came in here on a Friday night because we were craving some pasta! Stacey was our server and she was super sincere and tentative. we ordered the calamari and the tarter sauce was soooo good ! we also had the clam chowder which was the special and it was nice and creamy, plenty of clams ! we shared the fettuccine luceti and it was perfectly flavored and perfect portion for us to share. then to finish we shared the NY cheesecake and omg we finished this within seconds ! it’s made in house it was nice and fluffy and the crust had a nice sweet crunch, would definitely order again! overall great atmosphere, service and food, we’ll definitely be back !

After living in the area for the past 21 years, cannot believe it took us this long to visit Luceti’s. Great atmosphere. Very warm reception from the moment we arrived. Our waitress was very amazing; spot on with attention to our table, prompt service, and great follow-up through out the evening. We tried three dishes, which were all excellent(Lasagna, Chicken Parm, and the Gnocchi). The Gnocchi is some the best we have ever tasted. Going to make this a permanent visit.

We had Lunch purchased by my company from this establishment I ordered the $ 15 chicken salad w/avocado. I was expecting grilled chicken on top of some greens and instead got chicken salad in my salad, it was a chicken salad… salad! That takes lazy to a whole new level! It’s very old-school Italian. In the old-school Italian American kind of way where you just visited Nonna and she wasn’t feeling up to making you anything good, so she reheated Linguine and Clams for you. LOL. It’s not good food to be honest. I’d never come back. I went with another couple for dinner. I got chicken piccata, the chicken was thinly sliced but overcooked, the sauce was so lemony and coagulated that I didn’t finish my plate. I cannot remember what everyone else got but I can tell you, we all tasted each other’s plates and I wasn’t impressed. Granted: I am stuck up. I have the worlds best Italian chefs in my family. This was just a travesty. Everyone else outside our little table seemed to love it and looked like returning customers. Surely, they must do something right if it’s been in business this many years, right? Westlake Joe’s is very similar — but for me, I have nostalgia growing up eating there… so I always went back(when it was a different owner). I’m assuming this place has the same patrons. Families who’ve eaten this crap for so many years they just have the heart for it. Unfortunately, I didn’t. But I appreciate the antiquity of the place.

First time here the other day. We chose a busy time to come as there were lots of people but the staff was very welcoming and service was excellent. The portions here are huge and if you have an appetite you will get full. We had the lasagna, Fettucini Luceti and Chicken Parmigiana and they were all delicious. Very«old-school» feel but great spot for a nice family dinner.

Been going here for the last couple years… my absolute favorite is the sole and the fettuccine in a pesto sauce. Their drinks aren’t the best, but the wine list is reasonable… Mike the bartender is fantastic!

Lu’s is a classic Italian restaurant with a slight upscale dining. The entrees are nuanced and delicious. I like the Fettucuini Luceti’s and the chicken Jerusalem.

Just a short update to my previous review back in 2009. New owners have retained all of the good and improved on it. Reminds me of living in North Beach 25 years ago. Excellent service. Big pours. Same menu. Superb attention to detail. Excellent owner oversight; thank you Sandy. I have eaten on six continents and spent a lot of time in Italy. Not Top Chef(thank God) but rock solid, and I hope this business works for the new owners. Basta.

Discovered Luceti’s recently while on vacation and have been back numerous times. The owners, Paul & Sandy are a welcome presence. A stop at the bar for a cocktail is a must. This place has a Supper Club vibe. There seem to be a lot of regulars. Good sign! New owners purchased the original recipes. Notable dishes: spaghetti with meat sauce, ravioli, chicken marsala, chicken parmesan, rib-eye steak special. Spinach salad and garlic bread were delicious as well. Wait staff is very attentive and the meals are delivered accordingly. Neighborhood gem not to be missed! Will return soon on my next visit!

Ive been coming here on Mondays for a «lunch club» that I’ve been a part of for over a year and when I first was invited I was actually impressed but every week since then had progressively got worst… They keep firing their cooks and now you have italian food that is cooked by Mexicans. So I know we are in the bay area so that’s all good and progressive but the quaility is simply gone from this establishment and if u still want to go here and pay 15 bucks or more a plate for taco bell then go ahead… Ilene the bartender is the only thing worth it here

A great looking restaurant with wonderful staff and ambiance. However, The food was far below expectations. As a first timer, the decoration and style of the restaurant gave me high expectations, along with the fact it was full; but as soon as the entrée came those expectations came crashing down. Pros: –wonderful decoration –friendly staff –the bread was great Cons: –lemonade tasted as if it was out of a box –presentation of meals is decent at best –very old-fashioned meals –food was bland –tiramisu with strawberry sauce?

I can’t imagine a better Italian restaurant in the peninsula. For appetizers, we ordered the bruschetta and calamari. The calamari was very well done, crispy and tender. I wasn’t blown away by the bruschetta, but it had good flavor. For entrees members of our group ordered the lasagna, cappellini luceti(with a creamy meat sauce), canneloni, and calamari steak. The calamari steak was special– lightly breaded, fried and very tender. The lasagna is a favorite of mine. The canneloni was great, and the cappellini luceti was amazing– probably made this five, instead of four stars. We also shared tiramasu, which I highly recommend. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff and servers definitely make for a great experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here for any kind of special occasion

Five stars for class and three stars for food equals four stars overall. The food looks great, but the palette of ingredients don’t come together. These guys need a new executive chef to liven up the taste to match this foodies expectations.

I recently had a business dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its a very traditional, old school Italian restaurant. We got seated right away as the restaurant was pretty quite on a Monday night. The tables filled up as we dined and the bar area was very crowded with what looks like a lot of regulars. We started with the calamari and prosciutto & melon appetizers. Both were good sized portions and very tasty. The calamari was nice and crispy, not greasy. We all had different entrees — spaghetti Bolognese, gluten-free pasta Carbonara, chicken Caesar, veal marsala, and veal picatta. I had the veal picatta. It was very tasty. Good lemony caper taste, tender meat. Got portion size. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. Our waitress was very good and came around often to check on us. Food came at a good pace. Definitely a good family restaurant to try if you are looking for traditional Italian food.
