Great products and mostly a good staff. I have encountered a few snooty staff members. They were focused on their phones and friends who had come visit. Which is fine, but when you are asked a question I feel that you should answer with respect. I would recommend this place for your hammock and yeti gear.

This place is the only place I know of in San Marcos to that has an awesome collection of Texas/​country clothes and stuff. These guys are awesome. Just them out :)

We visited Hays Co Outfitters during Downtown Wine Walk last weekend as part of Texas State Family Weekend. This merchant was one of several participating in this event. They offered wines, beers, cheeses, and sausages. Obviously, this is not a normal occurrence for this merchant. However, the staff’s genuine hospitality and friendliness won us over. This is what I expect of a personal business owner. The store offers a variety of outdoor and adventure type gear for men and women. Nice selection. Excellent layout. Reasonable prices. I found a great shirt for 50% off on the sales rack. OVERALL: EXCELLENT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. They do not appear to have a website. More information here:
