He is so rude. He is talking so much without thinking and makes customer upset. He made me really upset.

First time that I went there, he was so nice. But this time he was so rude and offensive. I asked him about different hair styles and he told me he is not a teacher to talk about styles. On top all that I called him at 430 pm and he said come over and then he started nagging and offensively asked me why I do not come on Saturday. I wish I could give him zero star.

Shear Joy is a local independent barber and hair stylist. It is always a lively fun loving atmosphere that makes the experience invigorating. Cliff is easily going, always has stories and life experiences to share.

I moved into town a couple months ago and have been on a search for a barber who can do good fade. After a few failed attempts I finally found my barber. Did A great job at a reasonable price. Cliff is a great guy and will even sing for you if you ask him nicely! I would recommend him to anyone. Fully earned the 5 stars!

Shear Joy — run by the amazingly amiable Cliff — is an excellent place to get a haircut. He’ll tell you enough puns to keep you grinning through the entire cut. The shop is tidy and decorated with all sorts of odds and ends. It’s really a comfortable place to relax if you have to wait for a customer or two.
The prices are fair: $ 17 for a haircut and $ 10 for a beard trim. And just FYI he only takes walk-​ins.
The hair cut I got was exactly what I was looking for — although he assured me he could do any style and would get it right the next from the beginning. But he definitely got it right the first time. I will definitely get a cut there again.

Great local shop. Cliff was accommodating to a first-​timer and kept me happy from the conversation all the way to the cut I received. I will go there every time from now on. Cliff seems like a nice guy, which is a big deal if you’ve mostly run into barbers who are complete jerks. Give him a try.

Shear Joy is the place to come to for haircuts! Cliff is ultra friendly, will be happy to share his worldly knowledge and opinions if asked. In the meantime, he will give you a lights out (that’s a good thing) haircut that is second to none. Try him once and you are likely to agree. He is a well kept secret as I’ve tried several others since moving to Sonoma County but have since given up on the search. He is the best there is at his craft and to go elsewhere is a significant downgrade.

Shear Joy is the «cutting-​edge» when it comes to SmallTown USA barber shops. The ambiance in his shop is cool: retired viking turned painter who surfs on the weekends. He keeps me smiling with his jokes, sane with his gospel, and styling with a great haircut. His beard trims are well worth the trip alone. Go to Shear Joy if you care about who cuts your hair.

Cliff is a pistol. Never a dull moment. He’ll talk to you about all kinds of things. No awkward silences here. And he’s an awesome barber, too.
Last time I went in, I told him what I wanted and he said «I’m not sure you want it the way you described.» I said «OK, just keep it short.» And he gave me the best haircut I’ve had in… well, I can’t remember when I had it better.
Go there. Great price — $ 17 — and, most importantly, a great haircut.
