By the name and pricy menu you would think the ribeye steak would be a better cut, less fat and more flavorful. Next time I’ll go with the know brand steakhouses.

I had never been but my boyfriend had, this time we had a terrible experience. Our waitress took 10 mins to get our drink order. We wondered if she had forgotten about us. He took me in because of the prime rib, so that was what I ordered. That was the only reason I am giving this restaurant 2 stars. He order a prime rib sandwich. Each time he bit into the sandwich, it was fat. He ended up not eating the sandwich because it was so fatty. The worst part of the entire experience was it took us from when we sat down to when we got out food, 45 mins. We even asked our server«how much longer»? She had no personality and did not seem like she liked her job. Being a server is not for everyone, I would guess not the job for her. Overall I would not go back, just not a restaurant I would give a second chance.

Our food was cold, missing seasoning and customer service. We went on a Friday night. We’ve heard so many good things that we will be willing to try again on a less busy night.

Been here 4 times and poor quality meat. Not sure what the obsession is. The parking lot is always packed. Snakebites are not good. Just a disappointment.

Not bad but nothing great either, just a middle of the road solid steakhouse. I’ve had both lunch and dinner here.

When I moved to this area three years ago, I thought I knew what good prime rib was. Wow!!! Was I ever wrong! My girlfriend and I was looking for a place to go out to eat one evening. I was new to the area and had only been to a couple of places in the area and she asked if I had ever been to colorados. Ever since that first bite, I have had not one bad experience. Their menu is full of other items from salads to burgers to steak. Myself personally, not a big fan of the rest of the menu. That could be just because I really their prime rib! If you’re looking for a great lunch they offer a prime rib sandwich that is to die for. It’s their regular prime rib, a smaller cut put between two slices of heavenly bread. At dinner I recommend the 16 ounce prime rib with a fully loaded baked potato and a side salad. If you enjoy a drink with your dinner then take advantage of their two for one drinks. To close out this review I want to share a story that has really put them into my book as far as one of the best restaurants in Seminole county. It was late one night around 845 pm and we were craving some prime rib. We really wanted colorado’s. We live 20 minutes away and we knew they closed at 10. So by chance I called them up and told them we really wanted to come down there but we knew they closed soon. So I asked them if I could place an order by phone and have it waiting for us when we got there. Now, I’ve never tried this with any restaurant and was fully expecting them to say no, which I would have been ok with. I’ve worked in a couple of restaurants and have seen places get burned with situations similar to this. To my surprise they said they would and didn’t even ask for a payment upfront. We arrived at 920 and it was all waiting there for us and ready to eat, just as we ordered! I really hope this place never closes!

The last time I went here was a couple days ago, and the service wasn’t so bad. The food was great, our waitress was sweet, and we didn’t have to wait very long for our food. However, one star was lost because the entire time we were eating, we heard some of the waiters talking smack about the tables they were waiting. I’m not sure they knew we could hear, but still. Other than that, amazing service!

What a great place to have a GREAT steak, baked potato, and salad. This was my first visit but will certainly not be my last! Bryn was my server and she was excellent. I came in an hour before closing on deaths doorstep after not eating all day and instead of dragging her feet she was quick to get me some bread and salad to get my sugar level up and back to normal. Great experience!

Having grown up in the west, I’m familiar with how a steak house should be. Colorado’s always makes me feel like I’m back home. Some call the place dingy. I call it homey, warm, and comfortable. Some of the best steaks in town.

First of all. smoke prime rib is not good. Ordered medium well and it came out well done. You might not think thats much difference but they cooked the juice right out of it. The stuffed mushrooms was nothing but a saugage roll in a bowl. This place is not expensive but it is not much better than a Ponderosa. And they might have better cooks.

EXCELLENTFOOD! Finally, a restaurant that is not afraid of serving the food hot. The salads have homemade dressing, the smoked prime rib was amazing and that homemade bread pudding — WOW! Casual atmosphere and very clean. I will definitely be coming back. :)

I went for lunch on Friday. They have a fish sandwich special on Friday. My friends opted for it. I went with the double burger again. I sould have gone with the fish. Not that the burger was bad, it was great. Huge patties, bigger than I remember. A real two-fister, bulldog hunch burger. Cooked a perfect medium. Nice and drippy. But the fish sandwich looked AWESOME! They both got the fried fish(battered), but I think you can get it blackened and pan fried too. Side of fries, salad substitute for $ 1.50. They only bad points: the kitchen is slow. The place was at least half empty and it took a while to get our food. I could only imagine the delay when they are packed. The other point was the waitress. She could have been a little more attentive to our table. She only checked back once. We had to flag down another waitress for refills and steal napkins from another table. The burger juice was running down my arm like Niagra Falls! If you have the time to spend, it’s great. If you are in a hurry for lunch, I would recommend going elsewhere. But the food makes up for the delay.

Our first time here was terrible. Poor service & cold food. But, last night turned everything around! Our server Brandon was AWESOME!!! Kept our drinks flowing, brought us hot food … we had the most delicious steaks! Our main courses(a New York Strip Steak and a HUGE T-bone!!) were HOT because we had a chance to enjoy each one before the next one was brought out unlike the first time when we hadn’t even finished our appetizers before the waitress brought the salads out followed by the steaks not EVEN two bites later. Our main entrée sat there getting colder and colder before we even had a chance to get to it. Last nights dinner though was EXCELLENT as was the server & service. I’m glad we decided to give this place a 2nd chance!

Went there for the first time, I have been passing this place every day for 9 years and tonight we ate there. What can I say, fool that I am to have not gone sooner. The food was great, the service was great… we loved it and it’s 5 min from my house.

The atmosphere is great. It would almost be kitsch if it wasn’t so authentic. The service was good. The other people I dined with seemed pretty happy with their food, but I ordered the L’il Steak which turned out to be a flat piece of disappointment, especially for the price.

My wife and I have went here twice as we live in Sanford and are always looking to go to locally owned businesses. We are going to have to write off Colorado’s after two disappointing visits. The first time I got their Smoked Primed rib which was highly recommended by the server. My Prime rib had so much fat on it that I hardly had any meat and my wives steak was a piece of shoe leather. Our second visit was not any better. I tried their Silver city Chicken and the onions that were on top of the chicken tasted like they had been re-heated after soaking in dirty water or something. My chicken breast was dry and over cooked and the bake potato tasted like it had been boiled instead of baked. We gave this place a second chance but we are done with Colorado, maybe we will give it a a try in another year or so and hope they get a new cook and servers that want give good service.

This a review of a steak house by/for those who don’t eat steak. As a pescatarian, I know I can always join people for a meal at a steak house because there WILLBE a fish option. Not to disappoint, Colorado’s Prime Steak did indeed have a fish option, and I got it, and it definitely left something to be desired. I ordered the blackened fish sandwich, which said it was going to come on a Kaiser roll, well, it came on a hoagie roll, little better than a hotdog bun IMO. The fish was not cooked well, nor was it seasoned well. Overly salty and greasy. For a drink I got an Arnold Palmer, and it was good. I have no objections to the décor, the waitstaff, nor the customer amenities(bathroom). If anyone suggests going there again, I would probably join them, but I would get something different. Not sure what though…
