THISPERSONISUNETHICALANDUNPROFESSIONAL. DONOTUSE! I hired John and his handyman services to fix what I thought a simple dripping bathtub faucet. He sent a man who said that plumbing was not really his thing. He began working on it and continued working on it for several hours. He made a trip to the hardware store and bought material that was the wrong fit. He returned the next day and had to make another trip to the hardware store. Meanwhile, I am wondering am I paying for all of these trips? He finally fixed it and said that he thought it was repaired. Not exactly confidence inspiring… Well, about two weeks later, the entire valve broke causing major flooding from the second floor down through the walls and into the garage. When I asked John for a refund because not only did his guy not repair the problem but made it a whole lot worse, he refused. I then asked for a partial refund and he still refused. We had to dry out the walls and replace the valve. He claimed ZERO responsibility. There you have it… some one who does not stand by his handywork. Never again. Now, I want you all to know that he can not be trusted.

If this guy ever marketed himself, I would lose my #1, go to carpenter/handyman/repair guy/jack of all trades. Though he’s generally willing to do work that does not fully include his skills as a carpenter, fine carpentry and overbid jobs by General Contractor’s are his forte. He recently did at lot of work for me including dry rot removal and protection, exterior painting, sidewalk repair. He made design suggestions, offered advice on the most cost effective way to solve a problem even when the solution would entail less money for him. I’m impressed. Also rare in his field is that he will complete the job and be available throughout. My previous experience with construction/building/carpentry jobs was that the contractor and skilled labor were my best friends during the bidding/estimation process but as soon as I had committed to the project & written a check the romance was over. I would never see the contractor again and the people finishing the job were usually relatives of the ones who started the job. In essence, i had signed on for $ 60/hour of skilled, efficient labor but wound up with $ 12/hr. workmen onsite. The contractor would be off bidding on other jobs and would rarely return calls. Not the case with John. Highly recommended
