Autumn Chase Apartments

The other two reviews on these apartments are very dated. These apartments have just been remodeled. Brand new floors, stainless steel appliances, faux marble counters in the kitchen & BOTH bathrooms. Yes, you heard me right– these townhomes have a half bath downstairs & a full bath upstairs. They also come with washer/​dryer/​dishwasher. These were the best one bedrooms I found in SM & they happened to also be the best Price wise. I’m a happy girl.

One star because when it raid at least you can stay dry here. It used to have a friendly staff but there’s a new owner so the one thing they had good going for them is now gone. There finally remodeling but it’s cheap parts and labor so all the stuff from the 70s is out with new stuff. Just expect to pay for it in the new units. To avoid boring u anymore with stories like it took a year and a half to get a new fan up stairs with excuses like oh we’re out of stock for 6 months or we checked the fan it works fine… Oh the upstairs I’m sorry didn’t know we had those… I kid you not they didn’t know about there own fans; followed by 3 replacements, one was broke the second was broke by Maintenance and finally the new we wait the whole 100 degree summer for. Anyways basically 5 star price 1 star personality and quality DO NOT COME HERE EVERYTHING HERE IS A LIE RUN JUST RUN.

You get what you pay for. The units are extremely old and run down with minimal upkeep attempted. While in our unit we received new cabinets because ours fell apart and the AC unit leaked all over the brand new couch — twice. The leasing office staff are friendly, and so is maintenance, but the problem lies with their corporate backing, Carmel. We lived there because we had just graduated from college and were dirt poor, and there is a lot of trash living there. Many vehicles vandalized/​broken into while we were there and the Police were called to the property more times than I care to count. The bathrooms have no ventilation, so expect to call maintenance every 2 months to deal with the mold growing.
Maintenance is friendly and professional and does a good job, but those buildings are falling apart. It’s a great location (literally 15 seconds away from I-​35) but look for somewhere else unless your pocket book can’t afford it. Electric bill for minimal usage was extravagant because of horrible weather stripping/​insulation/​and a (presumably) 15 + year old AC unit.
Corporate is an even bigger joke. We had issues with them sending the deposit check to the wrong address, and it wasn’t resolved until 5 months later.
Avoid this place like the plague. The only reason they get two stars is because of friendly leasing staff. They try hard with what they have available.
