Steer away. Don’t keep items in stock. Better off visiting a whole other city for subway sandwiches. San Marcos subways are all very poorly managed. This one is just one of many in the town that claim they are out of everything.

12:40am 4÷16÷14 I know it’s late and it can be slow at night but damn this guy just didn’t care. Made one of the worst subs I had yet here. He also put the bare minimum on my sub as far as condiments I had to tell him to put more on it about 100 times to put more on it. I got robbed here on my sub as far as condiments went. Not happy

Mainly a quick food source for students residing on or near the Texas State University campus. Came in around 5pm on a Sunday and found that all the tables were dirty. The floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a couple of days – I’m not kidding either. The container for their tea was empty. No straws are large size cup covers. Their credit card machine didn’t work either. It’s not like they(only two people behind the counter) were being overwhelmed either. The guy behind the counter was friendly and the sandwiches were made pretty quickly. My chicken teriyaki sandwich was no warmer than room temperature. The sandwiches didn’t have a lot of meat or condiments – a little disappointing to say the least. Overall, less than average compared to other Subways I’ve had the opportunity to visit.

As part of a total exercise program, I added this Subway to my diet. OK, moment of honesty here. It’s my way of getting in a 0.8 mile purposeful walk each day. And, while I won’t claim to be on the«Jared» plan, I have tuned the 12″ Garden Veggie Delight down to 430 calories and 5g of fat. Yes, if I have to put up with brown mustard instead of mayo, I’m going to have my black olives. Damnit. They do a pretty good job at this location; certainly there’s not the attitude I routinely face at the Subway near Circle C. Staff are friendly enough, and there’s the one guy who lightens it up by making sound effects(ala Michael Winslow in «Police Academy»). Sometimes there’s a bit of a backup at the lunch hour and the line is almost out the door, but there’s always a crew of five behind the tiny prep counter and the line moves quickly. Fortunately, I hit during Subtember when many of the footlong subs are $ 5 after the dog days of summer are over. I don’t eat in, so I do appreciate that they provide a small supply of napkins(I’ve yet to get a single one from Jimmy John’s, despite asking). And, yes, the Jimmy John’s guy on his bicycle did give me a dirty look when he passed me walking back with my Subway bag in hand. Will I still be doing this in February when it’s 30 degrees and sleeting? Yeah, well, perhaps that one day I’ll give it up. Until then, so long as they keep making sandwiches my way, I’ll be a fan.

Friendly staff, clean place. Soda machine slightly off on the carbonation v. Syrup but I should think that’ll be fixed before too long.
