I LOVE Dr. Lettuce!!! Gonzalo(the Doctor himself) puts very genuine love and care into everything he serves — and I believe that makes a very real difference to eating enjoyment and nutritional value. His smoothies are excellent and below typical prices — I find it a very fortunate boon to have healthy fast food available when I don’t have time to prep it myself. Thank you Dr. Lettuce — you are a GEM!!!

Dr. Lettuce is a great small café located in the Renaissance Center. His sandwiches are great, I usually get the Turkey with Provolone, it comes toasted with a little oil and vinegar., tasty. I am a creature of habit and probably eat here about 2 –3 times a week.

The name should be changed to «Dr. Lettuce and Mr. Kale» because by itself, it doesn’t do justice to what Gonzalo creates in this little hidden jewel. His Kale salad is fresh, exploding with flavors and full of nutrition. The perfect lunch to stay alert in the afternoon. I’d have to say that it’s the best Kale salad I’ve ever had! And I love his sandwiches — ingredients are top notch, the bread is toasted and it’s more than one can eat by one’s self.

Mmmm. The mole. I’ve never had chicken mole as a sandwich before. Everything was perfect, from the crusty warm whole grain roll to the crisp lettuce, tender chicken, and dark, savory home-made mole. Bravo!

I just enjoyed their Renaissance Veggie sandwich on 3 grain sourdough. Perfectly oven-toasted. It had artichoke hearts, tomato, black olives, red onion, mozzarella cheese, guru dressing and vegennaise. I’m so glad to have a healthy delicious choice for lunch. And I had a cup of coffee from them last week that would put Starbucks to shame. You definitely have to check Mr. Lettuce out. Gonzalo knows his greens.
