I’m always in search of «authentic» tacos, and I may have finally found the place. Not only do they have a variety of choices of meat(pastor, barbacoa, lengua, tripa, cabeza, etc.), they also have a nice selection of salsas. Don’t forget to order a horchata or any other aguas frescas to wash down the food with! Lastly, make sure you save some room for dessert! Their coconut paleta and flan are my favorites!

Love this place. Come for breakfast or lunch in the café and take home a week’s worth of meat for dinner at unbelievably low prices. Today’s purchase-two huge rib-eyes, two full slabs of baby back ribs, one whole chicken and assorted chili’s, garlic, cilantro and mexican spices for $ 22. It was all I could do to stop buying meat. Their marinated fajitas meats looked great as did the bulk chorizo. Next visit I’ll try them. By the way, I don’t speak Spanish and never have a problem shopping here.

If it’s your first time ever coming here, before you walk in get yourself in the right mindset — that you’re walking into a Mexican meat market and Not HEB. LoL — so many of my friends have said there’s so much stuff written in Spanish and I’m like DUHH! I think they have Hands-Down the BEST Marinated Fajita meat in town! Everytime I go to someone’s house for a BBQ, I bring some fajitas from here that have been pre marinated in some red stuff, and after cooking them up everyone at the party is like where the F did you get those fajitas??? So if you’re looking for some Bomb-Ass Fajita meat, you should check this place out! Plus they have a really good produce area at really LOW prices!

Where my people grocery shop in San Marcos. Tuesdays they have 20% off select produce. The name has changed to QC market and they have revamped their taqueria where they sell cheap ass tacos, also known to you people as «street tacos». This place is legit.

My favorite place to go in San Marcos. This market is really fantastic. There is a small restaurant, and a great meat market! Some friends kept bringing this great fajita meet to parties to grill. So I had to ask where they were getting this absolute gift from on high. That is how I was introduced to this treasure. The meat market is substantial. My favorite has to be the Pastor. It is marinated in a house marinade which is beyond a mouth full of joy. They scatter pineapple through the meat so when you serve it there is a sweet with the super salty pork. Heaven. The staff is very helpful and I have yet to go when they weren’t putting out fresh produce. It gets the fifth star for prices and hours. Being a college town its great having a place this good for a late night party run.
