B & B Excavation

We had to replace our septic system, I got a recommendation from a coworker that had his replaced and he was fully satisfied. So I did my usual three or four bids, and they were the best price and of course the most qualified.
This a family run company, the owner (father) came by to discuss the project (on time) and he sent us a bid in about 3 days in writing. They discussed have their own engineer to develop the calcs and plans for the local Board of Health permits. They coordinate with the town for all issues, they came to do the perc test and it ran smooth. When we hired them they took care of everything.
We needed an extra chamber for our septic design, they originally (verbally) quoted 3 at the perc test and we ended up with 4. They explained that the engineer felt more comfortable if this was done. Hey it was only another $ 150 so they said it will not be any more labor charge just the material. I agreed with no hesitation.
They are very up front with all issues and they don’t hide anything.
They came to install (there son is the forman of the crew) and yup it is very nerve racking to know they are going to dig up your yard (but that what they have to do). I stayed home to watch and they were very clean, minimizing on their excavation and the clean up was beautiful. Again they do everything! that is the best when I only had to pay one check to them instead of multiple people having to coordinate schedules and information.
We were so impressed with their upfront professional and friendly business, We expanded the scope of work. We always wanted to expand our driveway (simple excavation with new crushed stone) so we decided to ask them to do this work after the septic project since they were still on-​site. This was the best thing we have done, we love the job that they did.

We had a problem about 5 months into our new septic system (it was a Friday about 4 in the afternoon). Our downstairs toilet was backing up. (NOT onto the house). Well I went out to the tank and it was high… What the heck???
So, I called the company (the wife answered) she was extremely nice and said her husband would call back. He called in 10 minutes, we discussed the problem and he said someone would get back to me. Again 10 minutes later the son called and he said he is on his way. Keep in mind this company is 50 minutes away from my house. He showed up and we did some trouble shooting and we found out an issue with the distribution box was clogged and he was able to fix this very easy with some hydraulic cement. (I am in engineering and I know what happened) some silt filtered into it over time and it was a fluke thing. The cement made sure it would not happen again, (which is did not).
The point of this follow up is to show that they back up their work. when the Son was done fixing it we shared a beer and he said he was in his hunting blind and came for me. That says alot about this company.
I have not had any issues and I would recommend this company to anyone for anything they do. Great job B&B.
