This place is alright. Even though it says 50% off dine in you’re still pretty much paying regular price like you would at any sushi restaurant. The fish itself looks questionable and not fresh. I’ve gotten the rainbow roll and the fish just looked old to me but I didn’t get food poisoning thank goodness. The employees are nice and the space is small. I come here with friends sometimes after class just cuz it’s down the street from my school so it’s convenient.

This is our go to spot after a round a golf at Twin Oaks. Lunch menu is diverse and you get plenty of food at a reasonable price. Service is good and the place is casual and comfortable. Outdoor seating not that good but since we have been outside for the better part of the day golfing being indoors for lunch suites us just fine. Try the place out if you like Sushi I am sure you will find something here you like.

Tuna x Tuna roll is amazing. Las Vegas roll is also amazing but very rich!(share it) Their rainbow roll is also very good. Love going here when I get a chance.

The servers here are hustling to get everyone what they need, with a quit and fun atmosphere, the prices aren’t the only thing bringing people here!

Good prices and good sushi. Never had a problem here. Sake bombs are delicious too: P The only downside I would have to give is the size of the restaurant. It’s a little small but it really hasn’t bothered or affected me while I visit. So I give this place a 5 star :)

This is my go-to place when I want Sushi and for CHEAP! My absolute favorite is Love Boat Sushi, but when Ahi Sushi always has their 50% selected rolls & cut rolls menu I’m there. They have their own style rolls so you probably won’t find some items as you would find else where. We first ordered miso soup and my bf liked it, but it tasted a little weird to me. I ordered an Avocado roll and a Veggie Tempura Roll added spicy mayo and jalapenos on top. They both were very fresh and delicious. My Bf ordered the Albacore, Spider, and some other roll(I cant’t remember). We ended up paying $ 38 for 5 rolls and the soups! Such a good fair deal and all delicious! Our waiter was very nice and helpful. Service was fast.

Ok. Let me start off by saying that the wait staff was great. Highly attentive and very friendly. With that being said, the food was nothing to right home about. I ordered sushi, lunch special yu hsiang chicken and a water. The sushi was kind of mushy and really not too flavorful. I ordered a salmon skin hand roll which was OK and I had no complaints about. The lunch special was in my opinion really bad and should not have been served. The hot and sour soup was not hot nor sour. It had a scorched taste to it and didn’t look or taste like any hot and sour I’ve ever experienced. Now the final part, the chicken dish. If thumbs down. The chicken was over cooked and dry with no flavor. I don’t know how long the chicken sat before it was«prepared» for me, but I could not eat it and had the waitress take it away. Fortunately I wasn’t charged for it. I I was highly disappointed with the food I was served and I will not be eating there again.

Waitress gave me Togo order when I was eating in and gave me my check before I even got my food, then the sushi tasted old and gross. Don’t go here

This was the go to place before another favorite sushi place of mine recently opened, but this is still the closest and still has the same great half prices. Yesterday we went for lunch and had the garlic endamame, dynamite roll which was super filling. I had also ordered a cali roll but had to get a box to go. I also had my first try at sake, which was interesting as I have never had a warm shot before. It was a good experience, and I will for sure keep checking in here.

Pros: big parking lot. The right size for a sushi place, not to big or small. Cons: they have their own style rolls so we ordered a variety, would have appreciated it if the waitress would let us know they had the same base. So much for our variety, I’m sure if this was our regular we would figure it out. Biggest con, I ordered ikura. the seaweed was filled to the top with rice and then had eggs on top. Salmon eggs are not expensive relatively, skimpy on them was unnecessary. Lots of options for Sushi, unfortunately for them I’ll continue to venture into others.

We were driving past the area and decided to check out this sushi place in hopes of finding something great. Not here unfortunately. It wasn’t packed when we got there. I thought it was interesting to have a special Chinese menu at a Sushi/Japanese place, but I’m cool with trying out a little bit of everything. Unfortunately they didn’t have a lot of items we were used to like Tuna Cut Roll(Teka Maki), which was a big let down for the hubby. We only saw a Spicy Tuna one. We ordered Spider Roll, Dynamite Roll, Tuna Sashimi, Unagi(Eel), Scallop Nigiri and Walnut Shrimp. The walnut shrimp was a little overpowering on the sauce. Everything else was just okay. They didn’t have scallops, so there went that roll. What bothered me was how lazy and uninterested the sushi chefs were. One was just chatting away to the other chef, and the other had his earbuds in the whole time. We asked for wasabi amd ginger when we got our first roll, and one of the guys looked like it was the end of the world to ask for some. He was grunting and huffing about, while throwing the items on the plate. A waitress and and someone from the kitchen were the only ones moving about. The poor waitress asked the earbud chef for jalapeños, which he missed. He told her they were out. She walked a couple of steps to the kitchen and came back with a bunch of them. Unfortunately we will not be back to this place again. There was a commercial for Jack in the Box playing on the tv, and it was more appetizing than what we experienced here.

Visited Ahi a few times and again last night. It was open later than my usual place, so we decided to try it again. The servers are phenomenal and really spot on. The food is served at a decent pace. But the sushi seems to be a little inconsistent. I’m a creature of habit and always order the seafood dynamite and a spicy scallop hand roll. Both good, but not made with quite the same care as before. The hand roll was sloppy and thrown together and the dynamite seemed to have some broiled/cooked fish on it as well(which wasn’t there the last two times). My favorite place for music… hair metal all night. It was a funny, but great combination. I think I just dated myself. In short, it’s a great place to fill in the gap in my sushi rotation.

Probably my favorite sushi place in North County. It is not too far from CSUSM, which was really nice when I was going to school there. I usually go when it’s not busy, which is right when it opens However, it is weird that it doesn’t open at 11 but at 11:15. I like to add that music is on point there. The sushi is delicious, big enough size, and fairly cheap for what you get. Plus once you order, it is pretty fast service, and it doesn’t really disappoint when you get it every time. I got take-out before and the sushi is still just as good as eating in the restaurant. If you are ever craving sushi near North County San Diego, this is the place to go!

I recently grabbed take-out from Ahi Sushi after not visiting for years. I ordered two rolls and an albacore salad. I didn’t really enjoy the salad. Something tasted off… maybe the fish wasn’t as fresh as it could have been? The rolls were good. Reasonably priced, stayed together… I’d ordered rolls from them again, just not a salad.

I came here around lunchtime on a Monday to grab a quick lunch with coworkers. To drink, I got iced green tea, which really hit the spot and was super refreshing. To eat, I got a Philadelphia roll and tempura udon(I was hungry!). The Philadelphia roll is always one of my favorites because of the creamy and cool cream cheese, and this particular roll was no exception. Yummy! My tempura udon, which came with all the tempura veggies and shrimp on the side, was good! Though I’m not used to my udon having sesame oil on top, it actually added a nice and subtle nutty flavor. The tempura goodies were all well-cooked and a nice crunchy accompaniment to my overall meal. I’d definitely go back to Ahi Sushi for lunch or dinner. Also, at lunchtime they have really cheap lunch specials. My Philly rolls happened to be half off as well. Overall, great deal and good food!

I just went to this restaurant for dinner with my bf and I loved the atmosphere. But I was not a fan of really close seating when you are a party of two, you can basically ease drop on the couple next to you. It can be kind of awkward because we were basically whispering so no one can listen to our conversation. It was very loud but had fun music. Sushi was good but I felt that they could use more rice around the rolls because it wasn’t that filling, well at least the roll I got(crunchy roll). Miso soup was good and Mochi for dessert was yummy but didn’t like how they drizzled chocolate over it, so if you like it plain make sure to tell them!

The entrance of the restaurant was nice, it had nice open celling concept. Then, when you got through the entrance, everything was so cramped and close together. The best thing I got here was the appetizer, which was a stuffed mushroom. Everything else was MEH!!! We also ordered a sushi boat, which was very esthetically beautiful. However, the avocado tasted stale and old. The sushi was not fresh and I honestly could of made something better. I recommend not to get your hopes up. I would go here again, if it was the only sushi place in the area and I was starving.
