Ron Reach, LMT / Northside Myofascial-Release

Myfascial Release Therapy was recommended to me by my regular massage therapist. Despite going for routine massages, he wasn’t able to get to the right level of depth (even in a deep tissue massage) to work my muscles as they needed to be. I had chronic back pain as a result of pulled muscles from old surgeries and just beating my body playing sports. MFR is essentially going at the muscle in a way that breaks up the muscle and scar tissue at the connective layer. The result is a true change to your muscles that lasts.
With all this said, Ron is a genius. He’s very well trained and knows the body very well. He’s very professional and takes his practice seriously. He has a nice office in Sandy Springs, very close to I285. Scheduling is amazingly easy as it’s all online. He is good at listening and develops a program tailored for each person. His pricing seems in line with industry and is available online. As of this post, I’ve been through 8 sessions and I’m continually amazed the effect of the MFR giving soothing relief to chronic issues and how long it lasts. It’s been a great investment. I’m back to riding my bike and running, which I could not do before Ron’s treatments. I could not recommend MRT or Ron any higher.

I was skeptical of myofascial release at first. I thought it would be a targeted deep tissue massage with some flute music. I didn’t even think I had any ‘problem’ areas. Wrong. Myofascial release is uncomfortable, at times even painful when you are getting worked on but the results are unbelievable. Unlike massage, where you are sore again in two days, the results of MR are lasting.
Ron is obviously talented and takes his work very seriously, continuously seeking and integrating new training. In just two sessions, he has opened up my shoulders in a way that facilitates handstands, headstands, and other shoulder-​reliant yoga moves in a way that I never would have been able to do on my own. That’s pretty awesome for a girl who thought she didn’t have any problem areas.
Ron is very professional and friendly. He makes scheduling a breeze with an online scheduler and payment painless with a square reader (hellllooo Amex fans). After the first session, I bought a package. Hopefully one of many more to come because I want my body feeling this good all the time!

I had been in several car accidents, and my left shoulder was pushed forward and often caused my left arm to fall asleep. Ron’s expertise has increased my range of motion and stopped the numbness. I highly recommend his work.
Specifically:

–The mode of massage that Ron uses, myofascial release, is effective and lasting.
–His office space is clean, comfortable, and welcoming; and he customizes music to the client’s preferences.
–On several occasions, while sitting in the waiting area for my appointment, the client that was just worked on has come out of the massage room and expressed how relieved they felt and how pleased they were with the work they just received.
