Mitch, the owner, opened up the shop and let us in on a Monday so I could buy a gift certificate for my husband, even though it was «cleaning day» and the shop was technically closed. A+ for service.
Today my husband redeemed the gift certificate for a straight razor head and face shave and he had a great experience. They took their time to do it right and he was impressed.
I’m happy to have a new go-​to gift spot for my impossible-​to-​shop-​for spouse.

I showed the barber the exact haircut that I wanted. He somehow managed to cut its way shorter than I asked in he noted that he missed some spots yet did not fix them. Only use if you are planning on shaving your head

I read the review with less than five stars and yes it has a woman cutting hair but unless the owner wants to get in trouble for discrimination a qualified woman is as welcome as a man there in my opinion.
As for the kid there I can understand that being frustrated if it interfered with your cut but I have been getting my hair cut there since they opened and have never seen that kid there. I do bring in my five year old and he hangs out with me while I get my hair cut and no one has ever said anything or seemed to mind. Dude it’s a barber shop not a biker bar. Not really sure what you are wanting to talk about in public with people you don’t know that a woman and kid can’t hear.
As for the review for me, I love the hair cut and got a full facial shave today and loved it. Classic hot towel, warm lather, good smells and a laid back relaxing time.
If you want a laid back place to get your hair cut you have found it. Again another locally owned place. In fact Mitch is there every day cutting hair. Love the local guys!

Ask for Vinny.
I took my dad up here to get a haircut and a straight razor shave. The staff was friendly and chatty. Vinny was amazing put my cantankerous pop at ease and trimmed his beard to be a sharp looking man. The shave was my dad’s favorite part with the hot towels and lotion. The extra care Vinny gave to make sure my dad’s oxygen never got harmed was top notch. I will be stopping by on a regular saturday basis.

PROS: Haircut was good, and my barber, Erin, included a complementary neck shave which is normally $ 3. CONS: I was looking for a traditional barbershop atmosphere, and this place just didn’t deliver. The décor is shabby, and there’s some sort of office attached to the barber’s area, which had two guys (presumably other barbers) hanging around in it. Erin had two of her 10-​yr oldish sons with her, which was kinda weird. I am looking for a men’s lounge complete with some guy-​talk, not a mom with her two kids. It just seemed like your typical small business that just doesn’t try hard enough with the details and is destined to fail. Too bad. I really wanted to like it.

This used to be an electronics repair shop. Don’t know what it was before that. Looks like it was once a double-​wide. There’s plenty of parking on the east and south.
Great shop! Can’t remember his name but he’s nice. He has help come in for Fridays and Saturdays to cut and to work the counter. There’s three or four chairs so he’s got room to expand. There’s a TV, plenty of magazines, foosball table and water cooler. He distributes salsa and sometimes there’s samples. He’s got a bunch of framed prints in the back that I suppose are available for purchase. Seems like he’s a bit of a military airplane buff judging from the prints and magazine available.
A basic cut was around $ 15. He does a hot lather neck shave. I suppose you could pay extra for a hair wash. He’s a professional.
For what it lacks on the outside, he’s more than classed it up on the inside. It’s a novel approach for a barber in Sandy. He deserves support, he provides a quality service at a reasonable price. I’ve been in a couple of times and the vibe I get is that he’s going to make it.

I stopped by here once and haven’t gotten a haircut or shave anywhere else since. Mitch and Eric are both great, check it out.
