All I can say is Wow! Went off a recommendation to check out BrickHouse and I am so glad I did. I was in desperate need of some hair TLC, these grey’s are coming in way to early my friends and so I booked an online appointment with Chelsea. New to UT, I have to say everyone I have met are some of the nicest people and Chelsea was no exception. She listened to exactly what I was looking for, took her time, gave me some helpful foodie tips for the area and made this girl feel like a million bucks. I truly felt like I was in heaven and didn’t want to leave. My color looks amazing and I couldn’t be happier. I already have my next appointment booked! Thanks BrickHouse — this momma left one happy client!

This place is the worse, I normally never write a review however this place is not friendly at all. I went in for a ombré, my stylist bleached my entire head(mind you I had hair down to my lower back). She had another client waiting so she dried(not styled) my hair and sent me of my merry way(no toner no nothing) I came home and my hair was not only fried but so many different colors(which I understand because lifting color is a processes right) so I called to have this fixed, toned what not. They were rude when I came back and blamed me. They fixed it to carrot top red and then charged me to cut the fried pieces of hair off. So I went to Sally’s bought black hair dye and covered it. It took me a year later to trust some one with my hair! However she damaged it so bad my hair was all different sizes because of breakage that my new stylist had to cut my hair to my shoulders where most my hair underneath couldn’t get past. I will never ever ever go here and don’t not recommend anyone else!

Booked an appointment for a haircut. Arrived on time. Waited in the lobby for 15 minutes. Sat in the stylist’s chair for another 30 minutes with a head of wet hair while I watched the stylist wrap another client’s entire head of hair in foils. Not one person came by to tell me that my stylist, who I could see clearly, was going to be late… as in REALLY late. Got up and walked out with a head of wet hair. Fifteen minutes is not enough time to cut hair and that’s all of the time that was left in the appointment. I have a schedule, too. When I make an appointment, that’s my time. A HUGEDISAPPOINTMENT.

Typically I don’t leave reviews unless the experience is amazing or awful. I gave my wife a gift certificate to get a pedicure here. The girl who started her pedicure took 1 ½ hours to take off her shellac polish which normally takes 15 minutes. My wife did not plan on 2 hours for a pedicure so she had to leave before getting the actual pedicure. When she went to check out they charged her for a pedicure-even though she only had her polish removed. She spoke with the manager and said she was happy to pay for the polish removal but not a pedicure. The manager said they had to charge her for a pedicure because she booked a pedicure. Will never return to the salon. Hopefully no one else has a similar experience in the future.

I have gotten a few different services from the Brickhouse retreat, all of which I left happy with. About every 8 weeks I see Maribel, my hairstylist, who always does such a great job on my hair. There has not been one time I have left feeling unsatisfied with her work. She came highly recommended from my previous hairdresser who recently moved back to California. I highly recommend that if you are in the market looking for a new hairdresser to take a chance on Maribel, she is great! I also have gotten my eyebrows done and had a spa pedicure here. They definitely know how to pamper you! I will say that while my eyebrows turned out great, I do appreciate the attention to detail and professionalism I got over at European Wax Center slightly more. My pedicure was amazing, the scrub they used on my feet/legs was very nice. Lastly I have gotten two maternity massages as well with(I believe it’s Chelsea, but will update if I am wrong) which have been incredible! She has worked out some serious knots in my back which have left me feeling completely relaxed. I am confident it has had a positive affect on my overall mood/irritability. I had to prebook another! Prices are reasonable/standard in my opinion, the spa is not necessarily an entire experience like you would find maybe over at sego lily day spa… But if you’re not looking for that experience and just wanting a great massage then I would choose brick house!

An absolutely wonderful salon and spa experience. I see Misha for my hair about every six weeks and have done so for the past 10 years. I also see Tamara for my brows and it had massages and pedicures here as well. Beautiful clean environment with friendly staff. Slightly expensive but worth every penny

This is my go to place to buy gifts for the women in my life. I have bought gift certificates for my wife, daughters, and mom. They all love it there. They can’t wait to go back.

Ashley is so awesome! She does an amazing job with my color and always helps me figure out what needs to be done each time I come in. I get compliments on my hair color all the time!!!

I went there for a deep tissue massage(Chelsie). It was my first time at the place. She was either as painful as a broken massage chair or so soft it felt like patting. It felt like I was at a school taking a massage with a beginner. She was also five minutes short but at that point it was just not working for me anyways. I tried to give her directions but after a few times it started feeling pointless. At the end it did not feel anything. I would rather have stayed home with my family and saved my $ 75 for something else.

So far, I have enjoyed the services I’ve tried at Brickhouse: haircut and waxing. Next on the list is to get a massage. Once I’ve been back for more I will revise my rating as needed. Staff is friendly and professional. Atmosphere is good too. What I love about this place is that I can always get in quickly. Prices seem comparable or a little less than other nearby spas and I’m pretty sure they accept SpaFinder gift certificates which is a plus.

Thankfully found Brickhouse Retreat Salon & Day Spa via Unilocal after I tried to set up an appointment at The Kura Door. TKD receptionist was a bit rude, so I just searched for another option. Everyone at BRSDS was really nice and I appreciated that, especially being an out of town guest. I was able to quickly set up an appointment on the same day for a deep-tissue massage since I needed it from my snowboarding falls and spills. It’s not an easy location to find, but somehow with my handy GPS, I made it to the spa. Just like it’s namesake, it’s a brickhouse! Upon entry, the staff was friendly and led me right in. I took some pictures while I sat in the waiting room( & ), Calming and soothing ambiance! Chelsey was my masseuse and she was good. She made me feel comfortable from the get-go and it was an excellent hour! I felt refreshed and ready to head back up to the slopes! I was really happy that I didn’t feel greasy afterwards, which often happens when too much oil is used. I would def recommend Chelsey to anyone who needs a good massage! Also, the room that we were in was soothing and just the right temp( ). All in all, BRSDS was everything I needed. Not too luxurious, just the right price, and enough for you to forget your cares for just a little bit of time. Ahhhhhhhh…

This salon is the best I have ever been to. They pamper me so wonderfully every time I am there! I have been going to Brick House since June 2008, and it just keeps getting better! Jennifer Steadman is my stylist, and I adore her! Not only does she do a masterful cut and color, she is an educator and will take great pains to educate me on how to recreate the style at home. Angie is truly the Nail Doctor. No matter how crazy my nail situation is(I have had my big toe nails fall off several times after amjor hikes), Angie always puts me back together and makes my tootsies look fabulous. This salon is my heaven away from home.

I’ve only been here twice, and it takes me a little while to warm up to a new spa/salon — so maybe with the use of more services, I’ll come back and upgrade with another star or two. The biggest plus for me with this salon(other than I really like the aesthetic of the main entrance [once you get up the stairs] is that it opens at 8am on Saturday. Yes, 8am. It may seem bizarre and grotesque to some that I appreciate salon services at 8am, but I just want things out of the way so that I don’t have to interrupt the rest of my day — now that I’m thinking of it, 8am might be enough for«yay, I’m a fan!» I’ve had waxing and a massage — both were good; both professional. My massage(Swedish) lasted an hour(no shorting on time) and was thorough — and by thorough, I mean that my glutes appreciated the extra attention, especially after the running I’ve been doing lately. When Andrew asks if there are areas you don’t want massaged, it’s best to know that he’s not afraid of ALL areas. For me, every muscle deserves equal treatment, but that might not work for everyone. I also appreciated that he met with me afterwards and summarized the areas that were problematic and what I should be doing to help myself(I’m pretty sure that subliminally he said to quit my job…). So if this is your area of town, a visit to the Brick House is worth it, especially if you’re an early riser.
