cheese. Prime Rib was okay. Nothing to write home about but nothing to really complain about either. Mac and Cheese was spot on! Mashed potatoes were bland. Ordered a Banana Foster’s Cheesecake Sundae. Supposed to be cheesecake bites deep fried to perfection. What is deep fried to perfection? Either it is or it is not. Not a big fan. This this was a hot mess. Deep fried bites melted most of the ice cream over the side of the glass and down the stem before I ever received it. I could not touch it(the glass) the entire time I was eating it. The spoon was entirely too big. Could not get anything out of the bottom(best part… melted caramel and ice cream). Just disappointing. Was going to give a standard 3 star prior to desert but I am going to deep fry the 2 stars to perfection!

They only reason I am okay with giving 1 star is because the waitress was nice. The atmosphere wasn’t terrible and the people working there seemed friendly enough. But that’s not the reason you got out to EAT. The food was nasty. The Mac’n’Cheese was a blog of tasteless mush(something that would be served at a old folks home.) The mashed potatoes were sweet. Who makes SWEET mashed potatoes? I had to put ketchup on them just to eat them(my whole family felt the same way.) Way too greasy, like the grill hadn’t been cleaned off in ages.

Do I have to give it a star? Terrible. Horrible. Disgusting. Disappointing. The cheddar jack grits were dry and hard. The green beans tasted burnt. The sirloin tips were gristly. The environment was depressing. Looks run down. They should just close up shop and be done with it.

How is this place still open? I went there just to try it out and opted for the grilled chicken salad(to try and be somewhat healthy) and I was so disgusted on how greezzyyy the sandwich was. It was COVERED in cheese and had bacon and friend onion rings. I guess I should have known it was going to be a grease-fest with all of that on there, but I suppose it was the«healthiest» item on the menu. I couldn’t even finish it. I think if someone wants to clog their arteries like that they would probably just go to Golden Corral.

We went here on a Weds for lunch because kids eat free. On the day we went, the kids were out of school because of a snow day and the roads were really bad, so we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant. We ordered and the waitress brought out some complementary cheese biscuits. The were really really greasy and I only had a part of one. We ordered the main course, the wife and I split a burger and a chicken sandwich. My kids got the sirloin tips. The food seemed to take forever but when it did come out it was really good. The main reason that I am only giving them two stars is the service. The waitress was really slow, rarely came and checked in on us and just wasn’t up to par in my opinion, since again, we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant. I got up to get something from the waitress as she had been a while since checking on us and there all just sitting around the hostess both talking, so the obviously were not busy. Any way, this restaurant could be much better with better service for customers. And by the way, when the check was finally brought, it had the kids meals on there, so I reminded the waitress about the kids eat free on Weds, and her response was actually«most people don’t know about that, so we usually don’t offer it unless you ask». This just seems like a restaurant that isn’t managed very well and not interested in making customers have a good dining experience. One more comment towards the restaurant… FIXTHETRAIN… kids would love to see that thing going around, I have been there a few times over the years and the train never runs.

If it was possible to give a negative star rating this place wold deserve it. I made the mistake of going back here a few months back because my 7 yr old daughter thinks it is good. I got the sirloin and she got the ribeye. The sirloin was so thin i was confused as to why they even asked how i would like it cooked. Seems well was the only option. Not much better luck with the ribeye. I have been to this place several times over the years(usually when someone else was paying) and they consistently serve sub-par cuts of meat for the same price you would pay at an Outback or Texas Roadhouse. You would be better off going down the street to the Piggly Wiggly or Food Lion and throwing a steak on the grill instead of wasting your $ here. As a lifetime resident of Sanford i would not recommend this place to someone I hated. If you have $ 20 to spend find Café 121 instead. I am amazed this place has not shut down by now but it seems enough idiots in Sanford keep going to keep the doors open

This place was just depressing. The music was only being played in the bathroom. I was warned before I went there but I had to try it myself. Bad mistake. The steak was of poor quality and the general atmosphere was gloomy. Must avoid.

My family and I went in for lunch on a Saturday. I should have known by the empty parking lot to keep on driving but gave them a chance. NEVER again will I step foot back in this establishment! My baked potato was left over from the day before, it was so hard I could have donated it to the NHL for a puck! My sons pasta was cold and the pasta was dried up turning hard again. My daughters burger was burnt and tasted horrid. We hardly ever seen our waitress and had to beg for refills. When my smaller children became excited about the train track running over the tables at the bar we went to investigate and get a closer look. WRONG thing for me to ever do! There were dust bunnies bigger than the Easter bunny on the train track… which I will once again state runs over top of peoples tables and food.(One swift gust of wind when the door opens and I am sure that will season your dinner well) The floors were dirty looking which I assume was there form the night before and my table was greasy feeling. I a tempted to go back but only to take them a basket of cleaning supplies and directions on how to properly use them!

STAYAWAY! Sad to say I will never go back. Back in the day this resturant had great service, great food and people who cared. Not anymore. After receiving a military lifestyle magazine and the Sagebrush advertised free kids meals with adult purchases I thought I would try it out one last time. I carried the magazine with me, showed our waitress and was met with attitude right off the bat. She said they haven’t done that in years and I showed her the magazine was less than a week old. I pressed on with ordering… Not only did I have to get up, find someone in the dinning area to get drinks(let alone refill), but we had to find our own silverware… seriously! The food itself was ok other than the steak. VERY dry and overseasoned. Will never visit again. Don’t know how they stay in business.

Probably one of the worst fails I’ve ever experienced. The beef tips were very, VERY gristly(as in I just gave up on them after the 5th or so piece that I couldn’t chew up), the fried apples were chewy, and the service was mediocre at best. Then when it came time to pay the bill and leave the waitress finally came out to tell me(after a 15 minute wait) that the credit card machine was having problems. Then after another 10 minutes of waiting the manager finally came to the table to also tell me about the credit card machine. I ended up paying cash just so I could leave. That was my first and last experience with Sagebrush.

Went for lunch and ordered a special. There was nothing special about it. In fact, I was so disappointed that I don’t plan on ever going back.
