Burkman John L, DDS

I went to dental school with Dr Burkman many years ago and it makes me feel sad to see him slammed unfairly with a bad review; Back then, Dr Burkman was that guy with the golden hands who was so technically gifted that he developed a reputation among the other dental students. On top of that, he was such a nice person, and he was a role model for me. I doubt he would even remember me, but I remember him. You won’t go wrong with Dr Burkman.

I’ve been going to Dr. Burkman for 20 years because he understands that I am just a 3 year old when it comes to shots and that I might even wimper during the drilling. He has always been kind and professional. Not the cheapest, but then do you really want to go to an office that needs to over schedule just to make ends meet.

I’ve been visiting Dr Burkman for the last 2 years. His staff is very friendly and treats me like they have known me forever. I greatly appreciate his bedside manner and that of the office. His services are very fair and he does not push treatment that I have seen other dentists push just to make a buck. I would recommend his service to anyone who asked!

On April 30, 2012 Dr. Burkman drilled in my mouth for 2 hours trying to remove a broken post which supported a cap. Evenually the sonic pick breaks.
On May 9, 2012, another dentist removes that same post in 7 minutes!
On July 3, Dr. Burkman bonds a front tooth in the mouth. The bond falls into my mouth in the parking lot.
On July 24, 2012, I receive a Occlusal guard from Dr. Burkman to wear during the night. His initial quote was $ 500, but I was charged $ 635. On July 31, 2012, I return to his office in pain from wearing the guard. The guard had been made by Dr. Burkman in his office and not by a professional lab.
He tries to adjust the guard 4 times, but after a period of time, I leave the office without the guard in severe pain. On August 1, 2012, another dentist placed antibiotics in the inflamed gum, and the dentist was very concerned about the tooth that remained in pain.
On September 13, 2012, I received a bill from Dr. Burkman’s office for the guard at the cost of $ 635. A guard that I do not even have in my possession!

Having used this dentist for several years now, and my wife even longer, they are very friendly, provide great dental care and truly make you feel like family. I highly recommend this practice for the entire family!
