The BEST at mending holes in my cashmere sweaters — you cannot even tell it was mended! Very reasonable prices, quick service, and the sweetest people in the world.

I brought in 6 things for a trip I was going on. Half needed to be dry cleaned, and the other half needed to be altered. They are seriously the SWEETEST people you will ever meet. They have such great energy, and listened to all of my needs. One of my sweaters that needed dry cleaning had a button that was falling off — and they fixed that too without me even asking! They are really great, I trust them, and will definitely go back. They called me on the day I had to pick up my clothes, and were so patient waiting for me to pick everything up. Their customer service and their skills are ¹⁰⁄₁₀. Thank you so, so much.

I needed an Eileen Fisher top hemmed. I usually can hem my clothes, but this fancy dancy top was hemmed on an extreme diagonal, way out of my league of sewing expertise. (I should have bought the shorter Eileen Fisher top since I’m short stuff, but it was even crazier in price & I am a thrifty Scot.)

Very friendly ladies plus they did a perfect job at a very fair price. Now I’m finally wearing this cool top often. YAY!

This place has fair and reasonable prices. They have been a little slow on the rare occasion with tailoring but in general the ladies are pleasant to deal with and I recommend them.

Great service & reasonably priced! Not much more you can ask for. I’ve also done alterations here, they are fantastic. They can accommodate last minute alteration or cleaning.

I would give this business ten stars plus. Lily (whose nickname is Terri) is simply the best. She’s taken care of altering dresses, pants, jeans, tops and suits. Her work is wonderful. If a piece needs an additional tweak on top of a first pass (which is pretty rare), she takes care of it for no charge. All alterations are incredibly reasonable and done within days. She goes above and beyond to ensure you have your clothing when you need it. She even welcomes you in to the store when she is closed if you have an emergency. You could not ask for better tailoring or service.

I love Lily’s! I tried them out a few weeks ago. Brought in a few dress shirts to be dry cleaned and a pair of suit pants to be tailored. The pants came out perfect! And the shirts clean. The price seems fair for alterations and the dry cleaning is very cheap. For 4 or 5 dress shirts dry cleaned and a pair of suit pants tailored it cost me somewhere around $ 50 (my memory is not the best lol). They all all super friendly there and you can pick up your items just after a few days, not weeks. My wife and I have already brought back several items to be altered. I’m excited to have found out about this place!

I have been taking tailoring and dry cleaning to Lily’s for about five years now. She is really a tailor and blessed with talent and great good humor. A friend gave me a sport jacket (too big), and Lily took it apart and completely re-​fitted it for me including moving the shoulders in ½ inch on each side. Dry cleaning has always come back perfect. Lily has done many alterations for me and always given good advice. Her tailoring prices are people prices.

I love them. That is all. They are unfailing. And? If for some crazy reason you need them to re-​do something? They will. I was in there one day and a customer’s car had broken down. She needed her dress delivered for her party that night. They went above and beyond and actually got directions and promised the dress would be there when she got home. That kind of service, even though they don’t «deliver» is above and beyond.
They can repair any hole in anything, including cashmere and you would never ever know it was ever there.
Plus the new baby is really cute.

I’ve been using Lily’s for dry cleaning and simple alterations (hemming my men’s pants, etc.) for maybe ten years. I’ve never had to take anything back for re-​doing, the service is unfailingly smiley and polite, the prices very competitive. The personnel are reliable, competent (talented!), trustworthy. That’s a pretty big deal in this day and age.

COuld not be happier!!! I searched high and low for someone to repair the holes, large and small that my sweaters seem to incur. I’m beyond pleased. Like the previous reviews: you won’t be able to tell where the holes were. I was referred to them by a satisfied client. Not only do they do high quality work, but they are efficient, reasonably priced, and very personable.

I’ve been a customer of Lily’s for quite a few years and never been disappointed with her work. I bring all sorts of things in for tailoring from simple (shorten skirts) to difficult (remake the sleeves of a leather jacket!). Never any problems and she always sends me away by saying «if there is any problem, you let me know and we’ll fix it». Very reliable and pleasant to work with.

I go to Lily’s (NOT the name of the owner, by the way) for most of my alteration and dry-​cleaning needs. Because she is pretty inexpensive, I have developed this pattern of cleaning out my closet every summer and, along with donating or re-​selling things that I really don’t want anymore, I put aside things with great fabric/​potential to take to Lily’s and get «edited». The owner helps me change them up completely – shorten a skirt, close flutter sleeves, re-​fit pants that don’t fit well, make the shoulders smaller in vintage pieces that used to have shoulder-​pads, change buttons, turn flares into skinny jeans, re-​shape a blouse, and so on. I can revamp my wardrobe without paying for new clothing! Woot!
Also, if your jeans are starting to wear (for instance in that great little place on the inner thigh where modern stretch-​denim just can’t seem to hold up), bring them here, she is great at reinforcing and even fixing-​up tears so that they are minimally-​noticeable.
Caveat: I’m not sure about her talents regarding from-​scratch, custom-​made pieces; you might want to take those projects to Hildegard’s.
Side-​note: she also mysteriously started selling large collection of Cambodian items a couple of years ago, so if you want sarongs in bright fabrics for minimal prices, check this place out.
