Not really my go to spot. I tried this place twice. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt when my carne asada street tacos came out so dry with sour cream on the side. Two dudes sitting not too far from us ordered the same thing, they hooked his tacos up(cheese, sour cream & salsa)…maybe my fault for not requesting more. I gave it another shot about a month ago and ordered the tacos again but this time I specified exactly what I wanted, got back to work, opened them up and they switched the tortilla size(super mini), SAMEPRICE(I should add) and I had two bites of food in front of me… needless to say I’m OVER this place!

Wife and I were looking for another restaurant and passed Los Palmares nestled amid an office park. OK… why not? We found out why not was the appropriate answer as this place was a real dog when it came to the food. It was like cardboard with thin, bulk-bought salsa. The carnita tacos were dry and flavorless, in spite of the cilantro and onions. Actually the cilantro and onions were the best part of this less-than-satisfactory faux-Mexican eatery. We found the food and the service sorely lacking and do not recommend it to anyone. Am absolutely amazed at the high ratings given by some. Maybe your tastes match theirs? Are you feeling lucky?

On a Friday evening three of us and we ordered enchiladas, huaraches and sopes. The food had lots of great flavor was fast, the service really friendly and the restaurant was clean. Lots of small groups of guys grabbing dinner after work– a good sign. Solid at a reasonable price.

I love the huaraches here. Actually this is the only spot in Marin that I’ve found that even has authentic huaraches!(That ‘huaraches’ spot in Larkspur Landing does not even compare) Service is always great here, atmosphere is nice and there is outside seating that is pleasant and clean. Everything I have eaten here is delicious — and I have tried a lot on their menu. I highly recommend the fajitas, huaraches, or any of their soups. Yummy, fresh, hearty and at a great price!

Good food and a really nice outdoor seating area in front. I like the vegetarian taco combo. Classic. Service is spotty and not always«customer oriented», just like being in Latin America.

I just want to say that the service here is lousy. the waitress seems to be focused on what it does have very expensive prices and worse service. are not relevant nor helpful. Today I left upset about not receiving my order after waiting 48 minutes. ‘re never visit place if you want a good spot.

The food here is so good! It’s authentic, just like my friend’s mom used to make. The tortilla soup can warm you up on the coldest days and put a smile on your face! There’s nothing better than getting exactly what you want from friendly service! If you’re looking for an authentic dining experience, come eat here!!!

The super nachoes were very delicious! The waitress accidentally put our order after someone who came later than us, but the hostess brought out a dessert on the house, and gave a 10% discount on the meal. They were very respectful and nice, and the food was fresh and delicious.

Really delicious steak fajita burrito! Nice tables outside(both in the shade and in the sun) on a fairly quiet stretch of the street. I highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Pretty good pretty good. The first time I go to a Mexican Restaurant I always get the chicken chimichanga. Its my go to dish. Its the standard indicator I use to compare all Mexican restaurants. So here I am, first time at Las Palmeras, what do I get? The chicken. chimichanga of course. Didnt you just ready the paragraph above?! It came out within minutes and was hot and crispy, topped with guacamole, sour cream, and tomato. The filling was fresh, tasty, and also hot. It. came with a bowl of chips on the side. And an ice cold Modelo Negro to drink. Loved it. I was the only one there at 5:30 pm on a Monday night. As a result service was ultra fast. So I had dinner and a beer in about 20 minutes. Worked out well as by the time I was done, U-Haul finished installing my hitch. Next time I come back will try something different. Maybe Ill go crazy and get a burrito.

The food here is hit and miss. Sometimes it can be exactly what you want and sometimes they fall flat on there faces ! This restaurant is very greedy with ingredients, like dam can a girl get some sour cream and guacamole for her burrito ?! In the past I received a bag with 8 chips along with my to go order. Like, Really? why even bother? The tortilla soup is what keeps me going back. Its warms up the belly during the fall and winter seasons.

This place used to be a 5 but the last time i went the quality seemed to go downhill. Their tortilla soup is my favorite. Nice spicey roasted flavor with big chunks of meat and avocado. But then last time I went they didnt put any avocado and the richness of the broth was lacking. That was dissapointing. Same with the chilaquiles. They have the best chilaquiles but overall still not as good as they used to be. Do not get carne asada here… poor quality meat with less than outstanding marination. Big portions for a greeeeeeeeat price.

Food is fresh and not greasy like many of the Mexican places. The Carne Asada is not burnt and crispy it is cooked perfectly. This is the only place my daughters like the Burritos, chicken is juicy a seasoned nicely.

I’m not sure what restaurant these other reviews are for but the one I ate at was terrible. I had the 3 enchiladas combo plate – one chicken, one beef and one pork. All of them were bad. The chicken in particular was very dried out and like shoe leather. Service was okay.

Great, freshly made Mexican food served with a smile by Maritza(I believe she is the owner). Nice garden dining out front made for a very pleasant, relaxed meal. I’m one of the picky vegetarians mentioned in Bettie’s review and have to say that I felt confident the food I was eating was one hundred percent vegetarian. Highly recommended!

I used to work next door and managed to limit myself to just one veggie burrito per week. They were HUGE and full of delicious grilled veggies. Recently, we asked them to prepare 80 breakfast burritos for our wedding guests for a next-day brunch. I had never had Los Palmares’ breakfast burrito so it was somewhat of a risk. The burritos, however, were outstanding. My husband(!!) and I have had quite a few breakfast burritos and were both thoroughly impressed. They even held up for lunch the following day. Martiza was wonderful to work with and gave us a great price. So glad we went with them.

I work next door so this is always the go-to place when we are in a rush and can’t come up with anything else creative. I almost always get a chicken quesadilla, but I’ve had a burrito, torta, and tacos as well. The food is really good, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and decent quality. The main girl behind the counter is always really cool and sometimes will actually deliver the food to us next door. As far as negatives, it could be a little bit cheaper(~$ 9) for a quesadilla, and it’s always really freaking cold inside.
