Went here as part of a tour. Nice wines but the woman that served us was extremely rude. They had wine/chocolate pairings included in the tasting which we enjoyed however the attitude of the server left a bad taste in our mouth and we will not be going back.

this place is a joke. The wine server was a total buzz kill. We walked in as the only customers in the place she said«yeah that music needs to stop right now». Our one friend had a tiny bluetooth speaker playing, and he immediately shut it off. Someone then turned in utter shock, bcuz this was the first time in 8 winery’s this happened, and whispered to the person next to them, and she said and I quote«why are you whispering, I didn’t whisper about you». From that that point on the group of 18 paying customers felt awkward and unwelcomed. *update: finished wine tour and each one confirmed similar complaints about the establishment. Unprofessional, and rude with customers. One winery told us we were the 5th complaint of the day.

Long Cliff Winery was the last of the nearby wineries on my list to try, but not the least. I regret not visiting sooner. Their website indicated a more limited offering of wines so it wasn’t high on my priority list. However, our server was very personable and friendly, and the wines I tried today were great. Their semi-sweet Riesling is one of the best in the region, possibly the best. It’s crisp with the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. My husband really liked it as well. The sweet Pinot Gris didn’t seem that sweet. It was interesting, but I liked the Riesling more. Hennepin Pink is part of their new Hennepin line. It’s supposed to have notes of strawberries and cream, but I feel like the flavor was more nuanced and sophisticated. My husband and I loved it, and picked up a bottle. I’m not sure if I’m ready to add Long Cliff to the five star club just yet, but I’ll be back to buy more wine and try the Platinum Rosé when it’s available.

We felt very comfortable at the winery! No snob zone. We ventured out from our hotel and picked this vineyard form a list in the area, we made the right choice. Although our stop was brief. We enjoyed a wonderful experience with Don who not only assisted us with our tasting but offered us a great story about the history of some of the wines. Even his granddaughter who only walked in for a brief moment was very nice. Thank you Long Cliff vineyard!!! If we’re ever back in the area we will definitely make this a priority stop.
