Love this place go there all the time the breakfast burritos are amazing and the sauce is always fresh and bomb! Been coming here since high school and they still remember me.

I’ve been eating here for about 20 years. Super casual place with super friendly staff and some of the most delicious carne Asada in town.

Fresh and yummy carne asada fries, rolled tacos, and shrimp ceviche! Best spot in north county area IMO! I’m sure everything on the menu tastes great, but every time I come in I have to get the fries.
Tips:
Come in early or late at dinner, it’s usually slow at these times!
Ask for nacho sauce on the side (they give more)

I’ve never eaten here and now I never will. First time I tried to go, I showed up at 8:04pm. Now everything I’ve read online, even their own front door says that they close at 9:00p but apparently they close at 8:00p. Since I was referred here I decided to give it another try. So second attempt, I confirmed that they do in fact close at 8:00 in spite of what their advertised hours are. I walked in and the high cost of their items was off putting, but since I was told to go here I was going to look past it and try it anyway. And THEN I saw the .50¢ charge to pay with a credit/​debit card and that was just the straw that broke this camels back. They are more expensive than even their competitor in the next shopping center over and THEY don’t charge to use card. So that’s who got my business. Great food, at the taco shop in Albertson’s shopping center, go there.

This place is heaven I’ve been coming here for 4 years. The cashier woman with the beautiful colored eyes is so so so sweet! The other one is whatever, she doesn’t really care that much. But their carne asada fries is too bomb, the key to them giving you more carne instead of just toppings is to ask for the beans, Nacho cheese, jalapeños. Etc. on the side!!! Really good place, really great workers.

I came in here with my mom for lunch and I must sautéed have pretty good food! We ordered the 3 tacos combo and the chicken fajitas combo. The combos we ordered came with a drink and it was delicious! The chicken fajitas were grilled with some veggies and it was delicious! The tortillas tastes so fresh and delicious. My mother got the tacos and they were good as well! They were not skimpy with the meat all all. In fact there was so much that it bursts out of the taco!
All in all our total meal ended up being 13 bucks! Not bad. Other Mexican food places for the same types of dishes would have costed more.

not a fan of the ketchupy-​sweet cocktail sauce that the finely diced (tiny) pieces of OCTOPUS were swimming in – expected more of a ceviche style dish but it clearly says OCTOPUS COCKTAIL (coctel de pulpo) on the menu so that’s my fault.
the FISH TACO was hot and fresh, the cabbage was crunchy and the tortilla warm — got smothered in way too-​o-​o-​o-​o much «white» sauce (needed a whole pile of napkins to eat it) but it was good.
the street-​style CABEZA taco was dry — not sure how a «cut» with that much gelatin and connective tissue could be dry but it was. i am a fool for street-​style tacos and the worst head i ever had was still pretty good.
tasty salsas on the salsa bar. service was excellent.
next visit (per RICHARD T’s suggestion) will try the SHRIMP CEVICHE TOSTADAS and the menudo.

Nachos Supreme were to die for!
Our little one got beans and cheese burrito and loved it. The fries that came with it were excellent! Horchata was different. Had an interesting vanilla taste. Our kid loved it!
My husband got fajitas and loved every bite! I couldn’t stop «helping» him (can’t let him get fat, right?!). The Mexican rice that came with that was honestly the best I’ve even had! I could live on that thing only! The chicken was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The guacamole was unreal too!
I have no idea what those people are talking about (I saw a few not so great reviews) but we found our new favorite Mexican place in town.
Oh, chips were fresh and they had 4 kinds of salsa!
Did I mention the service?! One of the friendliest I’ve seen! Seriously, I loved everything I saw! The place was clean, people were friendly, food was delicious — what else can I ask for?!
Now I wonder how we didn’t find this place earlier. I was told they’ve been in business since 1986!
Ok, I ate myself sick! That’s the only bad part. But I couldn’t stop eating! Everything was so good!

Blah! First time here and it will be the last. I’m pretty sure the beans are from a can. The tacos were flat, not enough filling. I almost couldn’t even see the meat! There was also a lot of grease sitting under the tacos. The rice was white rice with little flavor. My 2 taco plate was $ 8.63 and they don’t even have Taco Tuesday’s! There was no one in there and now I see why. You’re better off going somewhere else.

I came here on a weeknight before close because they have menudo which comes with a choice of flour or corn tortilla. The boyfriend ordered a carne asada quesadilla which was a tad on the greasy side but was really tasty once the grease was soaked up with napkins. The friendly cashier lady with the striking eyes gave great service and provided us with free chips and salsa while we waited for the food. My menudo was just what I wanted: tender, hot, and flavorful with onion and cilantro. Oh yeah, I also got three beef rolled tacos. They were really crispy, but not beefy and had rice filler. I didn’t mind that too much but rolled taco enthusiasts may find that appalling. Overall, I would come to this sit-​down joint for the service, soup, and some carne asada dishes, but would be a little more discerning with other menu items.

I’m obsessed with their carne asada nachos! The one thing I always crave. The one thing I always want, no matter how I’m feeling. And always get a extra side of their nacho cheese! You can never have enough cheese. Friendly service. Will remember you and your order once you start coming in regularly. Got my fiancé and family hooked on them as well. I used to go there after school before I had games. I want some now…

This place is always friendly and their rice is so delicious! It had been a while since I had come here and I went earlier today and asked myself why I had stopped coming. Great place!

I’ve been eating here for almost 20 years, and they make my favorite shrimp burrito in San Diego. My husband is a big fan of he Good Morning burritos. Not only do they have multiple types of breakfast burritos, but they make them all day long, not just for breakfast. Nice salsa bar, terrific people.

Totally awesome. In my short visit to San Marco I went three times. The mole sauce on the enchiladas is to die for. Need tacos delicious. And (fried) fish tacos are perfect! Wonderful staff. Highly recommended.

I occasionally go here for lunch, and I would describe them as just ok. It’s usually a toss up on how you’re food is going to be. I got the carne asana fries on two occasions. The first time they were really good and the second time there were just too many grisly pieces of fat to pick through. Both of their ceviche options are really good (shrimp or fish).

I’ve come here s couple times, and each time the food is great. I love the chicken fajita burrito and their tortilla and chips and salsa are amazing! The thing that really stands out in this taco shop though is the service! Such friendly, amazing, helpful service. I will definitely be coming here again.
Dining area is kept clean and always seems to have a lot of customers. Prices are good also.

Nachos is a comfortable, friendly spot with the best chilaquiles I’ve had, not counting my sister-in-law’s. This restaurant has been run by the same family since forever. I’ve always experienced a warm welcome. Thanks Nachos for years of good Mexican food! Tip: get there before the high-​schoolers.

Great carne asada, excellent flavor, and the customer service was super friendly and fast. Definitely recommended. After a few more trips I could totally see it being a 5 star thing.

My favorite carne asada combo in North County. They have consistently kept quality over the years and prices are great as well. I enjoy their flour tortillas I believe they hand make them. The rice and beans are great with the combo of carne. The salsa bar is clean which is a must for a good taco shop. They run their a/​c it’s an all around comfortable place for Mexican food.
