I would give a no star review if I could. This dude just tried to charge me 75 cents plus tax for a cup. I told him i diabetice and need some cold water(had my own water bottle) he handed me a styrofoam cup that was smaller than a dixie cup. I even bought a dam sandwhich it wasnt like i just randomly walked in odf the street. His reason for the charge was that they inventory theor cups… Terrible job subway just absolutely terrible

Had a bad experience here yesterday but called and spoke with the manager eddy today and he was very nice, glad that the manager is willing to listen to customer feedback.

Sometimes I go to a Subway and think, «This is the worst Subway.» But then I am reminded where the true worst Subway is when I come to my local franchise. I know Subway is famous in general for their stinginess, but these franchisees(who are the only people ever working the line) take it to an art form.(Is this what they really mean by sandwich artists?) It is particularly infuriating to witness this miserly sandwich-making in action when you are a devotee of the Veggie Delight, with no sauces or cheese. This sandwich costs them NOTHING. I am in fact saving THEM money by ordering this vegan option. I counted today and I got THREEPICKLESLICES. FOURONIONTHREADS. I mean, it is just damned ridiculous. I encourage everyone to abandon this Subway and drive the extra minute down the street to a larger, cleaner, and air conditioned Subway shop not run by the cheapest jokers on the planet.

Walk in, no ones at counter… Dude pops out like I’m disturbing his movie in the back. I get two subs of the day… Puts em together like he is about to miss best part of his movie, record speeds… Forgets every step of the way what I order, Charges me regular price, not sub of day price then pops back into the back of the store. Horrible. I work down the street and came here for my lunch break. My sandwich was toasted for literally 10 seconds, and there was barely any tuna or veggies. I felt like I was just eating straight up bread. Once again, horrible. This is probably going to be the only time I’m coming to this Subway for lunch again.

Well, I guess I should have checked the reviews firsr, however I needed a restroom, so I stopped. Their restroom was clean, and that was the best part of my experience. I ordered a BLT with the bacon well, it’s practically raw and not the standard bacon but rather some smokey flavoring. The remainder of my sandwich is primarily bread. Quite disappointed. This will be my last visit to ANY subway. Oh, and the first thing I ordered was soup, he never gave it to me. How’s that profitable???

By far the worst Subway ever. It may be due to the owner/management being frugal by skimping on everything, charging extra for any and everything and even limiting«free refills» on beverages to just one! Cookies seem old; dry and crumbly. When I have brought it to the attention of the staff it has been received very poorly. Even though it is just a walking distance for me this Subway is off my list entirely. Need another sandwich spot in the 37th Ave/Beresford part of San Mateo. G&G Deli is sorely missed.

I may have judged this place too quickly. The asian lady may not seem very friendly at first, but the owner is really nice(and has an outstanding memory) and we had quite a nice chat about the living conditions here. Else the place is clean and most often empty, which means you get food faster. Convenient parking in front as well. Also size(of the cups) doesn’t matter !

Service sucks here. The man is very kind but his wife is a total b#%!# ~ didn’t say anything didn’t even offer a plate a drink or any sides or even my receipt. Just through it in a bag and walked away. They are both asian and it seems she doesn’t like white people.

I been to so many subways because my job requires lots of driving. I NEVER been to one like this. They have a policy of only 1 refill per customer. If I’m not mistaken the owners are the asian couple that work there. The husband was very rude telling me that the system was down. He told me to fill up my drink while we were waiting for the system to come back up. He told me twice not once. GRUMPYMAN. On the other hand the lady is so CHEAP. She will skimp your sub in every possible way. Stay away from this subway. I WILLNEVERBECOMINGBACK.

As everyone else has said, the service here is not great. It’s a chain so you can’t expect much but this Subway usually leaves you feeling unsatisfied about something. My 2-star story: I came in on New Year’s Eve for a quick afternoon bite and they rudely turned me away. It was about 2:30 in the afternoon and I recognize it was NYE but why turn away someone who wants to give you money? Also, they were somewhat rude about it and bickered in front of me, the wife kind of wanted to serve me while the husband clearly didn’t. No sign on the outside or anything to indicate their arbitrary closing time. Not to mention, they were in the middle of serving someone, why not do one more if you clearly decided to serve someone else 3 minutes ago?

Credible Subway, but so many rules posted on handwritten signs that it seems like a police state. On top of that, he’s a bit skimpy with the vegetables. Don’t know what you really expect from a Subway — it’s clean, tasty and convenient. But, don’t expect any more.

Legitimately the worst subway I’ve ever been to. That’s saying a lot, because it’s f’ing subway. If you wanna pay the same price and blatantly get skimped on meat, come to this subway. If not, I recommend literally any other restaurant than this one. Rosalina was the workers name, just turn around and walk out if you ever see her in here.

Wow I have to admit that this is the worst subway I’ve bee been to. I’ve been here a few times since it’s nearby my work and I’ve bitten my tongue for way too long so here it goes. The Asian lady that works there I think she and her husband are the owners of the establishment but for being the owners I would show a little bit more appreciation and better customer service. This place never offer whatever the national promo advertised on TV as a matter if fact their prices are higher than most subways. I will never come back to this place ever again.

I went here for lunch today and really enjoyed it! Not only is the food good here, the server Ed is really friendly and has great customer service. I don’t come to Subway too often, but I am definitely coming back here more often now thanks to the great service!

This Subway is significantly worse than any other Subway I have visitied by a large margin. Though it is my local Subway, I will drive the extra distance to the San Carlos location. Recently I forgot how bad this place was and went back for another visit. Here was my experience: To start, the honey oat bread was«not ready yet» at 12:30PM on a Saturday. Next, this place does not carry Swiss cheese, ever. Third, the staff is unfriendly and short with customers. Finally, to top off this lousey visit I was charged an extra .50 for using a credit card with no warning. Literally every other business I have been to that charges for using a credit card warns you before they swipe. The nice thing about going to chain is you expect consitency, something you will not find at this Subway. They are abusing the Subway brand and if I worked for Subway corporate I would shut this place down.

I’m only giving this a lower score because the service could have been better. I got here and the people before me were striking up a conversation with the staff member. I honestly dont mind that, but she kept me waiting for 10 minutes and taking her time to get their food ready. The only plus was after that she kicked my sandwich out with the quickness… she should have done that to their food as well. Just my 2 cents.

I go here a couple times a week after my trip to the pool at the gym. They always stay open late and never scoff at me walking in ten minutes before closing. This is an awesome Subway.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. The employees kicked everyone out of the store 15 minutes prior the posted closing time. They were out of most bread choices, the toaster was«broken», my sandwich had half the meat it should have(and I had to insist that my «Philly Cheesesteak» came with cheese…), and was generally an unpleasant experience. Still cost me $ 20 for two sandwiches. I’ll be calling Subway corporate to complain — and I’m usually quite lenient with regards to food service. Horrible.
