Spitfire was pretty fun with my friends, but it was kind of brought down by this one incompetent bartender that lectured us that if we tipped well, she would in return provide us with good service… Last time I checked, tips were in response to good service, not the other way around??? I’m not one to complain but that same bartender wasn’t so accurate/​prompt in making our drinks… for $ 8 per drink, I would expect otherwise. Also they have a $ 10 minimum for cards which was kind of inconvenient but no big deal, but the Tuesday karaōke night was very entertaining. Bottom line: please hire more bartenders, a worthy establishment requires more than a single bartender to adequately serve a semi-​crowded bar for an entire night.

Fuck this place, out here actin brand. Kicking girls out for dancing ratchet, as if the nickel rose isn’t the most ratchet place in marin. No one thinks differently about the nickel just because you painted a mural and changed your name. Embrace your ratchetness, it’s literally all you have. The spitfire lounge is not classy, never been classy — stop trying to make it a thing.

Since it’s remodel it’s had a rough time getting back to its hey-​day. Redesigned on the inside, but the place just can’t seem to get the party started. Mainly a Latino gathering place. It is still a full bar and the staff is friendly. They make good drinks. There is a heavy «Old Bar» smell here. Probably from the heavy curtains. They offer music and Karaōke on special nights. It need to find its soul/​groove again. It’s a nice place, but I don’t know why it’s not a draw. No Kitchen. I know bars with a kitchen do better business.

Can’t believe they can’t afford to carry wine. I went there twice last year and they did not have wine actually said they were out. Went there last night and this time said no chardonay again with a hint they don’t ever intend to carry chardonay. Don’t understand how they compete against Flat Iron, Trevors and West End.

Five stars are just for the bartenders! Jen and Azucena are friendly, respectful, hospitable, and can make some kick ass drinks! Go when they are there!

We went here on a Friday night and had a great time! The 2nd DJ who came played some awesome music (hip-​hop/​rap). Drinks were strong and prices were decent. Definitely enjoyed ourselves here and the only downfall is that you have to walk through the small dance floor to get to the bathroom which was annoying. Other than that place was really fun! Check it out :)

There was a horrible stench when you walk in that is so bad you want to run out. I was a trooper and regretfully had an IPA that did not mask the odor. Spitfire, there is some serious bacteria evolving that needs to be cleaned.

This is a small place but has a decent layout. The walls have murals on them which give patrons a pretty view. The bartenders were quick to get to everyone waiting for drinks which is always a huge plus. The first hour or two that we were here, the DJ was playing all spanish songs… which kind of sucked for our party of girls who didn’t know any of the music. The music selection greatly improved as the night wore on. The dancefloor became packed at about 1am and the crowd was much more lively. There is seating all along the wall but get here early if you want to score a table for the night! Overall, we had a good experience here. I would definitely come back to the Spitfire Lounge in the future!

You know what rhymes with the spitfire… Coke! Came in on a Friday and witnessed coke in the bathroom, coke being sold by staff, and coke being done right in the dance area. Two months and this place will be a coke cemetery.
