You’ve been beat to death by the TSA, but you lived. Now it’s time to set back and finally grab lunch as you wait for your flight. Well folks, there isn’t a lot to choose from at Sanford International, but this is one of the options. Now the good news — it’s actually pretty good! The basic cheeseburger was thick and flavorful with fresh toppings. Honestly a really decent burger. The fries were fresh, a bit greasy and unsalted — this isn’t health food, but maybe they are at least trying to reduce your sodium content??? Of course salt is plentiful if you look around. I grabbed a drink from the cooler to nurse over the 2 hour wait I had to board my flight. Plus the staff was extremely friendly, which I feel is a major plus. Ever been to McDonald’s at O’Hare? I rest my case. There they appreciate that you DO have a choice for food. Down sides — plan on spending $ 15 for a burger /fries /drink which is in the Five Guy’s range, but then again so is the product. Limited seating and other people being too lazy to clean up their trash is a problem in the commons area for eating. The best summary I can give is, next time I have a flight out of Sanford, I won’t hesitate stopping here again. That to me is a compliment in the world of airport food.

Very pricey for very subpar food — my mom’s egg wrap was huge but not horrible, my chicken wrap tasted pretty bad — I only ate half because I was starving, then threw the rest away. Spend your money elsewhere.
