As a last expensive resort this place will work. It’s like a puppy mill only its a mani/​pedi mill. Massage? What massage? Cuticle care? Not here! Pumice stone, my calluses were tickled not scrubbed. My toes look worse than if I did them myself at least I can wield a pumice stone! Every time I come here because it’s convenient and I need to get my Manny Petty without any hassle I come here and every single time I am so disappointed pissed off and say I’m never gonna come back here. Head to toes in downtown San Rafael is by far the better way to go!

Very happy with my nails. All of the employees strived to work together on creating this design the way I had envisioned and I am very pleased with rhe outcome. I felt as though i was a valued customer. Andi appreciate that. The Massage at the end is great as well!

This place really seemed to disappoint! For a place that looks pretty inside and out the décor doesn’t match the service nor the attitudes of the Asian ladies that work there.
It was our first time there and also my daughters whose 7^th birthday it was. Her first manicure experience. And she was so excited! Not one of the employees were friendly, not even a smile! They talked in their language, stared rudely and were very unprofessional.
So, if you go to this place, you’re pretty much paying a high price for crappy service. I would never go back here again and I am sorry this had to be my daughters first experience! Sad story!

I used to come to this shop quite a bit, but I found that they charge more than most nail salons and it is starting to look shabby.

Took my gf there and was very dissapointed with the service. Just unfriendly and rude. Never going back.

I agree with the negatives posted here. No way to relax here. It’s noisy and rushed and the service is slapdash. They run a lot of people through. Beauty Island is just 1 or 2 freeway exits north and it’s an oasis of calm, clean, and competence.

Very unhappy with my experience have been a regular for a while will NOT go back. Gel manicure only lasted a week went in to get a repair charged me 3.00 for one finger lasted a day went back again and charged 12.00 Absolutely ridiculous told it was the policy by the manager Will NEVER go back. Poor customer service. So much for customer loyalty. Stay away they dont care.

I am a regular at Fingers and Toes in Bön Air Shopping Mall and thought I’d give this branch a try. What a mistake! One of the worst mani –pedi’s I have ever experienced. The customer service was poor at best, the manicurist with the enthusiasm of dying ferret, spent 2 seconds scrubing and massaging my feet. Although I told her NOT to cut my cuticles, she proceeded with enthusiasm to clip away. Additionally I asked her not to put oil on my legs (spray tan) she dumped a gallon on and then went to wipe it off with a filthy dirty towel. All this for a $ 40 charge. Last time to ever visit this salon.

Came here for a pedicure, I’ve only ever had a few, but this one was really not exciting.
The place is pretty, but when you look closely the décor is pretty worn out. The chairs had large scuffs, scratches and some tears. It gave it an unkept sort of feeling.
The chairs were just chairs, not the massage chairs like I’ve seen most other places and the foot bath was a huge copper bowl with lemon slices in it. There weren’t any jets and the water didn’t stay hot for long. But you really didn’t soak in it very long either.
She massaged my feet, took off my old polish. Nothing was really memorably wonderful. Although when scrubbing my (pretty much not there) callouses she kept tickling me by accident. Every time I giggled or twitched she’d chuckle and apologize. I thought it was kinda cute.
What really bugged me though is they didn’t even touch my cuticles. That’s usually the reason I like to go to salons is so they can beat beat my cuticles into submission. They went unbeaten, sadly. My toenails were really short so it was kinda hard for her to trim or shape anything, so that’s not her fault. The polish went on even and the color held up nicely. But because the cuticles weren’t done the pedicure looked older than it was when my nails grew out and I did my cuticles myself.
I’ve been other places I like more, I just thought I’d try this out. I didn’t get any sort of infection, so I’m not condemning this place, it’s just not as wonderful as some other places I’ve been.

I was not impressed by this salon at all. Had some time and nails needed to be done so I wandered in for a gel mani-​pedi. Mid-​day on a workday so the fact that there were any customers seemed promising. No massage chairs (strike 1). While the ladies working on my fingers and toes were nice, they seemed like they experienced but not proficient. First lady filed skin and when I said owe she tried to blame it on the nail and said she would ‘show me later’. She didn’t show me and I didn’t have that saw mark off the side of my nail before she started. What really really irks me is that I pay for gel polish because I know I am hard on my nails. I need the polish to last. I have never had gel peel off like this. When I think back, I don’t believe they put a base code of clear under the gel and this must be the difference. Less than a week has passed and the polish is separating in several places. This is not standard and reeks of a poor job. I will not be returning.
Regarding the other reviewer who said that you need to tip in cash. I did notice multiple signs at the front desk indicating this when I arrived. I asked a friend about this who works in a restaurant and found out that this is because the salon doesn’t want to pay credit card fees on tip money. Have seen this in several salons lately.

I’ve given this place a few tries, and i am always disappointed. In my opinion, they have really bad customer service. They rush you, don’t scrub your feet well enough, and are pricey (for the mediocre job the perform). Don’t waste your time :(

It’s been a year since my first review. I still think it’s awfully pricey compared to other salons in area. I pulled out a hundred dollar bill to buy a gift card and the ladies swarmed my chair try to up-​sale me with a message and other special treatments.
They really man-​handle you at this salon, gentle is not their middle name! It is really a rush job on the nails but they seem to look ok.
I have mixed feeling about this salon. The décor is cute however it’s old and unclean looking. I’m happy they use a tub of water because chairs are prone to bacteria collecting in the back of the chair due to poor circulation in older chairs. Another bonus is the location at the mall and they stay open till at least 8:30 pm.

Terrible– don’t waste your time or money. I’ve given this place several tries and all have ended in disappointment. First… why would a nail salon NOT have massage chairs? Minus a star for that alone. Second– terrible service each time. Short. Unfriendly. Rushed. Not relaxing in the slightest. The last time I got a pedicure, my station was messy, the woman rushed through my pedicure, and they completely forgot the massage portion of the service. Not even a fan turned on to dry my toes. When I brought this to the attention– politely!- of the front desk, the woman completely snapped at me and said it was my fault for talking too much… like it was my responsibility to remind the person for the massage portion?! Rude and unprofessional. Go elsewhere!

After coming here on and off over the past few years, I’m finally done with the mediocrity of this salon. Today, three people mumbled something to me while looking past me and the warm foot bath turned cold before the pedicure began. The ‘massage’ part of the pedicure is lifeless as is the people that work here. Ugh. Don’t even waste your time.

This is a super cute salon with a lot of stations and a convenient location in the Northgate Mall. Drawbacks: the staff can be a little unfriendly and the massages can be short, especially if you go in the evenings. They also frequently change their policy about whether they accept tips as cash only.
On the plus side, they have a lot of gel and regular polish colors and can usually get you in last minute.
Bottom line: go for good nails, not the experience.

This busy salon has high turn-​over and feels like an NYC salon. It’s not relaxing, which one hopes for in a salon, but they get the job done when you need it. Mani/​pedis run about $ 40. They get you to pay tip in cash (which I would’ve done anyway) by running your card pre-​polish and then telling you there’s «no place to write a tip» on the receipt. The ladies who helped me were really nice and helped me select great colors. I noticed lots of reviewers wrote about the ladies chatting — have y’all never been to a salon before? That’s standard, and no more so here than any other place. The salon itself is pretty and tastefully appointed — leather chairs, decals on the walls, a sparkly chandelier — and they leave the door open so there’s at least a little ventilation. There’s cheesy 90s pop music on the radio, which pairs well with the gossip magazines. Not the world’s greatest nail salon, but you could certainly do worse after a day of wandering around the mall!

Great service. Moderately priced. Plenty of parking. Got in with no appointment. She did a great massage and had great attention to detail.

$ 40 for tips, gel plus I tipped 10 .She was in a mighty big hurry.
I showed her a picture of the last time they did my nails. She asked if it was my finger? Needless to say, it was.
I do not switch out my fingers. Ha!

NEVER going back here! like… ever.
First experience. I went in with my friend and asked if they could repair a nail that was already chipping (they didn’t do the chipped manicure but they carried the same gel color and brand)…
Within 2 days the nailpolish went gray?! it was VERY ODD! I gave them another chance because it was only one nail.
Second experience — the manicure was SUPER expensive. I can get a full set of gel + removal for $ 20 elsewhere… here… it’s almost twice as much.
The lady didn’t even use a base coat!!! and the massage was super weak and kinda just ticklish and not relaxing.
When I got home I realized she had split one of my nails & so I ended up having to cut a nail and had a shitty manicure for the entire 2 weeks… not to mention that the polish started chipping in less than 3 days.
it’s nice inside… but I will NOT recommend this place. There are far better less expensive places in the same town.

I ask for a gel mani/​pedi and they were very honest about their pricing.
85.00 for a gel mani/​pedi!
However, a less expensive option of a reg. mani/​pedi at 35.00 dollars was suggested.-Great!
The women were very nice and helpful in finding a color for me and the polish job was excellent.

The message was a little lacking for me, I prefer a deeper, not so lite message.
