Arco is just Arco, not an AMPM but rather a smog shop by day. small selection of soft drinks and chips within. selling at 3.39 regular, it’s beats my local Costco by pennies. not crowded today so easy in and out. surprised i haven’t posted earlier about this Arco, it’s top tier gas too, healthful for engine longevity.

The man working at the smog garage was unwilling to help someone in need and was plainly rude. I asked him to borrow a tool(pliers) for 30 seconds so i could take my car antenna off. He first said no due to liability. I tried to reason with him and asked him if there was any way he could help me. He proceeded to lecture me about coming to his business and asking for help and not paying anything. It felt like he was trying to draw me into a shouting match, from which i refrained. Instead i went across the street to the other smog garage where the guy working there didn’t bat an eye, tossed me some pliers and i was on my way 10 seconds later after thanking him. You can find my review of his business as well.

Cheap gas!!! Always 15% cheaper than the Shell across the street! The only thing that is irritating is that they have disabled the cash payment machines so you have to go into the cashier to pay if you are going to use cash. Why do they do that??? The whole area in San Mateo east of El Camino is seedy feeling and this gas station is no different. I get in and out as quickly as possible.

For the most part… it’s like winning the lottery when I go to an Arco gas station: D because it appears to be the cheapest in the land. Always. The only part that’s kind of a bummer is that they only accept debit cards which means all the possible gas rewards I could earn are lost. :(…I mean I know it might be chump change for some… but even if I earn a buck a year that’s two tacos at Jack in the box! You know what I’m saying? Shoooooooot… Haha.(Across the street) For the most part this location has a fast turn around time which is great, because usually Arcos are always busy. So that’s a plus. What I don’t like is that this location, like others hires people that don’t seem to really like their jobs, but at least it’s not horrible customer service. The little store is small and doesn’t have too many options here, but it does the job. Otherwise 7 – 11 is right across the street! Just saying. They recently did a remodel with new pumps which allows you to use your debit card at the pump! Gotta love that. No more multi pump machines with people lining up to use them. So if you’re like me… you’ll love Arco too, and this location does the job! Oh yeah… If you come after hours please try not to wake the attendant from their slumber, pay at the pump. :D Tip To Owner My Tip To Owner is to take out the garbage regularly. Pretty please. I hope this helps, God Bless. ~Da Critic
