This place is amazing. My first trip here I was looking for a Lei. The gentleman gave the best customer service I’ve ever had. He was patient, kind and prompt. So over all first impression was beyond spectacular. I went in to get my lei for my big graduation day and the experience was delightful. I will continue going here for all my florist needs. Keep up the great work. I would deffinatly recommend this florist.

I’ve driven past this place for most of my life, but never actually walked in and still haven’t!
I was looking to send some flowers to my mom for Mother’s Day and decided to finally try them out after disastrous results from FTC and ProFlowers.
I selected a large lily bouquet online and crossed my fingers. With the above mentioned, i’ve gotten items that were not what the picture showed and very sparse. you would think with all the money paid you get something better.
I got a phone call from the folks letting me know that the instructions I left were cut off so they just wanted to confirm.
As always, I was nervous, but my mom ended up sending me a picture and they were much like the flowers I selected. I was ecstatic that they did justice!
I finally saw them in person two days later, and man was it huge and full!
I happen to send my older sister some pick me up flowers as well, and again they were beautiful and full.
I feel a huge sense of relief that there is a local florist that can do some beautiful arrangements without compromise.

Best over the phone floral experience ever!
I called Rafael florist to order some flowers for an older gentleman who is in the hospital. The woman who picked up the phone, Stacy, was extremely friendly, helpful, courteous and went above and beyond for me. She explained my different options, potted plant versus Cut flowers, etc. I decided to go with cut flowers. We discussed the colors I was going for and she put together a gorgeous arrangement using freshly cut seasonal flowers! She even sent me a picture of it And it was delivered the same day!!! I couldn’t have been happier and needless to say the recipient was over joyed! Rafael florist is my new «go to» flower shop!

I ordered flowers for my husband for his birthday from here. I usually order on line but wanted to verify that they could deliver on the same day so I called this time. I spoke to a really nice woman who talked me into the deluxe version but when my husband sent me a picture of the arrangement, it didn’t look like the picture. In fact, it didn’t look very nice and the flowers were just thrown in there in no particular way. I felt really embarrassed and I’m sure my husband’s co workers probably thought I went to a cheap place. I don’t think I will be using this florist again.

I called Rafael Florist on November 21^st to order flowers for some very important clients. I spoke to a young lady who was extremely helpful. She was patient and kind and helped me navigate to their website to look at several arrangements. She even had some great suggestions. I ordered an arrangement that I knew would be perfect for my clients. The next morning I called them back to possibly change the wording on the greeting card that accompanies the flowers. I asked Sam if he could read it back to me. He was curt and told me that the young lady who assisted me the night before had spent too much time with me and that he knew I was trouble. I was upset and shocked and almost canceled the order but I didn’t. Later that day, they took the time to send me a photo of the finished product and I must say the arrangement was absolutely gorgeous and fulfilled all my expectations. Maybe Sam was having a bad morning when he was rude to me, because later that day he did send me very nice email… but the bottom line was this… the end result, the flowers, were absolutely beautiful and delivered within the time frame promised to me.

Good prices but disappointing service. I ordered a corsage online a week before I needed it and arrived to pick it up only to learn that (1) the store wasn’t open at 9AM as advertised (2) the corsage wasn’t ready because «they didn’t have a pick-​up date listed» — although I had given them a pick-​up date on the order. So what should have been a quick pick-​up turned into 30 minutes of waiting — and they weren’t very apologetic about it.

Tomorrow is my wedding, I came in to request for a small bouquet and a fresh flower hairpiece from them. The procrastinator that I am, i thought they would deny my order, but the exact opposite happened.
They were very accommodating.
Lily showed me all varieties they have and gave me qoutes.
On the otherhand, Sam, the arranger, was so glad to help me out and even threw in suggestions. My bouquet was only supposed to have 6 coral roses on them, but he gave me 7.
I ordered them at 1pm they were done way earlier than that. What was even better was that since they close at 6pm and i can’t get it right away because I was getting a mani-​pedi across the street, they held it for me until I was available. i can’t thank them enough!

This place is for 2 type of people, the one that loves his/​her significant other and the one that doesn’t.
If you are one of the first ones, please avoid this place at all costs, seriously you will never get what you paid for, never ever! and you will be disappointed, you will better off buying your significant other a full tank of gas!
Now if you don’t care about what your girl gets, you will be also better off ripping flowers from your grandma garden, even a drive to a carwash would be more thoughtful than buying flowers from this guy.
Now so you don’t think review is vague and I will tell my story:
Last valentine i was looking for a nice, big colorful flower arrangement, and since my office is right across from this place i walk in, look at their catalog (by the way a perfect analogy for what you see in their catalog and what you get is like ordering from the McDonalds menu) so they charge me a lot and they told me they will call me in like 30min-​1hr to come pick it up. 2 hrs later no call so i go down there and the guy just start working on it, by the time he’s done, faster than a McDouble, i thought that was like just half of it, so i ask to look at the picture from their catalog again, and yeah it look like my arrangement went into a diet or something, the owner got mad and throw some more stuff on it, change the vase to a bigger one like the pic, still look like an anorexic version of the catalog, and i told him, he got pissed like it was my fault and told me «don’t get it then!» and stop working, and i told him are you kidding me? its Feb 14^th 6pm where am i going to get another, so i HAD to take it, they charge me even more than what they said, they didnt gave me the balloon it was included and all f that with an attitude, I swear if you live in central marin, just go to the Mollie Stone’s that lady that work the flowers is super sweet, ¹⁄₃^rd of the price and their flowers are way better, shw will make sure you are really happy as well as your significant other.

I have bought flowers from Rafael Florist for many years, Always been very happy with all the arrangements, and their customer service was great. Not this time, clerks were not the least bit helpful as I attempted to send a $ 100 arrangement to my employer for Christmas. They told me to do it online and walked away. Never going back.

Rafael Florist did the flowers for our wedding and reception and they were outstanding. I’ve attached a photo of one arrangement at the church. We received countless comments and compliments. We’ve never seen such beautful roses, in both the arrangements and bouquets. Dominic is incredible and made our day perfect.

Ordered a small arrangement online for my wife and on her birthday, she was thrilled by the flowers. They looked even better than what was shown online. I had a great experience with Rafael Florist and will continue to order flowers from there! I would recommend it to everyone!!!

This place is the best there is in San Rafael. The flower arrangements they come up with are 5 star and the quality is great.
Dominic is the best floral arranger there is. Make sure to ask for him.

if it would allow me to not give one star i would do that — worst service from a florist I have ever had. they made the wrong corsage for my son’s prom, and rather than simply remake and rectify the problem, they argued that it wasn’t their fault, even when the gal who took my order said it was it was not made to to what I had ordered — horrendous attitude from employees as well as owner. asked for my money back and wend down the street to Burn’s Florist who made one in an hour — the same day of the prom — wonderful service and attitude. WILL NEVER GO TO RAFAEL AGAIN!

The original Rafael Florist, accept no substitutes. I’ve been using these guys since the early seventies, beautiful fresh flowers, great artistic arrangements, and on time. I just gave them a call at closing time for a flower basket delivery to a funeral in the City tomorrow morning, they were happy to arrange the delivery at this late date and I know that a sweet smelling and one-​of-​a-​kind arrangement will be there.

The Most beautiful flowers ever! they have the most nice group that will help you with every need!!! every time that I buy any flowers in this shop the flowers last longer, and believe me they are helpful, the first time that i went there i was confuse, was the first time that i was going to give flowers to my actually fiancée, and they gave the right choice… 5 stars for sure!!!

I decided to give them a call and see if they were able to provide me with assistance. Loved arrangement B22 Birthday Cake. Called at 9 the morning of delivery and the arrangement was delivered by 4! Real thing looked just like the picture, great job!

My friend and I went in there today after being wowed by some great looking purple gauzy fabric in their window. The people running the store couldn’t have been nicer. They sold us some of this great fabric by the yard, and when my friend paid them with one of our re-​faced glitzed up dollar bills they all loved it. This was the unofficial launch of our dollar project.

If you are looking for creativity, commitment and professionalism you can count on San Rafael Florist. I had no idea how wonderful Sam and Angela were. We hired them for our wedding. We were so worried about the decoration because we did not have a wedding planner, but Angela and Sam did an amazing job leaving the entire reception and ceremony area perfectly beautiful. All of my friends gave complements to the decoration. Sam and Angela are the cutest couple working together. There was never a moment that I saw them stressed. They made me feel easy since the beginning when I wasn’t sure what kind the flower/​ornaments I wanted until the day of the wedding when they arrived 4 hrs earlier to help me out. Amazing! I highly recommend San Rafael Florist for any event.
