John Paras Furniture & Mattress

Rick helped us get our couch with a console with a USB port that reclines. We found the one. We priced it out and went to save money for it. A few weeks later we returned to purchase the couch of our dreams. We were misquoted. But Rick made it right. The couch was delivered with out incident. The delivery boys were beyond awesome. I have purchased all my sofas at John Paras. Tomorrow I am going to buy a new dining room table. Rick will be my guy he has excellent customer service.

Whatever you do don’t buy a rock hard bed from these guys if you foresee financial troubles from a mountain of credit card debt left by an ex-​husband following a divorce.
My poor wife had to file for bankruptcy due to her dead beat ex leaving her with thousands of dollars in debt. Before going through the process though she asked John Paras to just drop the late fees and work with her on making payments to pay off the remaining balance of a couple hundred dollars. John Paras though wouldn’t budge and she had to add John Paras to her pile of creditors.
At the bankruptcy hearing only one creditor showed up and it was good olé John Paras requesting she surrender her queen mattress, box spring and bed frame. My wife explained to them that she could surrender the queen bed only because the box spring was destroyed when a pipe burst in her apartment at Santa Fe Apartments which flooded the room and ruined the box spring which was on the floor because the bed frame wasn’t assembled. She also never agreed to return the mattress and that John Paras would have to make arrangements to come pick it up if they want a dirty used bed back so bad. John Paras agreed under oath.
So on ⁸⁄₁₂ we received a letter from John Paras telling us nothing but lies. They claim that under oath my wife agreed to RETURN the mattress, BOX SPRING and BED FRAME. Total crock because we don’t have the box spring and she explained that in court under oath to John Paras because it was destroyed. The other lie was the saying that she agreed to RETURN the mattress. LIES, LIES, LIES!!! They in court under oath agreed to pick it up.
We have never dealt with a more petty company than John Paras who would rather fight a mother of 2 young children over a rock hard cheap queen bed with a balance of a couple hundred dollars than make a deal and let her pay it off. Might I add that she paid for most of the queen bed set and was on time with her payments until her lawyer told her to stop making them after numerous attempts to work a deal with them.
Take note folks that when you buy a bed from John Paras more than likely there us a chance you are buying our old bed. YUCK!!!

I’ve driven past John Paras Furniture a countless number of times over the years and never stopped in. We finally stopped over this weekend and they had a surprising amount of furniture we liked and at prices we could afford.
Everything was on sale this week for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and John Paras provides free delivery and setup too. The included delivery and setup is a great bonus and very much appreciated.
During our visit a salesperson named Nick helped us out. Nick was great to work with because he was actually helpful and not pushy. We ended up buying a kitchen table and chairs for our new home and a nice end table too. There were some sofas we also liked, but we’ll have to come back another time to buy those.
Overall I was really happy with my experience shopping at John Paras and would definitely recommend taking a look if you’re furniture shopping.
