Apparently customizing your sandwich isn’t a thing at this location. I’ve gone to many firehouse sub’s, and I’ve ordered the same sandwich time after time and added mayo and onions. After telling the cashier my order, I was told twice«That’s not how we make it.» At first I thought this was a misunderstanding and responded, «Of course. Can you add mayo and onions?» And again I was given the«That’s not how we make it» response. Frustrated, I told him I’ve never had issues adding them on prior and if they can’t do that, I’ll be happy to leave. He went on to make my sandwich as I ordered and managed to give Mr an extra side of attitude until I left. If I could give customer service a 0, I would. Unfortunately Unilocal won’t allow, so I’ll settle for a 1 and will not visit this location in the future.

IMHO, the best chain sub shop — better than Subway, Quizno’s, Jimmy John’s and the rest. Super tasty subs(my usual is the Firehouse Steak & Cheese) in a clean environment. The team at this location is über friendly and efficient. Both dine-in and carry out are great. Word of warning though — the parking lot is a train wreck, especially at lunch time.

This chain has pretty goods subs but I like Jersey Mikes better. Staff is great, its clean and inexpensive. The ONLY problem is that they use«packaged«lettuce like Fresh Express which ain’t fresh and tastes that way. Otherwise its cool.

I went here on my Birthday, and(hint) they actually give you a free half sub on your Birthday day(with ID)! So, right then and there I was happy. I got a free, delicious sub and was in no way disappointed. The service was fast, the food was delicious, and the staff was quick. Around noon on a weekday, they weren’t exceptionally busy so I was in and out in no time at all.

Ordered the veggie sandwich and got a lousy bread with almost no cheese, a few pieces of bell peppers, and some sauteed onion. No lettuce, no tomato, and it looked and tasted horrible. Will never go there and I recommend to you not to go either. This is what I got:

Great Firehouse location. I went in with 5 kids and they were very patient and good with them. Food was great!

The meatball sub is always money. The seasonal subs make for a nice change of pace. Staff is very friendly at this location and the quality of the meats/veggies/bread never disappoints.

Alright y’all, I always loved Firehouse Subs but this one is my official favorite because on a Friday night they stayed open for me and my crew! We called on our way home from a party in Midtown to see what time they closed. This was during this franchise’s first week of business so the manager said if we made it there by 10-or-so he would stay just for us! Our food was fresh and delicious. I love the collection of hot sauces available for topping the subs(my favorite is the Virginia Gentleman). Washed down with a cold Cherry Limeade, my tummy was full and in foodie bliss. I was a very happy Lauren P. that night. I’ve been longing for a sandwich joint close to my Sandy Springs neighborhood and now we finally have one! We’ve been back a few times already and Firehouse has maybe been open for two months. Surely we won’t be able to count the number of sandwiches we’ll enjoy over the coming years. Firehouse Subs — you are my sammich friend for life.

So, I love sandwiches. A lot. But I’ve always been far more into making them myself and not very into sandwiches from chains. I know my dad loves this chain, and I only tried it once years ago and probably ordered salad or something and was disappointed. Well, this place recently opened in like a boom of restaurants in the bottom of this building on Glenridge, and one day I open my mailbox and find a coupon for a free sub. Nothing says give it another shot like a free sandwich. I stopped in on my way back from downtown around 2:30pm, so it was pretty empty. The owner took my order, and he was really nice and friendly. I ended up adding chips and a drink, mostly because I was thirsty… but they have one of those Coke Freestyle machines, aka the closest way to achieve perfection, aka Mezzo Mix(a bit of Fanta Orange + Coke Zero = heaven). So I was in. My sandwich was ready in less than the 5 minutes I was told, and I took it home to eat. As Queen Oblivious, I really didn’t pay attention to the owner’s name, though I am guessing it’s Rich based on the receipt and that his name is listed for catering on the site, so hopefully-Rich said goodbye to me, even calling me by name, as I left. Nobody understands how much I love being addressed by my name when I’ve just given it for a to-go order. I got a steak and cheese sub, which I guess is supposed to be like a cheesesteak. I have no idea why I don’t eat sandwiches like this more often because these are like my favorite things on bread. Cheese, peppers, onions, steak. I think they also put mustard and mayo on, I could taste the mustard and it was a really welcome addition. Never thought to do that. It was really, really good. I’m sure there are better out there, but for ease and taste this was pretty great. The medium size sandwich was enough for me, I definitely have zero room for the chips right now. I will definitely stop back soon since it’s on my way back from MARTA. Before there was really nothing interesting foodwise all along Glenridge from Medical Center for me to stop and grab something on the way home(I am usually absolutely starving all the way back), but now there are several options that are pretty easy to access on the way back.
