I’ve been bringing my son here since he was 8 months! It’s good for younger kids but if you child is older like my son is 2 now it tends to get a little boring! Swings always have a line in the afternoon time too! Overall clean park in foster city

PROS: –bucket swing! –a variety of swings: bucket swing, baby swing, big kid swing(2) –big play structure(geared more for toddlers and not very young ones) –big sand box(pretty clean too) –a few picnic tables –a few benches –bathroom(I’ve never been in there but I heard it’s clean) –plenty of street parking –big grassy field to play ball –trash cans handy –water foundtain My daughter LOVES this park(we all do) mainly because of the bucket swing. It has a bit of everything so it’s a great place for a play date as well. Some parks in Foster City don’t have swings, don’t have a sand area, etc. but this park has it all. The few times that we’ve been here it’s been clean and the older kids who frequent this park are all really nice, especially to the little ones. It’s our new favorite park to play at!

We’d had a nice picnic at Leo J Ryan Memorial Park so we could eat by the water and feed the ducks. We discovered there was no playground by the water, so we headed out looking for another park. We found Farragut Park, a 3.86 acre neighborhood park in residential Foster City(not sure why the address is listed as San Mateo on Unilocal). Features: * Play structure with slides, monkey bars, rock wall, etc. * One bucket swing * One chair swing * Two strap swings * Sand pit * Picnic tables and benches * Drinking fountain * Restroom * Lawn and trees * Street parking It’s not fenced in, but it’s set back from the street enough that you don’t have to worry much about your kid running into traffic. Dogs are welcome on leash, and temporarily off-leash between 5 – 7:30am.

My kids call this«The Sand Park» because of, you guessed it, the sand box. Now, when you hear sand box you conjure up unpleasant images and perhaps smells, but let me assure you there are none! I have never seen any dog poop, or any other poop, in the sand. The trash is kept to a very minimal. The kids love it! The playground equipment here is small, but adequate. There are different parts that are a little more challenging for older kids, but in general this park is good for smaller ones. There are a good amount of swings and benches here too. Also available at this park is a bathroom that, again, is clean and nice smelling. They just put in a new water fountain as well. Rounding out everything is the nicely kept grassy area. For a quick trip to the park or for a day in the sand, this park is for you!
