Mostly okay, but I don’t think I’ll go back. I got small single braids. Two of the younger ladies there were sweet and kind. The one who worked on me first had really gentle hands. Later another stylist came and was braiding my head with the intensity of a military commando — and I’ve never heard someone talk for that many hours straight without stopping(not to me). It was a bit of a barrage, but I’m sensitive. You have to pay cash, and I planned enough for tip too but in the end they price they told me($ 400) was higher than the price they said in the beginning($ 350), and since $ 400 was was all I had, plus the tip I was gonna do, hmmm. Dunno. The braids in the end were tight and clean though so I decided it was all worth it. The extensions they put in were not the best quality but they had no other options available, so I went with it. But they’re super scratchy! Also after about 2 weeks though my braids were already frizzing out. I scizzored the frizz as best I could but not sure what else to do with all the new loose ends that keep poking out. I can’t remember it being such a problem before, and this is the 4th time I’ve had full braids, but I can’t tell if it’s just my hair? It’s been a while since I did this. Like I said, it was okay. Kinda pricey to just be okay though with low quality extensions and a wall of words in my ears for hours on end. They are definitely really good at the braiding part — that I’ll say. It was FAST! Hope this was helpful!

Well, another wonderful braiding experience from Niama! We went big and bold with kinky curly and a tree braid in the front. A lotta hair but I love it. Niama is so sweet and she does such an excellent job. Plus, my hair has grown; she was able to braid my hair at the nape and she couldn’t do that the last time. To comment on my last experience: I went over the two months and people were still complimenting me on my hair. I only lost four braids total; I remain highly impressed with the quality of her work. She is excellent!

I don’t even know where to start, I have NOTHING bad to say at all. In fact it’s so much good stuff I don’t know what I want to say first. First off I my hair!!! My head isn’t sore if you touch it like it can be when other have done it in the past, I don’t have a headache and she was FAST!!! I’m so happy I found Aicha Hair braiding, I was on yahoo(which kept sending me to Unilocal) looking for a braid shop near me this past Friday night and I found this place and another person. Well she won me over with her good reviews and reasonable price, fast response and she was available today SUNDAY which to me is the last min. But that was perfect cause the only other day I had available was next Friday and that was just too far out for me to wait that long. She’s very nice and professional, she will get you in and get the job done at a decent amount of time. It took me 4 ½ hrs. Which is very fast for me considering other places that I’ve had to sit for HOURS!!! I would come in during the day and leave at night. But not at Aicha. The best part was when I came back home and my son was in love with my new due too. that was just too cute to me. And he’s 4yrs. I can honestly say I’ll be going back agin when it’s time.

Aicha Hair Braiding is a newer shop(opened in August 2014) near Contra Costa College. Support your local businesses by booking an appointment for braids(corn-rolls) twists, regular singles, dread twists, sew-ins, etc. Your best bet is to call and inquire about prices but she probably will need to see your hair first. I had a very pleasant experience! She was pretty fast and I am please with the final outcome of my Senegalese Twists. Cheap for the length but great quality nonetheless. I’d give this place a year to get on it’s feet. She is looking for help for those in need of work. GOINQUIRE!!! I also want to mention how sweet the owner Niama was. Very great customer service and professionalism.

She’s very fast and always on time for my appointments. Niama is braiding my daughter’s hair now… box braids in less than 4 hours on a school night! My hair is also braided and I came back for a touch up 8 weeks later. In and Out!

I was in search for a last minute hair braider right before my vacation, the previous place I had booked with turned out to be ghetto. She was kind enough to stop her family plans for me to do my hair. It took about 4 ½ hours to do long Senegalese twist. I would recommend her it’s been over a month and I have yet to tie my hair up at night and they still look pretty decent.

After my last visit, I decided to go back, although I didn’t have an appointment she welcomed me very nicely. The wait time was not too long and as the first time my hair was beautiful and the price is the best in the Bay Area. Aicha hair braiding will be only salon that I can recommend for African hair braiding.
