I love Tacos, so therefore I love Del Taco. Note the word Taco in their name. This is a great place to eat Tacos and a lot of them for cheap. They got 59 cent Tacos, 1 dollar Tacos. 1 dollar 79 cent Tacos and even 2 dollar 79 cent Tacos. If you catch my drift then you get that Del Taco has lots of Tacos and that’s something to get excited about.

Who knows if you will get good or bad service. The food freshness has went from great to why would you give me something that stinks that bad. THEFISH. the help ranging from the good the bad and the ugly. At best hit or miss. Just like anything els new in town was good now you just don’t know if you want to see this time.

It’s Thursday and their Taco Thursday deal can’t be beat! Quick and friendly service made this a great visit leaving me a satisfied customer. I’ll be back soon!

Place has gone to the dumps since the replacement of the original general manager. Staff is rude and unwelcoming and the food has made a huge dive in quality. I’ll go there if I’m drunk and want a burnt tortilla with some beans and cheese on it.

Disappointed! I love Del taco and was happy to find that they open one in San mArcos. For over 20 years I’ve only order there soft tacos. Now my issue today is the cook might have been use to taco bells soft tacos because my tacos were loaded with meat and a FEWSTRINGSOFCHEESEANDLETTUCE. As we all know del taco, tacos are loaded with lettuce and cheese. Just kinda disappointed to see a taco sold at del taco to be so skimpy, I won’t be going there anymore unless am in Cali!

This place is solid. I have had Del Taco in Vegas and New Mexico, but this location seems better. The food and ingredients taste fresh. They have some cheap prices. Del Taco is better than Taco Bell and can be better than Taco Cabena minus the queso. It is very clean inside. The food tastes pretty good too, and the portions are a good size.

I’ve only had a few things of the el-cheapo menu, but I have to be honest, Del Taco is pretty dang good y’all! We made a pit stop here before Wurstfest — yes, we had food BEFORE Wurstfest… I had the value bean and cheese burrito and taco. That burrito hit the spot. And for 50 freaking cents I had a delicious snack! The burrito was full of beans, cheese, and red sauce(you also have the option of green). Importantly, no dang onions in it! I know, I know, onions add flavor but I find this not to be the case at fast food places. Usually my onions are raw, not properly cooked and cut into way to large of chunks. So I was happy there were no onions. Both the burrito and the taco needed some additional sauce added though. The taco was good for the price, but I would definitely stick with the burrito! Judge me if you like, but I really enjoyed this el-cheapo food from Del Taco!

Great food on a small budget! Staff is always extremely polite and welcoming. Love their bacon quesadillas and the strawberry lemonade.

I’ve been eating DT since the 90’s when they were all over SoCal(and still are!). So, needless to say, I think DT is a sight for sore eyes in the fast food«Mexican» landscape. So much better than Taco Hell or Taco No Buenos. So why right a review for a fast food joint? Well, I’ll tell you why… this location is hands down the nicest DT I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to more than you. The restaurant is immaculate, and yes, that includes the bathroom which I checked before tapping out this review. Staff is crazy friendly, proud of the work they do, and hard working. And all of this shows in the quality of their food prep and cleanliness of the restaurant. Small baskets of ketchup and hot sauce packs at each table?! What what?! I placed my order, turn around, and the dude who just took my order is busting his ass mopping the floor, wiping down tables, and offering to fetch drink refills. All fast food is not created equal. Treat yourself to this San Marcos gem.

This place is like a fusion of Taco Cabana and Taco Bueno. You’ve got a del cheapo fast food taco menu, with old school 50 cent burritos and 59 cent crunchy tacos, and up. And you’ve got a small(okay, tiny) premium taco menu with a tasty, albeit small, fish taco, and an awesome taco al carbon. They come on corn tortillas, but you can upgrade to flour for something like 40 cents, which was one of the few things that annoyed me slightly about Del Taco. There’s a bunch of overpriced fluff, like Taco Bell, to avoid: nachos, for example. And they’ve got, strangely, burgers and fries, which I haven’t tried, but seem pretty popular. A definite plus is the taco sauce and salsa bar, which doesn’t include stuff like pico, fresh jalapenos, onions, etc — but has some pretty good fast food taco sauces. It has awesome happy hour taco deals on Tues and Thurs nights, and a free cup of coffee with purchase each morning. For what it is, I really like this place.

Sooo good. I mean it’s obviously not real mexican food(trust me, I know) but for the category of cheap fake mex, it’s probably the best i’ve had. I’ve always been an avid Taco Bell follower, but after today, I’ve switched alliances. Del Taco is delicious, fairly priced and has great service. Everyone is friendly and their sauce options are DELICIOUS. Check it y’all! :)

I love Del Taco. I’ve been waiting 8 years for them to put one in TX. I drive over 30 miles just to go to this one. The food is awesome!!!

I have missed out on some great DT’s since I moved back to Texas for the umpteenth time in my life. I do have to mention though, that since it had been so long since my last visit, I was at information overload. I couldn’t decide what I wanted and had to filter through quite a few new items that I was not familiar with. The employees at this location are patient and accomodating. The building, well, it’s new but they’re doing a great job keeping up with the cleanliness so far. The location is a little off I-35 but not by much(probably less than half a block by my calculations) So acessible from the highway? You bet it is. Since I got there after the breakfast menu stopped(I had a hankerin’ for the breakfast steak burrito), I was denied but went with the Double Del. It’s their double cheeseburger and is similar to the Big Mac; however, the taste is definitely a lot fresher. I love the crinkle cut fries(I’m such a sucker for crinkle cuts) — it was crunchy and tender at the same time. The rest of my party ordered items such as the chipotle beef taco and the macho burrito. For the tacos, you have your choice of soft or crunchy and the chipotle we had was crunchy. Nice suble tangy flavor and a good crunch on the taco. I didn’t try the macho burrito but my buddy definitely had no complaints. :P

Worst fake Mexican food I’ve had in a while. I had the al carbon tacos the meat looked under cooked looked like something out of a microwave with some taco sauce that looked like ketchup. Never again!
