If you have the opportunity to work with Peter, go for it! Peter is an exceptional realtor — not only is he great to work with, he is highly effective. Here’s why:
We contacted Peter on ³⁄₁ to discuss selling our condo. We were hoping to use the equity to buy a bigger place and before we knew it, we fell in love with a house 2 weeks later. We now needed to sell the condo urgently to ensure we could move forward with the purchase. (more on that later) The condo was listed on ³⁄₁₉ and after only 1 open house — we got an offer the next day! Note: there is an identical unit that has been on the market for 6 months that has not received any offers. What was the difference? Peter. We believe it was Peter’s influence in the listing, the pricing, the home staging, and his presence at the open house that really sold the unit. We got top dollar and were able to close escrow in time to make our purchase.
Now, about that new house… we saw it on ³⁄₁₃ and texted Peter that we planned to go see the open house a few days later. Knowing us better than we knew ourselves, the next day Peter graciously offered to take us to tour the home before the open house — and we are so happy we did! When we saw it, my husband and I knew it was the one. We worked with Peter to prepare an offer that was competitive and would hopefully get the seller to accept. We just relocated to San Ramon, CA from GA for my husband’s employment. We decided to rent until our other home sells. After we discovered the impossible rental home market in the Tri-​Valley area prior to school starting, we knew that we would have to have help. I found Peter Kui on Unilocal and called him, along with several other realtors. He was the one that we went with for help! He was the most knowledgeable, professional and experienced person I spoke with. He knew the area: schools, communities, traffic and commutes. On a personal level, you can tell that he sincerely cares about the home and community that you will live as he addressed many factors that affected our family and choices of where to live, not just finding us a property. Peter actually went to view rental homes, represented us with leasing agents, and videotaped the properties for us. We never had to fly out once for anything! Peter is the best! My wife and I have been looking for a house for almost a year now. My husband dislikes realtors but when we met Peter at an open house, he turned to me and said, «If we ever purchase something here, I want Peter to be our realtor.» A year later, when we were ready to buy, we contacted Peter and we have to say, Peter is the best realtor we have ever had the pleasure to work with. We worked with Peter this past year when the market was very competitive in the East Bay. If it weren’t for him, I think we would have had a breakdown. He listened when we told him what we wanted and didn’t want in a home., and he was quick to send us property listings sometimes before they even came on the market. While viewing prospective properties, Peter pointed out good and bad things about the property. Some of these issues we would never have thought of ourselves. We never felt Peter was just trying to «sell-​us» on a home. He wanted us to find our dream home. In the end, we found our dream home. The downside was it came with an extremely difficult seller. It’s been a year now, and we still call Peter if we are in need of contractors, plumbers, or anyone else connected with home improvements. Peter’s job as realtor doesn’t end once the final paper is signed. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants an honest, knowledgeable, and professional realtor; one that can easily be called friend in the end.

I recently moved back to California from Texas for a new position with my company. I had a short amount of time to find a rental home in the East Bay. Peter was extremely helpful and professional, and made the process easy and stress-​free for me. On my weekend trip to look for a home, he made time to show me the house he had listed two times as I was making my final decision. Once I chose to go with his home, the process was made simple and he communicated clearly and frequently as the paperwork was finalized. He went above and beyond to ensure things were set up once I arrived in California and always responded quickly to any questions or needs that I had. This review is long overdue (5 years to be exact). I’ve worked with Peter Kui (as have other individuals in my family) in researching and purchasing a primary homes and an investment properties in the Bay Area through the years of a buyer’s market, and currently the last 7 – 8 months of a strong seller’s market. Both seemed equally tricky and stressful as far as I’m concerned.
Peter is an extremely knowledgeable, personable, patient, and honest individual. He listens and is intuitive. He quickly learned our likes and dislikes (even when we couldn’t articulate them properly) and doled out strategic advise given the overall real estate market atmosphere but was sure to adjust those strategies given the specifications of the neighborhood and individual property. He is well-​connected in his community so he’s always been able to show us homes promptly as they come on the market as well as last minute before closing bids are taken.
I bought and sold a property (my first) in the Sacramento area before moving back to the Bay Area and at the time had little to no concept of what qualified an «exceptional» realtor. Through that experience, I spoke to many realtors, gleaned a lot of information, and collected a stack of business cards. After moving to the Bay Area, I met my brother’s realtor, Peter, while helping my brother and his family land their dream home. After seeing how Peter supported them through that long and tumultuous process, I knew he was the realtor for me. But MOST importantly (as I’ve found over the years), he has been in the industry for a very long time and is well liked by his peers, and that expertise and likability will help save/​make you money.

Peter and Susan are fantastic real estate professionals who get the job done quickly and more importantly, with great customer service. My husband and I found ourselves in a predicament with a bad condo investment in the east bay, but Peter was able to aid us through the process, find a great buyer and help us purchase our new home in San Mateo. He was fully supportive through the process of selling and as we were looking for a new home in San Mateo, he was great in dealing with the other realtors and didn’t force us to put offers on anything we weren’t loving.
For our purchase, we went through a few rounds of negotiations and we ended up with a good offer.
Our experience was so positive with Peter and Susan that we recommended them to my parents for their recent sale. When you are recommending someone to your parents, there is a lot of pressure that you want things to go perfectly. Peter was so great to my parents and sold their home after just one open house.

I highly recommend Peter & Susan. I worked with Peter trying to buy a home in downtown Mountain View (highly sought after, competitive neighborhood). When we finally found the house of our dreams, Peter helped put together a deal that got us the house. Prior to finding Peter, we had put in multiple offers on different homes without much success. He knew exactly what it took for us to get the house without feeling like we overpaid.
