Dr. Finnesey gave me a microdiscectomy back in 2004 to treat a ruptured disc in my spine. I’ve been very pleased with the outcome. Eight years later, the disc is still relatively pain free. I’m happy to say that I haven’t had to see him since.

I didn’t experience any problems with Dr. Finnesey’s staff, I actually found them to be professional and responsive. Nonetheless if you have to have back surgery, THIS is the surgeon to have in the OR with you.

Yes, it is not fair to rate the dr by one call to the front desk. I have gone to dr finnesey for 10 years now off and on for different problems my family has had. He has been wonderful! He also referred us to a very good physical therapist in Foster City, Brady Physical Therapy. I do not know anything about Apex, but I do know through experience with many family members that Brady Physical Therapy is the best in the area that we have found!

Not impressed with the staff over the phone.
I am in the process of undergoing physical therapy from Apex and was referred to Dr Finnesey by Apex. The woman who answered the phone said they did not take my insurance even though I am with Aetna and they are listed with Aetna. Then she changed tones and said the doctor is not taking new patients.
Yes it may not be very fair to rate the doctor on only a phone conversation with the front desk staff. However maybe low ratings because of front desk staff will encourage more informed and more courteous desk staff. I will never get to meet the doctor so this is all I have to go on.
