Planet Juice

Just found this place while shopping next door at trader joes. I lived in the city for the past 5 years and I wish we had a place like this there. Planet juice is awesome and the guys who work there were really cool to my kids. Love the smoothies and they have $ 1. Cones. Where in California you get any thing for a dollar any more? This place is awesome. I have been back like 6 times in the past two weeks. I hope they stay here!

The taste of these smoothies are really good! I love how worth the price is per the size for each drink. Planet Juice is so convenient in the area. Come here year around. I recommend getting s boost with each drink. Each drink comes with a free boost: immunity, multivitamin, protein, energy, & fat burner. I always order the Kona Sunset, Bananarama, Mowee Wowee, and the coffee smoothie. The coffee smoothie is like a healthy frap from Starbucks but it’s espresso and frozen yogurt. I will continue to come here to get my smoothie fix!

I love this place! I’ve been going here since I was in high school and the shooting starberry never fails me. I do have to admit that prices have gone up but I think the smoothies are worth it. I’ve also tried their breakfast bagels and they’re delicious as well. Keep making those yummy smoothies!

The Mother Load waffle is one of the few desserts I’ve had that tastes better than the picture. My wife and kids love this place.
Th only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is that they cannot/​will not tell us what’s in the frozen yogurt. Either the staff there does not know or will not tell. And that’s kind of creepy.

The building itself is extremely small, there are two or three tables inside and one outside and they are usually taken. It feels cramped.
My main problem was ordering a peach banana smoothie without yogurt (I’m dairy free). They added a lot of extra ice and it pretty much tasted like blended bananas and water. Except not real bananas. More like the laffy taffy kind of banana artificial flavor. I forgot to watch as they made it to make sure it was not a syrup so I don’t know for sure. Definitely not ordering a smoothie again.
There is a huge catalogue of drink options but they don’t have menus you can take home and study (lol).
Their fresh juices are very good though. If you’re into vegetables being juiced then this is a good place.

Although go here often and get one of the best smoothies, I came here after a day of work and wasn’t in the great mood, but this cashier was absolutely rude and rolled her eyes after I maid a payment mistake. Just ruined their whole reputation to me. This also made me regret tipping her.

No complaints. .always great service. Just hate the shopping plaza ppl dunno how to park, drive or have courtesy or maybe it’s me? Hahaha i like this spot…

There are very few places in San Rafael I will go out of my way for. Planet Juice is one of them. Truth be told, I’ve only ever ordered their specialty smoothie, the peanut butter cup, but it’s heaven in a cup with a straw. Everything on their menu looks delicious and I will happily go back and try their food and juices. The staff is always courteous and friendly, attentive and fast with my order. The shop is clean and bright and there’s plenty of parking (although the closest lot fills up with TJ and Chipotle customers so I usually park at the farther lot near the UPS store).
If you love Reese’s peanut butter cups try their peanut butter cup smoothie — you won’t be disappointed!

Coustomer servise is 5stars for sure!
I ordered my drinks and accidentally spilled one, and the team quickly cleaned and made me another one on the house. (Who does that now a days, well this amazing team does!)
Paid about $ 17 for 2veggie juices, and 2smoothies .
The only downfall was the juices are not organic Hense 4stars. (pesonally trying to get away from gmos!)

There are those who resist Starbucks due to the fact that there are like billions of them (well, not quite that many, but you get the drift). In many cases I fully understand the sentiment — just a couple of miles away in Larkspur, a perfectly fine J.R. Muggs was kicked out so that Starbucks could expand their reach (and pay more $).
As hard as it is to believe, there are still some locations that do not have Starbucks represented, one of them being Montecito Plaza on the east side of San Rafael. There’s a Trader Joes, a Rite-​Aid, the usual complement of taquerias and burger joints, and a nice walk along San Rafael Creek. But, if you want coffee, you really only have two choices — a bagel shop and the ironically titled Seattle’s Best.
Mind you, the coffee itself isn’t that bad, and not too expensive either. But everything else about this location just kind of sucks:
1. There never seem to be any customers
2. The waitstaff seems to consist of one discombobulated woman who always seems to be surprised to have somebody come in and actually want to order something.
3. The muffin/​croissant offerings are not fresh, and indeed manage to be worse than what one would find at an interstate gas station.
Bottom line: Starbucks, if you’re listening, consider Montecito Plaza. You’re welcome.

One star for friendly service, one star for cleanliness. However, I thought I was getting a fruit smoothie. WRONG! I got extracts and chemically flavored syrups. Stay away if you want real fruit! There were no peaches nor bananas in my «Peach Paradise: peach juice, peaches, banana, frozen yogurt» smoothie. If I wanted chemicals and extracts I would pay $ 1 at 7/​11, not $ 5 at a smoothie bar.

I am addicted to Planet Juice’s frozen yogurt. A kid’s cone of soft-​serve frozen yogurt (chocolate and vanilla swirl) is only $ 1. And you don’t have to be a kid to order it. It’s the perfect size. I keep thinking about that Seinfeld where Elaine and Jerry become addicted to «non-​fat frozen yogurt» which turns out not to be non-​fat because Planet Juice’s frozen yogurt is so good – it tastes just like soft-​serve ice cream – that it’s probably not that healthy. Not like the tart all natural kind at least. But for $ 1, I’m not going to question it.
Planet Juice also has a great smoothie menu, including kale smoothies. It’s clear that the smoothies are the real deal made with natural, fresh ingredients, rather than a frozen sugar mix. The prices are decent, too. But, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to walk in without getting my soft-​serve swirl.
Convenient location next to Trader Joe’s and friendly service.

I’ve come here half a dozen times and have had such good experiences each time that it compelled me to write this review. Elisa, the owner, is continually making improvements to the business whether through decorations but more the quality of food. From just plain smoothies, to their special waffles with specula spread, to an espresso machine, and now shots of fresh ginger to help keep on keeping on throughout the day.
I can’t be more satisfied with their friendly peppy atmosphere!

Awesome addition to Montecito Plaza. This place does juices and smoothies. On my first visit, I came in with some coworkers and the guy behind the counter was really nice. He gave us a smoothie sample as soon as we came in and then he was patient with us as we took our time with the menu. I got a pineapple, strawberry and banana smoothie that was amazing. I hope to be able to try some of their juices on my next visit.

I liked this place, a nice way to start the weekend. Got the power beet juice and a wheat-​grass shot. Everything was fresh and the atmosphere is welcoming. The smoothies are good as well.
Plus, free wifi.

Although I do love my Jamba Juice, Planet Juice is seriously one of my favorite spots to go for a late breakfast or afternoon snack! My boyfriends favorite smoothie is the Aloha Strawberry, and I just say, it is quite heavenly. And my favorite is the Coffee Craze! A couple shots of espresso blended with non fat fro yo. UH– MAZING. Not to mention, their bagels are delicious and fresh. We personally love their Asiago bagel with cream cheese. Their employees are great. Always super friendly and always remember my order! AND this place is in walking distance from our house. Planet Juice and I are a match made in heaven. Two thumbs up!

Craving for something to quench that thirst and no I do not mean with gatorade. Planet juice has a pretty good variety of things that can do just that. Smoothies, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. and if you have the munches or just want a quick snack on the go. they also sell a lot of snacks like chips, Cliff bars, nuts, Bagels, etc. did I mention they have a hot dog stand? You can get a cheesedog or a bacon wrapped dog. breakfast or lunch on the go for working/​school folks. just speaking of it makes my mouth start to water!
My bf ordered the «crazy coffee smoothie» and I got their #1 seller the «kona sunset smoothie». small size was the perfect portion size for me. you however can order medium or large as well. They filled the cup to the max. [i had to mention this because sometimes when i order a smoothie my cup is not filled up and i see them dump the rest. it’s such a waste. i just wanna kill whats in my cup and whats in the blender!] it wasn’t too sweet. And it definitely quenched my thirst. the really neat thing is you can even place your order by phone because they do curbside pick-​up. you don’t even have to leave the car if you’re truly on the go.
anywho, back to my experience. I ordered their mother load which is a waffle with one scoop of vanilla ice cream, blueberry and strawberries with Biscoff spread [you could also choose nutella instead]. I had to skip out on whip cream and chocolate syrup because i didn’t wanna overload my body with calories. :P The texture had just the right amount of crunch. Not super sweet. The portion was just right as well. It wasn’t super big or too small. I was greedy so I ate the whole darn thing on my own. It was just so yummy I couldn’t help myself. I didnt have that guilty feeling afterwards like i usually would after having a dessert. The mother load and a small smoothie did however made me feel full. It was definitely a tasty treat and left me super satisfied.
I wished I lived closer to planet juice, I totally would be coming here all of the time. Although they had An average review/​rating on Unilocal,I had to investigate further on why. The owner told me that they recently took ownership about two years ago and they made tremendous changes to the business. So if you’re reading some of the old reviews disregard them because there’s new management in town and they are out to win you over! because i’m totally won over!
Great customer service. they also have a rewards program so make use of it, if you have a special spot for smoothies and waffles.
There’s plenty of parking because they share the parking lot with trader Joe and other stores. they take cash and credit card with a minimum purchase of $ 3.95.
Definitely five stars in this Unilocalers eyes!
p. s. don’t forget to leave them a nice tip. the tip jar is located by the register.

In one of the few hot days this summer in Marin I fortunately stumbled into Planet Juice. This shop is located in the Montecito Plaza on 3^rd St and this area is not parking friendly at all, but Planet Juice is worth it.
I’ve had the Mango Madness and the Banana Coconut Smoothie during the few times I’ve been here and they’re really, really good. But the main attraction is the Jetsons. SO SO GOOD! The people are very nice and the service is very quick.

Planet Juice is awesome on a hot day. I can recommend the Jetsons smoothie. It’s a bit sweeter and richer than I’d expect from a smoothie, but definitely hits the spot.
The people behind the counter are pretty quick too, I think it took less than a minute for them to make me my Jetsons.
