Don’t waste your money. Food heavily salted to cover it’s poor quality. They can’t even make a decent martini.

What a disappointing meal :(. The service was obscenely slow… which would have been bearable if the meal had been stellar. Quite the opposite. The meal was mediocre at best. I won’t be back.

We received a notification from Flemings about a special available to us to celebrate a wedding anniversary. It sounded good and we made a last minute reservation as we have and numerous good meals at this restaurant. We noted on the reservation that it was an anniversary celebration. The Flemings décor fits an image of an upscale steakhouse. The wood paneling, dimmed overhead lighting, large booths on the outside of the main dining room and a large bar at one end and separated from the main dining room provide a pleasant ambiance. There is also a wine room filled with very nice varieties if wine. The restaurant was very accommodating and provided exceptional service. We were presented with two champagne flutes of champagne shortly after seating. The server asked a couple of questions and a very short time later my wife was presented with a rose and a certificate acknowledging our event with our names and the anniversary notice. The dinner was excellent. One of the chef specials for the evening as a large Porterhouse steak. We opted for that selection. Part of what made the overall service so notable was how the restaurant handled the order. I prefer a steak medium rare. My wife prefers medium. She also likes crab and I have an allergy to it. The chef cut the Porterhouse into a NY strip and Filet. Each piece was cooked exactly as we ordered, complete with the crab topping and preferred steak seasoning on the filet. The NY Strip was cooked perfectly and accompanied with a peppercorn flavoring. The flavor of the steak was one of the best I have eaten at any time. For an appetizer, I ordered a tomato bisque with a cheese accompaniment and Brussel Sprout leaves. I was not sure what to expect. Our server said it was excellent with a little spice in the soup. It was outstanding. The soup was slightly spicy and the cheese was cooked into a small piece that was placed just inside of the soup. The flavors went together beautifully. We also tried white asparagus as an accompaniment to the meal. It differs from the normal green asparagus. It was crunchy but did not have the stringy texture that often results from green asparagus. A successful experiment, again at the suggestion of our very competent server(Jessica). The wine list is extensive. To make it easier to select from a very long list, there is a computer much like an iPad to make it easier to narrow down the wine selection by region, country, type of wine, etc. We tried a glass of Washington State Milbrandt red blend and a Raymond Cabernet. Both were very good. We opted for the larger pouring of each wine and thoroughly enjoyed each one to go with the very tasty steak dinner. For dessert, our server arranged a small serving of carrot cake at our request. It was fresh and, as usual, a delectable dessert. We were also presented with a beautifully packaged box of four truffles to take back home as an additional anniversary gift. So, overall, the service was exceptional for any restaurant. The food was outstanding and cooked perfectly. The hospitality was memorable and made our anniversary dinner a very enjoyable event. Our compliments to the chef, the management and our server for a delightful evening.

Wine list was nice. Lots of new wines to try. Our hostess was very pleasant sadly that’s where it ends. The rest of the staff acted like they were doing you a favor. I saw this with all the patrons. It was clear. I don’t know maybe everybody had just had a bad meeting with the bosses but it was evident. Sadly I also have to rate the food just average, for the most part it tasted fine but nothing special. I made the mistake of ordering the prime rib, now for-going that prime rib is usually fatty but this one was so bad I only had a few bits of steak. For desert I order the cream brûlée and as bad as it sounds it was absolutely horrible. It was actually gritty. And for those would say maybe it was the sugar atop but it was the cream. It tasted gritty and freezer burned. I took 2 bites and instantly found it tasted horrible and placed it to the side of the table. The waitress came by to ask if we wanted anything else. She saw my desert was on the side of the table and that I was helping my husband eat his average cheese cake and she asked if I liked my desert. I whispered to her that in fact I did not and explained to her graciously as I could it tasted bad. She sweetly said I’m sorry you didn’t like it. And never even offered to take off our bill. Not that it mattered but it would have been the respectful thing to offer and shouldn’t even have been a consideration, since our bill was already over 300 $. As soon as we asked for our check, we couldn’t even get the staff to fill our water glasses, which they failed to fill regularly during our meal. And sorry but if you are going to charge 62 $ for a steak the plate should be prepared properly with no fingerprints and the bottom of the plate should not be covered in grease and grim that stains the table cloth. Sorry folks but if you are truly looking for fine dinning this is not the place. The finest thing about this place was the table setting which the Maitre de never cleared the unseated positions. It took about 5 minutes for be greeted by our hostess who apologize and cleared them herself. She seemed to be the only one with clue of what should be happening when it comes to fine dinning. She seemed embarrassed. She was probably a previous employee of a real fine dinning establishment. It all sounds picky, yes I will go with that, however when you pay the amount of money they ask then the attention to details should be paramount. After that, just a good old fashion steakhouse, with a décor to match. Save your money and find somewhere else. Better food on 30a and if you still want franchised food then Ruth Chris is 4 miles down the road. But I would offer to go Seagars. They have never disappointed us. It’s just 2 miles down the road. We went here because Seagars is closed on Sunday’s and my husband wanted a steak so we tried a new place. I am giving them 2 stars because they failed to be fine dinning but if I was grading in a standard steakhouse then I would rate it higher. Sorry wont be going back.

This was our first time dining at Fleming’s.(My father told us to try it for our anniversary). I made the reservation online and marked it was our first time and our anniversary. When we walked in, we were greeted with a great smile from the host who also wished us a happy anniversary. He walked us to our table, where a card and rose sat waiting for us. Our server came over, introduced herself and walked us through the menu. When she left to get our drinks, one of the managers came over with two glasses of champagne and also wished us a happy anniversary. We ordered the prime rib special, it was beautifully cooked and melted in our mouths. Before our desserts came over, another manager came by to wish us happy anniversary again dropped off a gift card for our next visit. When our server brought us the check, she also brought home made truffles has our last anniversary gift from them. I joked with my husband that they must think we are someone important to be bringing us all of these treats. I can not give enough stars for this restaurant and the staff, we can not wait to go back to celebrate again with them!

My husband and I originally had a dinner reservation for Valentine’s Day. My husband wound up having an emergency root canal. We had to postpone our Valentine’s Day celebration… We changed the reservation until 2 days after Valentine’s Day. The staff was aware of this situation and they made our 2 day late Valentine’s Day dinner just wonderful! As we were greeted and walking through the restaurant, a staff member said«how is your tooth?» The fact she even knew who we were was unbelievable and she took the time to be concerned and let us know she was glad he was feeling better and we were dining with them! Jordan Seamans was our server and did an excellent job of making our day special! He even sprinkled our table with rose petals and took our picture and framed 2 of them for us! He and the whole staff did an excellent job of turning our missed Valentine’s Day dinner into one of our favorite Valentines Day celebrations ever! We were so pleased and look forward to celebrating many other special events and just regular dinners with Flemings in the future!

We went here for New Year’s Eve. We fully expected them to be a little busier than normal so we made a reservation. The reservation through Open Table was easy and we were seated right away. Our server seemed like he had never worked as a server before. I understand that restaurants will bring people in for busy nights but please bring someone in who appears to have experience. He told us many times this was his first night and then said he was just kidding. He had a very hard time explaining specials for the night. Had a hard time explaining the very few questions we had about food and was very unfamiliar with the iPad they hand to customers with the drink menu. The food was excellent and we were very impressed with this but I cannot recommend this restaurant at all simply based on the service we received. This seems to be a recurring theme with Fleming’s in Destin.

I’ve dined at more than one Flemmings around the country with the same excellent food and impeccable service. This Flemmings was a totally different experience with very poor service and ok food. If you like this restaurant chain, I can’t recommend this particular one.

This was one of the biggest let downs in my dining history. Flemings has been spot on for us year after year, but I have to say that dinging there this year was a true let down. My wife and I both had the prime rib special on Sunday night. We were met at the hostess stand by 2 young ladies talking about how they could not wait until the tourist season was over because they were so tired of tourists… Considering we were tourists, that was not what we wanted to hear. I always thought our tourist dollars is what kept places alive and thriving. I’ll be happy to spend our $ at some other place. After being seated we ordered an app and a bottle of wine. Our server was O.K. He seemed to be a little busy and we didn’t feel like we got the attention we usually experience. I can live with that, but the FOOD… ugh…they easily cut portion size in ½ from the salad all the way to the main cut of prime rib. Quality was just down right BAD… it felt like everything we ate was from Golden Coral buffet… Just Cheap… I had to send my prime rib back because it was way over cooked… the 2nd piece came back on a scorching hot place and I actually had to watch it overcook on the plate in front of me… I will say the Manager handled the situation very well. He apologized, took care of our bill and gave us a 50 $ voucher to return, but… I will say that I don’t think we’ll even go back t use it. Our server also apologized, but did make the mistake of saying that their prime rib is not one of their better places… If thats the case… DONTPUTITONYOURMENU!!!

For starters, It took over 10 minutes to receive a $ 17 glass of champagne from the bar, another 15 minutes to receive a $ 15 martini from the bar, over 30 minutes to receive a wedge salad, and a $ 6012oz filet and lobster ordered medium that comes out well done. There is an obvious reason it was the only high end restaurant in the area that was not on a wait. The building may bear the name but is seriously lacking compared to other Flemings we have visited.

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary here while on vacation. I never write reviews(pos. nor neg.), but this time I felt I needed to. This was the best meal we had ever had at a restaurant. I had the best Filet ever. I also was thankful and impressed by the extra thought that went into making us feel as if we were the only guest in the restaurant. We have found our anniversary date place every year. The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. My hat’s off to the Chef, Reggie(our waiter) and the management. Thank you for a great time.

CREDITCARDFRAUD!!! WATch out! Wow I’ve never been treated so poorly from a restaurant service. Upon completing our meal and drinks i was presented the bill which I promptly placed credit card in the folder. I did not check the amount. Several minutes later the waiter came back and noted he gave me a bill from the other table and presented me with the new bill. I asked him if he ran the other bill and he said No. With that said I checked out with providing a 20% tip. Upon leaving I noticed through my AMEx app that they did in fact run both charges. I returned to the restaurant asked to speak with the manager. He spoke to me in a condescending manor on how credit cards work. I ignored it the first time and just asked him for some sort of verification that he voided the incorrect charge. He said he couldn’t. He then preceded to try and embarrass me by explaining in front of his patrons of how credit card systems work. AGAIN. I told him that was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard and I expect him to validate his restaurants mistake. At this point I was boiling and told him I was not leaving without verification of the voided transaction. I did ad some expletives but did not demean or threaten him. He then called the police to come in and mediate the situation. We took the matter outside and ultimately the manager provided validation of their mistake. Exactly what I asked for when I arrived 30 minutes earlier! WTH! Oh yes the manager said I am not welcome in «his» restaurant anymore! Lol don’t worry! Please join with me and go anywhere else. Seagars, Bistro Bejeaux, Ruth Chris all our options that a comparable in price/value. Much better service!

5 stars for this place! My mom and I took out friend out for her 52nd wedding anniversary(her husband passed) and the experience was awesome! The manager was super friendly and present on the floor to make sure everyone was having a great experience. Our waiter Reggie was very experienced and knowledgeable. His wine suggestions were spot on. The staff signed a card for our friend, took our photo and printed two copies for us, have her a box of chocolates and also have her a $ 25 gift card! The food is a millions times better than Ruth’s Chris, where they douse your filet in butter. Spicy Thai green beans are amazing. The Flemings Potatos– get two sides of it. I will definitely be back here next week to spend another $ 378.

Tonight my wife, my son and I had a terrific dinner at Flemings tonight. We were there celebrating our anniversary. Not only did they go out of their way to congratulate us in our anniversary but the food and service was terrific. Dan our server did a great job recommending our wines then dinners/sides. In addition they gave our 1 year old fresh sliced apples with caramel to start with to keep him occupied(which he loved!). We’re from Chicago so we are very particular about our steakhouses and this Flemings would hold its own against some of our favorites.

Worst Fleming’s I’ve ever been to. I generally dislike chain restaurants… especially when it comes to steakhouses. The service is never as good as you’d like, but this one takes the cake. And I don’t know what it is about«awkward» middle-age male waiters, but there seem to be a lot of them lately. Was there a mass layoff of high school guidance counselors I’m not aware of? The last night on vacation, we decide to treat ourselves; it’s been raining all four days at Sandestin, so why not do something enjoyable? We’re greeted/seated, but when we ask to sit in the open booth, we’re told that condensation drips into that booth from a malfunctioning A/C unit, so they seat us at the closest table to the kitchen in an otherwise empty restaurant. I can literally see into the oven. Mr. Awkward comes out to say hello and I can tell right away that something’s amiss. We ask about the steak & lobster special we’re there to order and he quotes an incorrect price. When I correct him, he fumbles around and basically admits he knows nothing about it. If you’re going to offer steak & lobster tail for $ 44.95/plate, you should be aware of it. Anyway, we order and he doesn’t come back for 10 minutes to open our wine. The soup & salad come and go without incident, and he did bring us two baskets of bread. Fast forward to the meal arriving… the filet, which we ordered medium is bleeding… rare throughout most of it. The lobster tail isn’t even cooked all the way through… how hard is it to fry a lobster tail? We were already a little on edge when the manager came by(before we tried our food) to ask how everything was going; we lied and said it was fine. It’s my policy never to complain before you’re served… I know chefs and have heard horror stories of what happens when customers complain. Suffice to say, the meal was terrible. If our waiter had asked us once, I’d have told him how I felt. We ended up leaving almost an hour after we arrived, which is unheard of at Fleming’s. I’ll never go back.

This is the epitome of service and attention to detail paired with quality food in a high end atmosphere. I found my home. Called me by name. Gave me a napkin to match my dark clothing. Provided an iPad –wine Sommelier– to pair my wine with my menu choice. Gave us 4 truffles wrapped in a gold box with a ribbon as our parting gift. To top it off my husband’s steak was cooked to(*kiss) perfection! And my lobster tails were impressive and delicious. Two words– treat yourself!

Perfection should be on tap here considering the prices. 3 people-$ 293 drink tab and $ 177 food tab. Not including the substantial tip we gave our server. We had a good experience but for nearly $ 600 total it should be mind blowing! We each had a pre dinner cocktail and shared 2 bottles of wine… hey we like to drink. The wine in a liquor store is around $ 60, here $ 120. They offer you an ipad wine list, thats fun and the options are plentiful. Our first bottle comes out and the decanters are warm so no decanting for us… bottle sits on the counter behind us. However the wine was chilled well and delicious. We had one app for our table along with bread. Fried pork belly, the guys loved it… nearly licked the plate clean. I shared a wedge salad(because I know it is huge) which they kindly split for us and another had the Heirloom salad featuring red and golden beets. Both salads were perfect and the bread was delicious. Entrees were the filet, grilled salmon and a bunch of sides. Sides were Chipotle Mac n Cheese, Onion Rings, Green Beans and Double Cut French Fries. Filet and Salmon– both perfect! Green Beans not very good and Double Cut fries they were not, seasoned well but not hot or crispy just a bowl full of ugly looking fries. The server says they used to be shoestring so I guess because they are slightly larger they decided to call them double cut. Needless to say the fries and green beans were still on the table when we left. Service went well from beginning to end. Our server was nice but we actually thought it was her first day due to the puzzled looks we received from her upon asking a few questions, we actually asked when she started-she replied October? Apparently Flemings changes things up often and the staff gets lost in it. Pet Peeve Alert #1 Please server don’t pick up the check while we are still there enjoying the last of our wine, I know you want to see how much you made but we aren’t done here…#2 don’t sit us next to the kitchen when the restaurant is only half full… Big Picture, we had an enjoyable evening among friends and would go back. The bar is just set so high when the prices are set so high.
