We had such a great visit with Dr. Collom! We met with her for our 11 month old as part of the InfantSEE program. She was wonderful and was able to keep the baby amused while peforming the exam — she even dialated her eyes with no problems. She was also very accomodating to answer our 4 year old’s questions throughout the exam. The exam went as smoothly as could be!

Dr. Collom is amazing! She made me feel like she had a genuine interest in my life outside of the doctor’s office. She chatted easily with me and made me feel comfortable, took an hour to carefully examine my eyes, and explained all the charges ahead of time. I loved her and will definitely be back. Craig D. (above) sounds like a sourpuss.

I don’t care for Karen Collom. Years ago I saw her when she practiced in Burlingame; once was plenty, so I switched practices to San Mateo (Medical Arts building). She showed up there and I moved to the practice across the street.
I found her to be incredibly condescending. Despite my years of using contacts without a problem, she insisted that I was, basically, an idiot who had no idea of what I was doing. I think she is unprofessional, has horrible people skills, and I would never patronize a business at which she worked. Having to interact with her twice was a lifetime’s worth.
