If you have time on your hands, this might be the place for you. Believe me, you are going to have to wait. And wait. The excuse is that the doctor regularly sees unplanned«emergencies» that interrupt his schedule. I wonder if it might be closer to the truth that he ‘over-books’. A lot of doctors do this for purely economic reasons. It’s a sad way to treat sick people who depend on the skills of specialists. Having said that, I have no doubt in the skills and expertise of Dr. Brinton. But the combination of long waits(as long as two hours) and the lack of heating in the offices AND the brusqueness of some of the assistants, make this a chilly experience, overall.

Had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Brinton regarding a patient I was concerned with and wanted to be evaluated. We spoke after hours and he was quick at responding and set up a patient for schedule at the pleasanton office with his colleague the following day. He was helpful at getting me follow up information when I called a few days later to see how my patient was doing. The trivalley benefits from East Bay Retinal Consultants. Thanks from Dr from Livermore.

I have been a patient with Dr. Brinton for over 20 years. I have Stickler’s Syndrome and if Dr. Brinton hadn’t come into my life, I would be blind right now. He is an amazing surgeon and humble human being. Because he has so many, many patients, you will wait awhile once you check in at the Reception Desk. I always come prepared with a movie on my iPad and some snacks. He takes time the time needed with each of his patients. I certainly appreciate the time he spends with me.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Brinton for several years now and totally appreciate his knowledge and commitment, to me, as a patient. With early onset of wet AMD I obviously was worried about my future but he was confident in the treatment he prescribed. Yes, there are sometimes longer waits in his office but lets look at it from the other side — a top-notch professional providing the highest quality medical care to as many people as possible. Some of the staff, eh, maybe not as warm could be but I’m not there for that aspect. If I ran into someone who was facing my issue I’d highly recommend Dr. Brinton without hesitation.

I’ve seen Dr. Brinton for a few years. I respect his knowledge, but found him to be a bit insensitive to my problems. Dr’s seem to forget that we are typically not the cause of our medical problems. Long long waits. I would recommend him if you had lots of time to wait and you don’t mind his lack of ‘bed side manners’.

He can come off as all business, but as you spend time with him you start to see the human aspect of what he does. Dr Brinton marvel at the eye — how it works, what it does — as opposed to Dr’s that think they control things. I have been seeing him for two years now for a series of retinal issues with one of my eyes. His diagnostics are right on, his treatment is first class. The reason for 4 starts instead of 5 is the occasional long waits in the office and a couple members of his staff could have a little better«bed-side manner».
