Pedal Power Bicycles

The staff here always go out of their way to make sure I understand what they are doing to my bike. I am not a mechanical person and it really makes a difference when they have the patience to explain the work they are doing. I was already convinced never to take my bike anywhere else but Friday two of the guys working got soaked in the rain putting my bike in the back of my car (I drive a scion, so it is a tight fit) and they just waved me on with a smile!

On 11/​30/​2015, I was contacted by the owner of Pedal Power Bicycles explaining that I would receive a $ 50 refund for the tune-​up I paid for on 11/​18/​2015. She apologized and stated, the person that I dealt with no longer worked there. She was very professional and polite by explaining what had gone wrong with the service that I had received on 11/​18/​2015. I really appreciated that she took the time to make it right. It appears as if she has fixed what went wrong with the service I had received on 11/​18/​2015. The next time my bike needs any kind of repair I will definitely take it back to PEDAL POWER BICYCLES.

I bought my Trek bike from Pedal Power earlier this year. At that time I had great service. Yesterday I returned to have some adjustments made. Once again the service was superior. Drew was happy to do the adjustments while we waited. He was friendly and courteous. And the bike runs great.

The shop was clean and the customer service was good. I went in to have my fiancé’s flat repaired on her Brompton today and the turnaround time was better than expected but it was expensive ($ 11). I supplied the intertube thank goodness… I am assuming the cost would have reached $ 18 if I didn’t. I have used other shops in town for ¹⁄₃ of the cost when I supplied the intertube.

A friend of mine abandoned a bon terra Free Spirit bicycle in my yard. It sat out in the elements for 2 years. I’m moving and needed a bike so I thought I’d take it to Pedal Power to see what I needed to do to make it rideable again. I got the deluxe tune up and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. This bike has been completely revitalized and it rides more solid than it did when it was new. Since many of the parts were replaced with higher-​quality parts than came stock, I feel the investment was well worth the cost and I now have a great little commuter bike that feels safe and maneuvers precisely. Not only that, but the bike was ready for pick up a full day ahead of schedule. Gotta love that! This bike shop really is top notch at a fair price. Thank you, Pedal Power!

The staff here were very helpful, friendly, and honest. I let them know what I was interested in doing and they took my measurements free of charge to fit me to the perfect bicycle. Since this is a big purchase to make, I asked a lot of questions and wanted to test out a lot of bikes. She was patient with me and did not hesitate to adjust any bike I tried to my measurements. Another store in town tried to sell me a bike that was too big based on my inseam because they didn’t have any smaller. This is also the only store out of 4 I went to that did such intense measurements. There is a large selection of bikes here too! She also even went over the different parts of the bike so I could understand what I was paying for. They didn’t try to coax me into something ridiculously expensive either.
This is a great place to go for cyclists of any level. I didn’t feel uncomfortable because I’m not an avid cyclist. She even gave me pointers. I definitely recommend this place to any bike shopper!
I give it $$ because a bike can be an expensive investment, but I got a better deal here than any place in Austin.
