Before I walked into this place, from outside, there was a teenage girl sitting on the teenage boy’s lap eating his face away. It was such a disgusting and disturbing sight to see. I went to the counter to place my order. To my surprise, that teenage kid got up from the seat and took my order. …Okay. After ordering, he went back to the same seat and continue on this make out session with his girlfriend. That’s one way to give a show and drive customers away. I wanted to gag lol. It completely unprofessional. The couple eventually went outside because I stayed in a little longer to catch up with my friend. While we were leaving, they were still making out. Needless to say, I wanted to shout, «please get a room.» On another note: We also tried the popcorn chicken, it was not fresh because it was extremely gamy and chewy. Not cool. I’m not coming back, so beware Unilocalers. Be cautious. They take cash only.

1) Their location was hidden and didn’t have a store sign. 2) When we called regarding their location, they hung up. 3) They ran out of boba!!! Wtf?! One star for the cute cashier guy because I can’t give them zero star.

I stopped by one early afternoon after going to the gym. The place was empty. There was 1 guy at the counter who was hard to understand because he was mumbling. I had to ask him to repeat what he was saying a couple times. I asked for a hot almond milk tea with less sugar. He tried to upsell to a large a couple times even after I declined the first time. When my drink was ready, he got my attention by saying«hey! …hey!!» behind the counter. Really? I got my drink, which was pretty hot despite the sleeve. I didn’t try it until a couple minutes into my way home. It was SO watery. It was essentially hot tea with a splash of nonfat milk. Waste of money and time!

It’s 4:50PM Monday and it’s closed although it says that they close at six. I kind of went out of my way to try this place cause I saw it had several stars. What a waste of my time.

One of my favorite boba places. Their thai tea is so good, and their Boba is chewy, like it’s supposed to be… lol not sure why that’s a bad thing. The owners and their family are so wonderful. We went one day before the rush of high school kids(seriously don’t go when school gets out if you aren’t a high schooler, it’s packed!) And my husband accidentally broke his cup and got tea everywhere haha and the owners just laughed, cleaned it up, and gave him a new one. They were so gracious and kind. It’s a family place and it’s just so lovely! We love visiting with them and talking to them. So sweet. Oh, And their orange chicken bowls(totally big enough for 2 or 3) are spectacular!

First, I have only tried their Milk Tea Boba. Second, I stopped by here with a group of teenage girls around 4pm on a weekday. This café is located along Huntington amongst one of the many shops that if you blink, you’ll miss it(I actually drove right past it and had to circle around again). There’s parking right in front. Its located very close to San Marino High School. When we went inside, it is very small(maybe 3 tables) and they were all occupied with teenagers. I ordered a Boba Milk Tea and it was very sweet, but the Boba was very chewy(too chewy). Maybe they have other items that are better, but with so many Boba places nearby, I would go somewhere else. Otherwise, service was friendly and moved quickly, despite there being so many teenagers.

Our office moved on San Marino last year and I’m still trying to figure out a good rotation of restaurants to grab lunch. Thanks to Unilocal,I tried this tiny hole in the wall(in San Marino!) place and got a delicious almond milk tea and popcorn chicken and rice. The first time I drove past it, I completely missed it — it’s really tiny and nondescript. There is parking in the back. The food and milk tea were both yummy, the service was super nice, and fortunately I was the only one waiting for food, but I imagine if there were a few other customers in line, it could have been a while, since there was only 1 person working there. Still, I’m sure I’ll be back to get my milk tea fix in the future! Heads up: They are cash only.

This café is ridiculously small and the wait is always super. The food and drinks are mediocre and sometimes even lower. Only reason they get business is because of their convenient location for lazy high schools to get food. They never have mini bobas which is pretty disappointing since they are a boba place. If you want some quality boba and what not just drive down to HALFANDHALF. Sure its a couple bucks more but it sure is couple thousand times better.

Love the people here with great service and attitude. Great place for a lunch break since they are fast. Also, the smoothies are good for the weather now. Great place to come by and enjoy a quiet afternoon.

Suprisingly good. 3.5 place. Nothing amazing but solid food for lunch or a quick meal. Small place, more of a takeout place. Mapo tofu was great. Came with tea for $ 7.50

I ordered the popcorn chicken rice, cheese and crab wontons, and a plum black tea with lychee jelly. The popcorn chicken rice was delicious. It had the right amount of seasoning. The chicken was very tender. It came nicely assembled with 2 pieces of broccoli and half a sliver of pickled radish. The cheese and crab wontons were amazing! There were only 4, but this was enough because the cheese is so rich. Very, very tasty. I highly recommend. The plum black iced tea was consistent with other places. The plum taste is consistent with the red preserved plums, so a bit on the sweeter side, as opposed to sour. Seating is limited to 2 tables. While waiting there, it seems like they do large volumes of take out.

This was the first place I’ve tried fries seasoned with Chinese Five Spice powder and it was quite delicious. Their boba milk tea was great and the boba perfectly chewy. The owner and workers are also very courteous and nice. I definitely recommend this place.

even though it is a mom and pop shop, their food and drink is definitely the best I have tried so far. Their boba in the milk tea has the perfect amount of chewiness without being overly on under chewy, if that makes sense and their Taiwanese popcorn chicken is pretty delish too :]

They make an excellent almond milk tea! The owner himself whipped up my drinks for me. Their boba has great texture and the service is friendly and quick. I’ll definitely come back to try some of their food next time!

Cash only! A little sad the pork chop rice didn’t come w/stewed egg or pickled veggies(the norm), plus overall flavor’s a bit one dimensional & a lil too salty… But, a decent fry job w/decent pork quality. Copycat signature milk tea is tasty. I don’t do boba so can’t vouch for that. Reasonable prices, excellent service & considering the proximity to me… Hence, the generosity w/the stars. Wish they had good ice coffee w/jelly here tho.(Happy they were at least very honest bout what not to get here.)

This is one of the cutest mom and pop stores in the area! I must have driven/walked by Copycat multiple times so it took some searching to actually find it. It’s a TINY store that you could totally walk by if you weren’t looking for it, but they have a bench out in front so look for that. I ordered a coffee milk tea less sugar without boba. The guy who served me was very nice and thought I was a student of San Marino High lol I was surprised by how many items they offer, not only beverages but food too, even mapo tofu! Prices were reasonable and you get a good sized cup for your money. I’d definitely alternate coming here with Half and Half because it’s a bit cheaper and you can actually finish one drink here without feeling totally sick from all the sugar ;)

i’ve been on a little hunt to discover other good tea/boba in my hood and was so pleasantly surprised when i came here for my first visit. the reviews were very positive, so i went to see for myself. the little café doesn’t scream cool or hip hang-out, but it has a very homey feel walking in. as soon as i got out of my car, i had parked just a few spaces away outside, i could smell the cookin’ coming from the tiny one-room. smelled of frying chicken. a good thing! so i inquired what their coffee milk tea was made of and the owner mis-heard me, thinking i had asked what their milk tea tasted like so he offered me a sample of their basic milk tea. no one ever does that at any of the tea houses i’ve been to, and i happily accepted. the tea had a good flavor to it. much better than another place we used to frequent. i ordered a large coffee milk tea, with less sugar and half boba and a large jasmine milk tea with boba. pretty inexpensive compared to the places we frequent. tea taste and quality are superior, maybe slightly sweeter, and boba is average. they also have some seemingly good food combo specials. i tried their chicken wings, gangnam style(sweet & spicy) — really good and hits the spot. wouldn’t mind coming back to try their lunch deals in the future. the owner was very kind and welcoming. he gives his little tea shop a very personalized touch. i look forward to coming again soon!

Cute little mom and pop shop. Friendly service! Ordered the strawberry boba, and I must say, it was deeeeliiiiiciiiiiiiious! Most places screw that up, but Copycat Café did an excellent job!
