Great family place. Menu is wide variety from fresh fish to fried bar food. Little slow with service but we had a table of 10. They do add 20% to bill for tip-not happy about that.

Great place for locals to enjoy good food at reasonable prices. Great perch, and other dishes are very good too! If you want to avoid the Chain restaurants, and just want to eat good food in a reasonable time, go here.

What a great place. On vacation and wanted to find a place that served fresh fish(walleye or perch). This place has very good fresh fish. The beer wall was very neat as well. We also got to meet the previous owner who happens to be the new owners father. His name is Terry DeMore. He was a pro boxer and is in the hall of fame. Very nice guy and great to talk to. Highly recommend this place.

This place might look bad from the outside but the inside wasn’t as bad. The server was friendly and we got our drinks pretty quickly. That’s all we really liked about the place. We ordered the calamari for appetizer but didn’t get it because they forgot. We also got the crabby burger which was over cooked and dry while I ordered medium well. The offshore burger wasn’t that special either. The burger patties were different. The offshore patty was thick while the crabby patty was thin and looked frozen. It came with fries which were ok. Overall we didn’t like the food enough based on the reviews.

Excellent restaurant. The outside does not look that fantastic but inside the food and service is great. Enjoyed the beer wall and was able to sample several beers without having to drink to much of any one beer. The perch and walleye were great — not over breaded or super greasy. Very reasonable prices.

I’m so stuffed!!! Crab dip was best I’ve ever had. Walleye platter was amazing. Hubby had offshore platter and we couldn’t stop eating until it was all gone. Beer wall was new to us and fun to experiment with different craft beers. Very old building, outside makes it look like it belongs on a dock but don’t let that scare you. Greeted by owner who checked on our food and informed us this was his 58th year!

My wife and I were in Sandusky to do Cedar Point for our anniversary and decided to do some seafood for dinner. We opted to give this restaurant a try and were definitely not disappointed. My wife had a coconut shrimp special and I had a a half and half walleye/perch dinner. I got the lobster bisque as a side and she got fries and green beans. My wife loved her shrimp and the green beans were excellent, finished with some salt and parmiggian, they were an excellent side. The fries we ere good and the tables all had malt vinegar to go with them. My bisque, it’s probably some of the best lobster bisque I’ve ever had. I could have only that and still been highly pleased. The fish was very good. It was well cooked and moist with a very nice, light breading. It didn’t cover up the fish, just helped it along. Since it was a special occasion we also did a chocolate/peanut butter tart for dessert. It was quite good, I would have preferred more chocolate vs peanut butter but my wife love it. With an appetizer, two dinners and a dessert the total still was less than $ 50 too so it won’t break the bank to get awesome seafood. We will definitely return next time we’re in town and we’ll be telling our friends to come here as well.

Found this place on Unilocal after a night stay at Kalahari we wanted something more then the chain restaurant… don’t let the shabby outside fool u. the inside has vaulted ceilings and wood all over. it was clean and bright. We where greeted shortly after sitting down r server was super nice I had a 2 off coupon from Unilocal for any app so we ordered the seafood nachos(a suggestion from the waitress) they came out with shrimp lobster and crab with Pico and a house sauce. they where great and large enough size for three to four to share. not the only toppings on top either. The kids got the chicken basket adult size. huge more then they could eat. I ordered the bacon chedder burger super juicy with a butt ton of fries. I could not finish the fries. My husband got the offshore burger came with crab dip on top(tasted yummy he let me try) he was able to polish his off. over all great meal bill came to 53. didn’t think that was bad for four meals three pops and appetizer. Will Def return to try out some of the seafood.

Don’t be turned off by the exterior view of this restaurant– the food was great. Started with the lime/shrimp/Avocado lettuce wraps and we shared the Crab/avacado quesadilla, and the scallop basket. Everything was wonderful! Ask for Chelsea — super cute, super nice and very helpful!

Excellent bloody Mary’s and the food was fabulous! Kids had a great time, there are tv’s all over, there is your own beer tap in the corner. Very friendly staff, and such a warm and inviting atmosphere! We started with their homemade jalepeno poppers… so good! Melted in your mouth. Had the Walleye tacos, very yummy and decent prices for the amount of food. Definitely a spot to come back to!

Great food and service! We arrived unannounced with a party of 30ish and they were quick to get tables ready for us. The owners Dad(the original owner) was quite a character. He kept us entertained as he shared stories of his years as a boxer. He was very patient as he went over the menu items. He suggested that we try the Walleye, which I had never heard of before. The atmosphere was nice and everyone enjoyed their meal.

This place was an excellent find on our way home from a long day at Cedar Point. Delicious fish and oh my god the seafood nachos were heaven. They have a really cool pour your own tap bar, which is great if you love trying new beers! The service was fantastic too! I’d definitely be a regular if I was from the area. Make sure to stop by if you’re looking for a bite to eat in Sandusky!

Great food — awesomely friendly staff!!! Frog legs are a must! Halibut bites are breaded lightly and delicious! Kids food good too! All of us were happy — got there 15 minutes before closing and the entire staff was welcoming and extremely friendly!!! We stayed over an hour after closing and they never once rushed us — kept smiling and entertaining us!

Was on a Cedar Point weekend trip. While we stayed in Sandusky overnight, we were craving fresh caught lake fish. I found this place on Unilocal,so we decided to give it a try. Upon our arrival, the place was busy, but the owner promptly greeted us, cleaned off a table, and let us combine tables for our large party. Our waitress was courteous and prompt. The older original owner came over and introduced himself. He informed us all local lake fish is delivered daily. He explained he’s been in business for 57 years, so he must be doing something right. All of our meals were amazingly good. My walleye sandwich was excellent. My tip is the $ 18 combo platter is awesome and it will feed two people easily. Next time we return to Sandusky, a stop in here is a guarantee.

Came in for lunch on a Tuesday in March. Finding good perch during the off season is tough, so I was happy to find this place on Unilocal. Had the perch basket. 4 pieces of fish with fresh cut fries. The perch was good, the fries OK. Considering beggars can’t be choosers, I would have given 4 stars for the perch, as I’ve had better. Then I decided to try the soup. I’m thinking a little hole in the wall like this could have great soup. Thought wrong. I asked for the seafood bisque as posted, and was told it’s actually lobster bisque. All the better. I expect bisque to be smooth and creamy with chunks of lobster. Not the case. The base was chunky, the consistency of tomato purée, which it kinda tasted like. There was a ton of meat in it, but I’m not sure the sign wasn’t right and it was a seafood mixture. I was impressed at the lunch crowd, I expected to be the only one in the place and there were 8 tables occupied. Just as many people came by for take out or the drive thru. Service was friendly and the younger girl was actually running between the kitchen and her tables. Unfortunately, I had an older lady that refilled my water when she got around to it. I would like to come back in the afternoon and partake in the self serve beer taps.

A fun place with fun rotating specials and a by consumption beer wall. Great staff who go out of their way to help you enjoy your experience. Fried green tomatoes were excellent, scallops were the bay scallops(the tiny ones, but good), Calamari was large pieces. Clam chowder was decent.

We were on our way home from Put-in-Bay and still craving some Peel & Eat Shrimp and Lake Erie Perch Sandwiches. I found this place on Unilocal and we decided to give it a try. It was only a few minutes out of the way, so we were sold. The inside is much nicer than the outside. It’s got a casual sports vibe, which is exactly what we were looking for(can’t say we were feeling to great after a weekend at PIB…). Turns out Sunday is Happy Hour all day so there were a lot of specials. We weren’t drinking though, so I can’t vouch for the bartender’s skills. We ordered Fried Mushrooms($ 3 on Happy Hour), Onion Rings($ 3 — I think — on Happy Hour), a Pound of Peel & Eat Shrimp($ 12) and some Perch Sandwiches($ 7-$ 9). Oh, yeah, we were starving. The Mushrooms were good, Onion Rings not so much. Peel & Eats were alright but not as firm of a shrimp as I had on the island that I had really enjoyed. I did like that they let you get different styles… we opted for«Maryland» aka dusted with Old Bay seasoning. Our sandwiches really hit the spot. The guys ordered the original and I opted for the«Jr». Basically just a smaller bun and 2 pieces of perch instead of 3. We quickly realized we had ordered way too much food because the sandwiches came with some awesome fries that tasted great with Malt Vinegar. Their tartar sauce was extra good too. Our waitress was friendly, no complaints there. I left super stuffed and ready for nap time in the backseat on the way home. I’ll definitely stop by again if we’re passing through!
