Polhemus Cleaners & Laundry

One star is generous and I only assigned it because I needed to provide a rating in order to post this. Been going to this cleaner for a number of years, but after a recent horrible experience I will NEVER go back!!! Please DON’T USE this cleaner — I brought in close to 20 items and only was given back 10. There were several items not returned which I did not realize (which was a huge mistake) until a few days after I initially picked up my items. They are NOT honest and pretty much told me the exorbitant price is reasonable compared to the cleaners across the street. But that was not the point! The owner told me that I was wrong — why would he steal my items since they wouldn’t fit him?!? Seriously?!? Please DO NOT USE this cleaner because they are NOT honest and not worth the price…

This is an update on my negative review of this joke of a dry cleaning company. I have reported this negligence to the Better Business Bureau as well as Consumer Complaint Agency. If nothing can be resolved, Michael Finney of Seven on Your Side, ABC-​TV will be notified as well as the consumer advocates of all the other local TV stations.

Good service and good hours but PRICEY! Got three shirts and two pants dry cleaned here and it cost me $ 30! Ouch! They don’t list their prices either which is shady.

Good service until they left a stain on a jacket I brought in. I went back to discuss it and they accused me of lying to them and they denied making the mistake. Horrible and rotten and unprofessional. I simply can’t believe they accused me of lying. Why on earth would a customer do that?

I’ve been using Polhemus Cleaner off and on for my laundry and dry cleaning over six years and never had any problems. The dry cleaning always smelled fresh without the chemical scent that some dry cleaner seems to have trouble avoiding. They also seemed to be one of the few laundries that asks if you would like to have the shirt starched and boxed. Most other laundry don’t even bother to ask about starching shirts and you have to specially request to have the shirts folded — because it’s a pain in the butt to keep track of customer preferences and folding shirts is labor intensive compared to hangers.
I like my shirts boxed from Polhemus Cleaners because each shirt is folded crisply and easy to see all the shirts lined up in a drawer instead on a hanger in the closet. Besides, it feels like opening a brand new shirt when it’s folded versus on hangers. I highly recommend them to the others in the neighborhood.

When it says Armani, Zegna or Loro Piana it goes here for cleaning. I always bring my shirts here, and don’t mind paying the price. I have tried other cleaners and have gotten crappy service and on occasion lost buttons… then been told I must’ve brought my shirts in like that. Save yourself aggravation and go here instead.
