El Burrito Mexican Restaurant

I’ve eaten at five Mexican restaurants in the Fayetteville area. All were pretty good, but el Burrito is by far the best. Every dish we’ve had was tasty. The portions sizes are ample. And the prices are reasonable.

Usually we have a great experience here. Food is always great, and quick to come out from the kitchen.. staff is very friendly and efficient. HOWEVER, we looked online at the restaurant hours — which state they are open from 12pm til 9pm on Sunday –and drove all the way from Stedman to have supper, only to arrive at 8:30 pm to find the hours on the door do not match the hours posted on Unilocal.The door was locked! No supper at El Burrito for this disappointed couple tonight.. Ended up down the road and spent our money at Yesterday’s which is open till midnight.

Quality went down hill sence opening. Seats are so hard. Friendliness needs improvement

My Friday ritual, every Friday after work I order take out from here. The best Mexican food in the area. I had to go to Mi Casita in Spring Lake for a work event and all I could think about was how I wish we were at El Burrito instead. Great friendly staff and speedy service.

Authentic food, good prices and excellent service. What more is there to say? Even when the restaurant is slammed the wait is never more than about ten minutes. My family eats there two to three times weekly!

Man this is a hidden gem! We’ve been numerous times for both dine-​in and take-​out and only encountered super friendly employees. Everything we have tried here has been great. I was leery since it is in a random strip mall, but great food!

Fantastic customer service and we’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for food. The wait staff is entirely comprised of ninjas (very friendly ninjas). They manage to keep every cup in that place full, even when it is slam packed. I love their chicken soup, but I’ve never not liked a dish I’ve ordered from them.

We recently moved to the Cameron/​Sanford, NC area and this was the first restaurant in the area that we tried. Very impressed! We unfortunately arrived 10 minutes before closing time, and expected to possibly be turned away since it was so late. We instead got a very warm reception from the staff member (manager?) who greeted us when we came in. He was friendly and said that our late arrival time was no problem — he seated us and told us to take our time and to enjoy the meal. The wait staff was also friendly, and assured us as well to take our time and not to rush despite our late arrival.
The chips and salsa were average, but we liked the way they were served (the salsa comes in a small carafe, and each of us got our own dipping bowls in which to pour however much salsa we wanted).
Food was very good, and the menu included a section with vegetarian options.
Service was prompt and the food was good and filling.
Atmosphere is fun and festive without being too loud.
Best thing about our experience was the customer service. Friendly, prompt, and professional from start to finish.

Best Mexican around the area. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and good food. The music. An be pound and annoying at times but everything else makes up for it. We moved here in 2012 and have been frequenting this place ever since.

Great good and fast service. Can’t say enough good things about them. They preatty much do a excellent job with every aspect of business. If you are not happy with this restaurant you should probably not eat out.

Excellent Tex-​Mex spot for the Anderson Creek/​Spout Springs/​Benhaven, Barbecue area (considering its the only one) Gringos pack this place out all the time and keep coming back for more, I personally love it because of the convenience, cheap prices and the muy excellente food!

Just to start I do not write reviews, I use them all the time to base an opinion on a restaurant. I am from the west coast and grew up with very authentic Mexican food. Happened to sumble upon this restaurant by accident and very happy I did. Don’t get me wrong it’s still not true authentic but it is very close and tastes very fresh. From the fresh salsa and hot chips to the end of the meal I was thoroughly impressed. There margaritas are well priced and tasty as well. I would definitely place this as the best Mexican restaurant in all of Fayetteville, Sanford and southern pines area.

My first experience at this restaurant over a year ago was horrendous. .to the point that they told my party of 6 that we didn’t have to pay for our meals. Since then, I deployed and came back and decided to give them another try. This place was so packed, we had to wait 30mins to be seated. The restaurant is a little small, but cozy and the décor is very nice.
The food was wonderful and the service was better than I expected. They actually had alcohol and I was able to order a Margarita. Drastic change from the last time we were there. They had no tequila, no red bull, no beers on tap. This place will be a regular dinner spot for us.

This is my go to place when I want that fix for some Mexican food. The food is amazing, portions are great and prices are spot on. My wife and I have visited this place a few times in the past and each time the experience gets better. We absolutely love the food there.
