I have been a client with Payne Financial Consulting since 1998. Mark and Mary Anne Payne are great to work with and I highly recommend their services.

I have known Mark and Mary Anne for over 4 years. My law firm regularly refers our clients to Payne Financial for tax preparation needs. In addition, we sometimes employ Mark for his bookkeeping, organization, and accounting skills when working on complex cases, such as litigation matters. I find that he is a tremendous resource to the attorneys involved in the case, as well, as the clients. Mark has been doing our personal taxes for many years now. I deeply appreciate his knowledge and advice on the constantly changing tax code. Our returns have changed over the years — sometimes very complex, sometimes very simple — but he always makes the process feel painless. Someone wrote a review here that Payne Financial is expensive and I’m sure you can find cheaper ways to get your taxes done, but I believe the great advice and the peace of mind are worth it.

Hmmm, someone recommended Mark to us, we’ve gone here for our taxes for 2 years now and won’t be going in 2009. He’s a nice enough guy but I just don’t feel he’s worth his high price. His price went up the second year and when we asked him about that, he said he said he actually gave us a «discount» on his yearly price increase. We then asked him to tell us how to adjust what we claim on our W-​2s to get back a little more money (a seemingly quick and easy request I’d think) and when he sent us the figures, he also included a bill for $ 150! I’m not a freeloader, but our old accountant would do little things like that for free, I was just very surprised. He didn’t give us even the smallest tax tips or advice either…
