Oak View Nursery School

Oakview is truly a great school. After meeting with other Montessori/​Day cares in the neighborhood I decided to enroll my daughter here. Since enrolling, I have watched as each and every staff member/​teacher invest time into her growth. Over the last few months I have seen a different side of my daughter. She’s is learning to use her words instead of her hands. She’s demonstrating traits that I honestly wouldn’t think could describe a two year old. On top of that, the staff is very supportive. They all come together to make each day roll smoothly. My daughter is happy and loves all the teachers here. I would highly recommend to any new parent looking for a quality daycare/​school.

I love this school, not only is the staff dedicated so are the parents. The envolvement to bring fundraising, socials and extra curricular to the kids is the best. Most of all I love that there is not a TV or computer on site. They let kids to do what they do best that is use their imaginations and play. My son goes 5 days a week full time, with out a overly steep cost. The extended care has developed in the last six months with the hiring of some new faces.

After seeing the last post, I wanted to add that my kids all attended after care as well. I really liked that the afternoon was less structured than the «school» portion of the day. There is a routine that the teachers stick to each day which includes a mix of outdoor play, story time, and indoor games. If your child naps, they have a nice quiet room with cots (your child brings their own a sleeping bag, pillow and lovie.) I never had a problem finding out what my children were up to during the day. Yes, the «school» teachers leave earlier in the day, but I just talked to them in the morning to either find out how the day before went or if there was something exciting planned for the day. The teachers are all very accessible and I felt like they enjoyed talking to me about my kids.
