We have been at Valley going on our fourth season. My daughter has blossomed there. They encourage teamwork while they encourage the girls to push themselves to the next level. Cheerleading is a sport and just like any other sport you must practice. I have seen children go from level 1 tumbling skills to level 3 in a matter of months. It’s all about what you put into it. Valley offers a variety of classes, one on one coaching as well as open gym, all of which are avenues for improving. The tools are there as well as a very talented staff of young adults that my daughter can relate to. The staff are professionals, who have the training to be able to teach our girls the proper way to tumble safely, which is my #1 concern. I love the way the owners make a point to know every child and their parents! This truly is a family unlike any other!

My daughter started at this gym over a year ago and the coaches have changed so much that they have no idea what is going on. The owner has her daughter coaching and she is at BEST a level 2. This is a true DISAPPOINTMENT of a gym. Steer clear!!!

Although I can’t speak for their dance program, I spent a year doing gymnastics at Valley Cheer and Dance and can give a positive review of this wonderful facility. At the time I had enrolled here, I was a male teenager; my experience as a male teenager is that it’s very difficult to get support, encouragement, or acceptance in the performing arts industry. However, I felt nothing but support and encouragement for my entire duration here. The staff is friendly, the students are respectful, and the facility has the necessary resources for learning. Although the instructors are young, they do whatever they can to promote knowledge and improvement of their craft, such as doing a bit of coaching before/after class. I had a great year training at Valley Cheer and Dance. I highly recommend anyone who is new to gymnastics to begin their training here.

Well after spending non-refundable money and time — my opinion of VC have changed drastically since starting, and sending our friends there(who are also on the fence about leaving). The teaching staff(at least for Level 1) has gone downhill since we started. My daughter has been in Level 1 prep for over two years because the teachers need to pay better attention to their students, and less attention to their cell phones, and to each other… The teacher we started with(Miss Izzy) is no longer at the school(went to college). The teaching staff has changed constantly since that change; we’ve seen 5 – 10 different girls teaching this class on a weekly basis. We recently visited another school(for just one hour) and with a little assistance our daughter was able to complete moves she was not receiving guidance on at VC. She is now rated Level 2, and is making huge strides and progress. We sent an email to the staff letting them know we were unhappy and that we were not renewing membership, in addition to addressing the above issues and received no phone call, or email back. This was upsetting since we had our two daughters there for quite a while, and had a good report with the front desk staff.

Valley cheer is the BEST! The staff is friendly, encouraging, and caring!!! We moved to Pleasanton and started looking for a place offering cheer lessons. Most of the facilities we viewed were too large and overwhelming. It was very intimidating and felt as though you were just a number. When we walked into Valley Cheer, my daughter knew right away that this is the place she wanted to be. I’m also happy because of how comfortable and non competitive the environment is. Each week my daughter continues to improve and each week she leaves with a smile!

I’m really surprised Valley Cheer and Dance isn’t on Unilocal. It’s actually kind of weird. Anyway, my daughter did a trial class today for the Prep 1 tumbling and I really liked it there. I don’t know enough about it yet to give it a true, true rating, but I liked the facility. I liked how there was the stairs with the loft/platform up stairs so you could look down and watch the kids practice. They had some toys and books for the younger kids who are waiting to play with. My younger daughter was occupied building towers for the hour. The facility is large and clean and the front desk staff was really nice. So far it seems great. I’ll come back after some time and update.
