What a waste of time. Snow sled has long line. There were a few run down jumpers that charge high price. Vendors sell mostly junks that will eventually end up in yard sale. Not fun at all.

We went to the San Rafael 29th Annual Parade of Lights & Winter Wonderland on Friday Nov 28, 2008. It was on Fourth St — A Street to Lootens, San Rafael. The parade is really small & short. It was about 10 minutes long. The parade started down Fourth St at 5:30 and was finished by 5:40pm, ending at Courthouse Square. Some local boy scout group lead it off, then local people it seemed held candles while walking along the parade, a trolley went by, a train, and Santa and Mrs. Claus. A few in the parade threw candy for the kids to pick up, that was funny. There were some booths set up selling items like hats, and some food booths like Kettle Corn(they are everywhere), and Pica Pica(they have a shop in Napa’s Oxbow Public Market). The coolest thing for kids is the FREE Snow Sledding. I saw a few big kids, but mostly for the little ones. They had plastic round sled and longer rectangle ones. I wanted to do that, but didn’t. FREE Holiday parking on Fri. Nov 28 in all lots & streets. You don’t need to pay the .75c an hr that day on the metered spots(regular hrs for metered spots 8 – 6 M-F), friend parked in the Public Lot for free. Not sure about Sat 11⁄29. The FREE snow sledding is available tomorrow, Sat 11÷29÷08 from 9−2pm, or until the snow is no longer safe.
