Wow, where do I start.
First off, the bartenders were amazing! Very attentive, and knowledgable about the drinks they sold. They were able able to give us a specify every detail of every drink we requested. Very friendly as well and easy to talk to.
The décor just blew my mind! Very personable and San Marcos oriented. Loved every bit of attention to detail.
Now the atmosphere was completely relaxed, definitely not the typical wild college crowd you see around the square… Prices are very reasonable for the quality of drinks you were receiving.
Overall, I am very pleased with my visit to this bar. Definitely will be back to this bar a few a times a week, and make it my regular spot in San Marcos to unwind and relax after work/​class.

A wonderful addition to San Marcos. I felt like I was at a wine bar in Austin, in more ways than one.
First, the selection is extensive and moderately priced. I had a glass of the Rosé and it was $ 7 and the pour was not stingy! My boyfriend had a glass of Pinot and it was fantastic as well.
Second, the atmosphere! Dimly lit, nice highball bar stools, beautiful bar with a lounge area to the left. OUTSIDE! I could have lived in that space. They have a fire pit, and two large heat lamps under a patio area with comfortable seating. They also have an upstairs with additional seating and heat lamps. I can’t wait for it to get hot and spend afternoons and evenings here.
Third, complimentary valet parking! No joke.
Four, there are a few small bite food options which looked great!
Try this place out and I promise it will not disappoint! Chic and hip.

Y’all, this place is great. This is a great addition to San Marcos and I’m happy to have a place to go for a glass of good wine. I’ve been here 4 times and always had a great experience.
The interior is beautiful, you can tell they really spent time on making it look and feel nice, with beautiful wooden bars and nice furniture. The patio has a fireplace and heaters in the winter and likewise has great seating areas — I can’t wait to go here in the summer when it’s warmer out.
The staff are friendly and knowledgable. They know about their entire menu and are able to have a conversation about what wines they serve and help you pick something based on your preferences.

Thank you. Thank you for the tasty cheese plates and wonderful bundles of prosciutto and the excuse for two women to eat half a pound of cheese each. Thank you for the Picpoul and the license to pack it in the trunk of my car when the two of us only drank ²⁄₃ of the bottle. Thank you for the attentive service and good humor. Thank you for the caramelized pineapple martini and thank you S for pointing out its toasted marshmallow taste which I finally clicked to five minutes later (curse your superior sugarless palate!!). Thank you for champagne mustard and stemless glasses and a variety of artwork. Thank you for a wonderful time.
The bar – and I mean the beautiful turquoise-​accented wood you actually lean on – is exquisite and I recognized the local craftwork. I love my town!
The atmosphere is great. The employees are fun and professional. I look forward to returning for more martinis and my turn to get the tab.

So impressed with Café Dolcetto! I loved, loved, loved it! Classy, intimate ambiance for a date or girls night out. Great wine and beer selection and their coffee was delicious also. Definitely will visit again and again.

A few friends had recommended I check out Dolcetto. I’m glad I did! It is brand new to town and run by locals. They put a lot of thought into the décor and menu. I started with the blackberry mead which was way better (and half the price) of a honey wine I had at an Ethiopian restaurant in Austin. There was plenty extra to share with my buddy. In turn, he shared his sour beer with me. It was very refreshing and drinkable. I also got a bottle of wine to take home. I chose the Motto Gung Ho Red Blend. The best part is you can try before you buy. I wish I had sampled more. I’ll definitely be back Saturday and Sunday for Sangria!

Wow… what a beautiful new place with a mature relaxed ambiance. The wine and beer selection is not only impressive but competitive in cost. Finally a place for the older crowd to relax and enjoy good wine, cheese, and conversation at the end of the day. A must visit place in San Marcos.
