I wish I would have read Unilocal reviews before I ever entered this store. I liked a patio set a friend had and even though the service was mediocre, I ordered it because I just didn’t want to shop around. Big mistake. It was very expensive and I would have expected first class salesmanship and service. What I got was little help and now a ridiculous delay in delivery. They promised 4 – 6 weeks. I had to call multiple times with no return call and finally they delivered(at a huge fee) part of the set but not all. It is totally useless and summer is almost over. It has been over 12 weeks and no one is returning my call. I would cancel the order if I could. Horrible service and experience. Avoid Patioworld at all cost!

Wow this place is the worst. Can you imagine selling you 8k worth of Teak furniture but«sorry we don’t know anyone who can help service and seal it but you can buy new!» What a racket and a mistake! Never again.

Wish I had read these reviews before we wasted an hour drive in from Napa on this place. We found a patio set that we liked for about $ 2,500. The sales associate told us she could discount it 5% but if we spent $ 3,000 we could get 10% off. After looking at a few pieces to add, we decided not to add more pieces just to get the additional discount. The table we picked out was a few inches short for the arm chairs but we were assured(I specifically asked THREE times) that the table with longer legs was in stock and could be delivered in about a week. A few days went by and nobody called to schedule delivery, so I called. Come to find out the table wasn’t in stock and wouldn’t be available till«maybe» mid-August. Rather than wait, we inquired about other chairs and decided on some that worked, but of course, were more expensive. The new total came to just over $ 3,000 so I asked about getting the 10% off. All of the sudden, the new threshold was $ 3,500. I asked if there was any way they would be willing to work with us because a) this was THEIR mistake, and b) considering a week had gone by(and we were supposed to have had the furniture by then) the least they could do was make it right. After she consulted with the owner, the answer was«10% off a couple of chairs, but not the whole set». All this time, they’ve been sitting on my money. When I called to cancel, I told them about the Unilocal reviews and they’re aware. They just seem not to care. So, not only did they lose this sale, they lost our business on buying a matching set of lounge furniture. I’ve shopped many higher-end stores and typically prefer them because of the personal customer service and willingness to work with customers and do what it takes to make it right. In the end, they lost our business over a couple hundred bucks. So, if you’re looking for a high-end shopping experience to match the prices you’re going to spend, go elsewhere.

Unbelievably horrible customer service! Do not deal with these people, they are clueless. I purchased a patio umbrella and stand. Within one week, The crank on the umbrella broke. I understand things happen. However, when I called patio world to explain what happen I got the distinct impression I was inconveniencing them. First, they started to give me some story about the warrantee and getting it fixed under the warranty program. Seriously? I pointed out to them that the umbrella was one week old and that I was more interested in getting it replaced as opposed to fixed or filing a claim against the manufacturer. Ugh. Next, They repeatedly requested I bring the umbrella back to the store despite having told them that the umbrella is stuck in the open position! I asked them, rhetorically, how they expected me to drive to their store with a 9 foot umbrella up fully deployed. This conversation point came up at least five times in my discussions with them. They don’t get it. Next, after a couple of days, they called and suggested that I come down and pick up a new umbrella frame and that I put the canvas material on the new frame. Seriously? This assumes, of course, I bring theOpen umbrella frame back to the store. These people don’t get it. Really. I regret doing business with these people. The matter is still unresolved. I decided to call American Express and chargeback the amount and let them deal with the credit card company.

Spent $ 8,000 on furniture. One of the les jardins chairs fell apart within 1 week. Took it back expecting an immediate replacement and got blown off. Their policy is to have nothing to do with warranties Call the supplier was their response… wish I had read the reviews before spending my money. awful store

Came in today to check out their Teak dining tables as a comparison to those at Terra Patio in Mill Valley. The gal who helped us knew very little about their teak products. She didn’t know where the table was made, only saying it’s «high quality» over and over again. They had a very limited selection of dining chairs and referred me to their website. Then she left us and went back to hang out behind the counter. Terrible customer service and obviously not too interested in making any sales.

Kevin is back! A++++ experience! 10 years ago Kevin sold us our Patio World outdoor furniture set. It has held up beautifully but the cushions and umbrella finally needed to be replaced. We had gone into the store over the years but Kevin was no longer there and the salespeople barely gave us the time of day. I returned to the store last week and there was Kevin… the store manager! The mood of the store has improved dramatically AND I received excellent service from both Kevin and Victoria. Thank you Patio World for bringing Kevin back. For those of you who had a bad experience in the past… reconsider.

I also had a horrendous experience with Patioworld. About a year ago my wife and I bought a large amount of furniture here for both our back patio, as well as a side patio. The only positives about the experience were 1) the quality appears to be good(which it should be for what they charge you), and 2) those items that were in stock were delivered in a timely manner. The disaster here was when we ordered a love seat and two chairs that they did not have in stock. We were there in May of 2013 and wanted to purchase these items for the upcoming summer. We were told it would take about 1 month for everything to come in once we purchased it… no sweat. In the end it was well over 3 months before we got all of our pieces if I am remembering correctly. When the summer was over. The worst part was, almost all of the salespeople that I spoke with could really care less. Once they had made the sale and charged my credit card, they showed very little interest in helping us locate our furniture. And the time between purchase and delivery was filled with me constantly calling and trying to figure out what was going on, and how to fix it. The delays in us receiving our furniture were attributed to every excuse in the book. And at one point they ended up just saying«we have no idea when they can deliver, we’ll call you if we figure it out». Expectation management is crucial to any sales job. When we ordered this stuff we were lead to believe that it would be pretty easy process. No one said anything about certain pieces apparently being made in China, potential transportation issues, or just general lack of caring or response. Its hard to envision a scenario in which I would ever shop here again. If you do go there, ask tough questions about delivery time frame if they have to order anything. And push to delay payment until you receive your items. I should have done this as I’m sure they would’ve worked harder if they had not already charged my credit card. Lesson learned.

Back in May, I ordered a replacement sling for my Gloster lounge chair. Since I did not remember the model name, I provided pictures to make sure the proper sling was ordered, and Patioworld being a Gloster dealer I thought this would be easy. The incompetent employee there made a mistake and ordered the wrong sling. Now, three months later, with the summer nearly gone, I still have no replacement sling. Worse, this dishonest and incompetent store charged my credit card back in May! Although I got nothing from them, and it was their mistake, they’ve been sitting on my money, and I have to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Keep away from this dishonest and incompetent store with poor costumer service. I’m definitely reporting them to BBB.
