Don’t waste your time. Every time I go in they never have time for a trim really? Why have a sign that says open from 11 – 7 if you always send everyone away

I love seeing Monica! She worked me into her schedule for a much needed haircut and highlights today. It’s nice to see the salon getting busier as they are now fully staffed at each of the stations. Monica was running a little late this morning due to being a little under the weather, but she texted me ahead of time and it was no problem at all, as I was able to take care of a couple of errands. When I got there we got down to business. She definitely knows her stuff as we discussed what length and what color to go with, I trust her expertise. The whole time she totally cracks me up, as she can be no nonsense and really sarcastic which I love. We got my haircut done, saying bye bye to those damaged ends and said hello to new red highlights. It’s always nice to get your hair done, but it was great experience and my hair looks awesome! Looking forward to my next visit!

This place is great! Not only was a wash, haircut, and blow dry affordable, but Monica was also wonderful! She was extremely pleasant to talk to and kept the visit lively and interesting. The shop was very clean and well-​maintained. I am very satisfied with my hair cut, and I will definitely be going back!

Monica is so sweet, she helped me figure out what exactly I wanted with my hair and I said «I trust you, go for it». It turned out amazing! I got partial highlights and short layers. My hair was like a horses tail before and hasn’t been cut in almost 7 months! I would highly recommend this place and make sure to ask for Monica.
Also I bought a purple shampoo to use every so often to keep my blond highlights from turning orange but I actually left the bottle there after I paid and didn’t get a receipt… Can I just come in and pick it up? I remember you said it was the last one you had in stock. Thanks!

Newly renovated salon with 6 chairs, and a hard working owner. Monica highlighted my hair as requested. She took her time. She’s friendly and chatty. She explained what she is doing and understands what a balance, even cut will look like, so I am following up with a haircut!

I highly recommend Salon 173 — Monica (the owner) took the time to do a great job on my color/​highlights. It was clear that she takes pride in her work and wants her customers to be happy. The salon is comfortable and Monica is very sweet.
She even took care to make sure that I didn’t get a parking ticket during my appointment (2 hour parking limit) and a neighbor even walked me to my car with his umbrella after it began to pour following my appointment.
I have bounced around to many different salons trying to find «the one» since moving to the area and think that I might have found it here. I will definitely be returning. Overall, I am one happy customer.

If you are going to do something to make your customers comfortable, you can start by either getting new chairs for the shampoo bowl, or teaching the stylist how to operate them. When I was there I had to literally fold my legs up so I could stop myself from sliding down. I’ve never been more uncomfortable! My neck was so sore during the entire shampoo process.
Oh yes, I’ve never, ever had to take more than 3 hours to get my hair done. Matter of fact, my current salon gives me a Brazilian Blowout, highlights and lowlights, l and a haircut in less than 3 hours! And, my hair is dry when I leave.

Very disappointed. NO STARS FOR YOU. Bought a coupon on Groupon for this Salon Made an appointment 3 weeks in advance for a hair cut and color for a special event: my wedding anniversary. I was called that day and told the appointment was cancelled. No apologies or alternatives were offered. NOTHING! I am receiving a credit from Groupon, but will NEVER do business with this salon. Luckily, a reputable and professional salon was able to accommodate me on short notice.

Amazing experience. Loved Monica. Professional and skilled. I have Caucasian/​African American hair and not many stylist can work with that hair but Monica did an AWESOME job and made my hair beautiful. I will most definitely be going back and recommend to others. I am so glad I found this place and wish I had found Monica earlier.

I found this salon through Groupon for $ 200 worth of permanent makeup for only $ 90! I was skeptical because they were a brand new salon, and didn’t have many reviews. But I took my chances and bought the groupon. I had gotten my top eyeliner done. Both monica and my eyeliner tattoo artist were very professional and sweet ladies! They offered my friend and I beverages, and made us feel comfortable. She was very gentle and knew what she was doing. I highly reccomend salon 173, especially for being a brand new salon, their services were quite up to par. The tattooing was only a little painful, but nothing compared to what I thought the pain would be like. She opened up each needle in front of me, and prepped my eyes, added numbing crème, and began the process. The whole process took about an hour to an hour and a half. Definitely worth it! Looking forward to getting more future services with these two.

Monica is great and the salon is very nice and modern! I was looking for highlights before the holidays and called before buying an online special. She said she had time to do my hair the following day, and did a fantastic job. I will be referring friends/​family her way…

I just happened across this new salon yesterday and wandered in for a trim. Monica, the owner, has created a chic, fresh environment. She is very friendly and enthusiastic and she had great ideas of new hairstyles for me. She listened and did exactly what I wanted. The most fun for me was that when she was done, she asked if she could braid my hair. She made a really cool 5 stranded braid — gorgeous! It was fun, like I got to be her Barbie Doll! I wish my hair would grow faster because I am truly looking forward to going back to Salon One-​Seven-​Three.
